A method to determine relevant geomechanical parameters for evaluating the hydraulic erodibility of rock

Among the methods used for evaluating the potential hydraulic erodibility of rock,the most common methods are those based on the correlation between the force of flowing water and the capacity of a rock to resist erosion,such as Annandale’s and Pells’*** capacity of a rock to resist erosion is evaluated based on erodibility indices that are determined from specific geomechanical parameters of a rock *** indices include unconfined compressive strength(UCS)of rock,rock block size,joint shear strength,a block’s shape and orientation relative to the direction of flow,joint openings,and the nature of the surface to be potentially ***,it is difficult to determine the relevant geomechanical parameters for evaluating the hydraulic erodibility of *** assessment of eroded unlined spillways of dams has shown that the capacity of a rock to resist erosion is not accurately *** more than 100 case studies,we develop a method to determine the relevant geomechanical parameters for evaluating the hydraulic erodibility of rock in unlined *** UCS of rock is found not to be a relevant parameter for evaluating the hydraulic erodibility of *** the other hand,we find that the use of three-dimensional(3D)block volume measurements,instead of the block size factor used in Annandale’s method,improves the rock block size ***,the parameter representing the effect of a rock block’s shape and orientation relative to the direction of flow,as considered in Pells’method,is more accurate than the parameter adopted by Annandale’s method.

The sequence space bvp consisting of all sequences （xk） such that （xk -xk-1） belongs to the space gp has recently been introduced by Basar and Altay [Ukrainian Math. J., 55（1）, 136-147（2003）]; where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. In the present paper, some results concerning with the continuous dual and f-dual, and the AD-property of the sequence space bvp have been given and the norm of the difference operator A acting on the sequence space bvp has been found. The fine spectrum with respect to the goldberg＇s classification of the difference operator △ over the sequence space bvp has been determined, where 1≤p〈∞.

Background and objectives:Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)techniques provide rapid detection of *** pilot study evaluated the diagnostic utility and clinical impact of multiplex real-time PCR(mRT-PCR,SeptiFast)*** microbial culture(CMC)in bile samples of patients with chronic cholestatic liver diseases(cCLDs),endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography(ERCP),and peri-interventional-antimicrobial-prophylaxis(pAP).Methods:We prospectively collected bile samples from 26 patients for microbiological analysis by CMC and *** of the results of both methods was determined by Krippendorff's alpha(α)for inter-rater reliability and the Jaccard index of ***:mRT-PCR_(bile)and CMC_(bile)results were concordant for only Candida albicans(α=0.8406;Jaccard index=0.8181).mRT-PCR_(bile)detected pathogens in 8/8 cases(100%),CMC_(bile)in 7/8(87.5%),and CMCblood in 5/8(62.5%)with clinical signs of ***_(bile),CMC_(bile),and CMCblood had identical detection results in 3/8(37.5%)with clinical signs of infection(two Klebsiella *** one Enterococcus faecium).The total pathogen count was significantly higher with mRT-PCR_(bile)than with CMC_(bile)(62 vs.31;χ^(2)=30.031,pgens detected by mRT-PCR_(bile)were more often susceptible to pAP according to the patient infection/colonization history(PI/CH)and surveillance data for antibiotic resistance in our clinic(DARC).Pathogens identified by mRT-PC_(rbile)and resistant to pAP by PI/CH and DARC were likely to be clinically ***:mRT-PCR in conjunction with CMCs for bile analysis increased diagnostic sensitivity and may benefit infection management in patients with cholestatic *** of mRT-PCR in a bile sample-based diagnostic routine can support more rapid and targeted use of antimicrobial agents in cCLD-patients undergoing ERCP and reduce the rate/length of unnecessary administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics.

This work;It was made to determine the positive and negative usage information, attitudes and behaviors of social networking networks for users. Today, it is well known how the wide social effects of social networking sites are widespread and effective. As far as it can be followed from written and visual media, it causes significant damages for attitudes and behaviors for individuals. Looking at the results of the study, it seems impossible to limit the time and necessity of these networks for people, but it is understood that people force their limits and capacity. It was determined that the general acceptance and rejection areas are mixed and the dominant distinctive effects were weakened. Unable to prevent social dissolution and deterioration was realized by these social networks of networks. However, we cannot only talk about negative effects because their positive effects should be mentioned. Data were obtained in this direction. For example, some segments encourage the users of these sites to have more freedom, to develop democracy and human rights awareness. However, the real problem is when and where to stand. This study;Social networking networks use information, attitudes and behaviors;It was carried out for the purpose of evaluating the use of nicknames and networks for the use of networks. The data of the study were obtained by the application of a questionnaire and the data obtained were analyzed with appropriate statistical analysis methods. In the first part of the study, field study/operational concept scanning is performed and theoretical information is included. Fabrication and mechanical properties of MWCNTs-reinforced aluminum composites by hot extrusion

Over the past decade,the interest in aluminum composites reinforced with carbon nanotubes has grown *** have been carried out to overcome problems with uniform dispersion,interfacial bonding,void formation and carbide formation of the *** the present work,multi-wall carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) aluminum composites were ***-energy ball milling with the aim at developing well-dispersed MWCNTs Al composites was followed by cold compaction,sintering,and hot extrusion at 500 ℃.Different amounts of stearic acid as processing control agent(PCA) is used in order to minimize cold welding of the Al particles,and to produce finer *** scanning calorimetry(DSC),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were employed to analyze the MWCNTs,the aluminum powder,and the composites’ microstructural *** hardness and tensile properties of the composites are also *** results showed 500% increase in yield stress after the addition of 1 wt% MWCNTs in Al-MWCNTs based *** ball-milling time of 4 h is found to be sufficient as excessive milling time destroys a vast number of MWCNTs.

A Solid Phase Extraction Application of Hybrid Nano B2O3/zrO2 for Separation and Determination of Trace Indium in Environmental Samples

Hybrid nanomaterials have attracted considerable interest in environmental science,analytical chemistry and atomic *** the present study,a column solid phase extractioo procedure was developed for the separation and preconcentration of indium in various matrixes by using hybrid nanomaterial B_2O_3/zrO_2(HNMBz).Various experimental and analytical parameters such as sample solution pH,sample solution volume,flow rate of sample solution and eluent,volume and concentration of eluent aod amount of HNMBz,effect of common matrix ions and capacity of sorbent were *** adsorbed metal ions on HNMBz were eluted with 6mL of 1mol·L^(-1 )HNO_3solutions and their concentrations were determined by high-resolution continuum source flame atomic absorption spectrometry(HR-CS FAAS).Under the optimized conditions,detection limits for indium for 3pixels and 5pixels were found as 0.20and 0.16μg·L^(-1),*** accuracy of the procedure was checked by spiked water *** developed procedure was successfully applied to real samples for the separation and determination of indium.

Electrophysiological evaluation of alterations in penile sensation due to penile prosthesis implantation in patients with erectile dysfunction

Objective The present study was aimed to determine the effect of penile prosthesis implantation(PPI)surgery on penile sensation by evaluating the penile electromyography(EMg)*** The research was designed as a prospective *** patients who were diagnosed with organic erectile dysfunction and had underwent PPI surgery between January 2017 and January 2018 in the Urology Clinic of Antalya Training and Research Hospital were included in this *** sensory EMg was performed on each patient 1 day prior to the surgery by the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation ***,the control EMg study was also performed in the 3rd and 6th postoperative *** We included 27 patients in this study who attended regular follow-ups and had complete EMg *** of the 27 patients,23(85.2%)patients had received malleable(ProMedon)penile prosthesis,one(3.7%)patient had received a two-piece inflatable(Ambicor)penile prosthesis,and three(11.1%)patients had received a three-piece inflatable(AMS 700 CXR)penile *** mean nerve conduction value(NCV)of the patients was 29.85(standard derivation:22.54;range:0-78.4)m/s during the preoperative period,whereas it was 27.64(standard derivation:24.72;range:0-83.3)m/s in the 3rd postoperative month and 24.80(standard derivation:22.31;range:0-88.4)m/s in the 6th postoperative *** was no significant difference between preoperative NCV and 3rd postoperative month NCV(p=0.607).Similarly,no significant difference was observed between preoperative NCV and 6th postoperative month NCV(p=0.276).Additionally,the change between NCV values at postoperative 3rd and 6th months was not statistically significant(p=0.553).Conclusion Significant loss of penile sensation does not occur in patients who undergo PPI surgery.

Influence of Partial Coherent Light on the Transmission Spectrum and goos-H?nchen Shift in Rydberg Atomic Medium

A cold atomic medium(Rydberg medium) with cascade configuration under the blockade mechanism is considered. A partial coherent light(PCL) beam is incident on the medium, which makes an angle θ with z-axis. We study the influence of PCL field on the transmission spectrum and find high transmission of probe field for PCL ***, it is investigated that the transparency of probe field decrease for coherent light field. The transmission of probe field is also studied via beam width of PCL field and investigated high transmission of probe field for small beam width and vice versa. Interestingly, the goos-H?nchen shift(gHS) in the transmitted light(TL) is studied for PCL field. Large negative and positive gHS in the TL are investigated for PCL field and small beam width of PCL field.
