Workplace bullying and its association with secondary traumatic stress and turnover intention among emergency and critical care nurses

Objective:This study aims to identify the prevalence of bullying in the workplace and to examine its association with turnover(TO)intention and secondary traumatic stress(STS)among Jordanian nurses employed in Emergency Departments(EDs)and critical care units(CCUs).Nurses employed in the EDs and CCUs are exposed to high levels of bullying behaviors that may contribute to STS,leading to high rates of ***:A descriptive cross-sectional design was used.A sample of 150 Jordanian nurses working in CCUs and EDs completed the *** collection was performed using the Demographical Questionnaire,the Negative Acts Questionnaire-Revised(NAQ-R),ProQOL scale,and TO *** IbM SPSS software was used to analyze ***:About 10.7%and 89.3%were categorized as“occasionally bullied”and“victims of workplace bullying”*** bullying was positively associated with TO intention(r=0.46,Pbullying was a unique significant predictor of TO intention(t=4.59,b=0.34,Pb=0.34,Pbullying behavior has negative adversarial effects on TO and the experience of *** prevalence of bullying behavior in the EDs and CCUs remains high despite the increasing awareness of its negative *** organizations should put systems in place to ensure that zero-tolerance policy are monitored in terms of the effectiveness of its implementation.

We report on the temperature-dependent Schottky barrier in organic solar cells based on PTb7:*** ideality factor is found to increase with temperature decreasing,which is explained by a model in which the solar cell is taken as Schottky barrier ***,the dark current in the device originates from the thermally emitted electrons across the Schottky *** fittings obtained with the thermal emission theory are systematically studied at different *** is concluded that the blend/Ca/Al interface presents great inhomogeneity,which can be described by 2 sets of Gaussian distributions with large zero bias standard *** the decrease of temperature,electrons favor going across the Schottky barrier patches with lower barrier height and as a consequence the ideally factor significantly increases at low temperature.

Incorporation of silica into the goethite structure: a microscopic and spectroscopic study

Quartz and iron(hydr)oxide are reactive surface phases that are often associated with one another in soils and sediments. Despite the several studies on the coating of quartz with iron oxides, the reactivity of dissolved species(Si) leached from quartz with iron(hydr)oxides has received limited attention. In this study, goethite synthesized on quartz substrates were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy, and Fouriertransform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy. The SEM characterization revealed that bundles of thin parallel aligned goethite rods were formed at p H [ 10, while large pseudohexagonal crystals of twinned goethite needles were synthesized at p H b 10 after dehydration and hydration in the alkaline media. TEM analysis showed expanded and distorted lattice spacing of the crystal structure of iron(hydr)oxide due to silica incorporation. The characterization showed that silica increased the crystallite size of the goethite and transformed its acicular texture to a larger,twinned needle structure. FT-IR and XRD analyses revealed band shifts in crystal bonds as well as new bond formations, which indicate the presence of changes in the chemical environment of Fe–O and Si–O bonds. Thus, the presence of sorbed silicates modifies the crystal and lattice structure of goethite.

Interaction of point defects with twin boundaries in Au: A molecular dynamics study

The molecular dynamics simulation technique with many-body and semi-empirical potentials （based on the embedded atom method potentials） has been used to calculate the interactions of point defects with （1 1 1）, （1 1 3）, and （1 2 0） twin boundaries in Au at different temperatures. The interactions of single-, di-, and tri-vacancies （at on- and off-mirror sites） with the twin interfaces at 300 K are calculated. All vacancy clusters are favorable at the on-mirror arrangement near the （1 1 3） twin boundary. Single- and di-vacancies are more favorable at the on-mirror sites near the （1 1 l） twin boundary, while they are favorable at the oft-mirror sites near the （1 2 0） twin boundary. Almost all vacancy clusters energetically prefer to lie in planes closest to the interface rather than away from it, except for tri-vacancies near the （1 2 0） interface at the off-mirror site and for 3.3 and 3.4 vacancy clusters at both sites near the （1 1 1） interface, which are favorable away from the interface. The interaction energy is high at high temperatures.

Electrochemical oxidation of hydroquinone（1a） has been studied in the presence of 6-methyl-2-thiouracil（3a） and 6-propyl-2-thiouracil（3b） as nucleophiles in a DMF/buffer mixture,using cyclic voltammetry and controlled-potential *** results indicated that the p-quinone（2a） derived from 1a participates in a 1 4-Michael addition reaction with the thiouracil derivatives（3a–b） to form the corresponding hydroquinonethioether derivatives（6a–6b）.The electrosynthesis of these compounds（6a–b） has been successfully performed on carbon rod electrodes in an undivided cell in good yield and purity.

Pore size classification and prediction based on distribution of reservoir fluid volumes utilizing well logs and deep learning algorithm in a complex lithology

Pore size analysis plays a pivotal role in unraveling reservoir behavior and its intricate relationship with confined *** methods for predicting pore size distribution(PSD),relying on drilling cores or thin sections,face limitations associated with depth *** this study,we introduce an innovative framework that leverages nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)log data,encompassing clay-bound water(CbW),bound volume irreducible(bVI),and free fluid volume(FFV),to determine three PSDs(micropores,mesopores,and macropores).Moreover,we establish a robust pore size classification(PSC)system utilizing ternary plots,derived from the *** the three studied wells,NMR log data is exclusive to one well(well-A),while conventional well logs are accessible for all three wells(well-A,well-b,and well-C).This distinction enables PSD predictions for the remaining two wells(b and C).To prognosticate NMR outputs(CbW,bVI,FFV)for these wells,a two-step deep learning(DL)algorithm is ***,three feature selection algorithms(f-classif,f-regression,and mutual-info-regression)identify the conventional well logs most correlated to NMR outputs in *** three feature selection algorithms utilize statistical *** algorithms are utilized to systematically identify and optimize pertinent input features,thereby augmenting model interpretability and predictive efficacy within intricate data-driven ***,all three feature selection algorithms introduced the number of 4 logs as the most optimal number of inputs to the DL algorithm with different combinations of logs for each of the three desired ***,the CUDA Deep Neural Network Long Short-Term Memory algorithm(CUDNNLSTM),belonging to the category of DL algorithms and harnessing the computational power of GPUs,is employed for the prediction of CbW,bVI,and FFV *** prediction leverages the optimal logs identified in the preceding *** of NMR outputs was done
