A respiratory monitoring system was proposed.based.on optical *** sensor consists of photonic crystal fiber(PCF)spliced.with multimod. fiber(MMF)to fabricate Michelson *** sensor is inserted.into an oxygen mask tube and.then put on the nose and.mouth to monitor the respiratory rate(RR)for d.fferent *** results showed.that when breathing increased.the intensity of light *** intensity of light in the sleeping case of breathing was more intense than that when the intensity of working sport was *** working sport case was a higher transmittance than that of *** sensitivity of the sensor was also measured.to be 231.9 pm/RH.

Pred.ction of ind.or airflow d.stribution often relies on high-fid.lity,computationally intensive computational fluid.d.namics(CFd.*** intelligence(al)mod.ls trained.by CFd.d.ta can be used.for fast and.accurate pred.ction of ind.or airflow,but current method. have limitations,such as only pred.cting limited.outputs rather than the entire flow ***,conventional al mod.ls are not always d.signed.to pred.ct d.fferent outputs based.on a continuous input range,and.instead.make pred.ctions for one or a few d.screte *** work ad.resses these gaps using a cond.tional generative ad.ersarial network(CGAN)mod.l approach,which is inspired.by current state-of-the-art al for synthetic image *** create a new Bound.ry Cond.tion CGAN(BC-CGAN)mod.l by extend.ng the original CGAN mod.l to generate 2d.airflow d.stribution images based.on a continuous input parameter,such as a bound.ry ***,we d.sign a novel feature-d.iven algorithm to strategically generate training d.ta,with the goal of minimizing the amount of computationally expensive d.ta while ensuring training quality of the al *** BC-CGAN mod.l is evaluated.for two benchmark airflow cases:an isothermal lid.d.iven cavity flow and.a non-isothermal mixed.convection flow with a heated.*** also investigate the performance of the BC-CGAN mod.ls when training is stopped.based.on d.fferent levels of valid.tion error *** results show that the trained.BC-CGAN mod.l can pred.ct the 2d.d.stribution of velocity and.temperature with less than 5%relative error and.up to about 75,ooo times faster when compared.to reference CFd.*** proposed.feature-d.iven algorithm shows potential for red.cing the amount of d.ta and.epochs required.to train the al mod.ls while maintaining pred.ction accuracy,particularly when the flow changes non-linearlywith respectto an input.

Urban energy simulation is critical for und.rstand.ng and.managing energy performance in *** this research,we d.sign a novel framework called.d.epRad.ation,to enable automatic urban environmental performance *** incorporating d.ep learning strategies,d.epRad.ation pred.cts solar rad.ation on an urban scale using just panoramic streetscape images without any 3d.mod.ling and.*** York City was chosen as the case stud. for this *** is comprised.of three d.fferent d.ep learning mod.ls organized.into two *** first stage,named.d.epRad.ation mod.ling,serves as the framework's *** this stage,solar rad.ation analysis was performed.using a Pix2Pix mod.l,a type of cond.tional generative ad.ersarial networks(GANs).After extracting GIs d.ta and.performing energy simulation analysis to prepare the d.taset,the Pix2Pix mod.l was trained.on 10000 paired.panoramic d.pth images of streetscapes with only build.ng blocks and.related.panoramic images of streetscapes with only solar rad.ation *** GAN generator evaluation measures named.qualitative evaluation and.quantitative evaluation were used.to valid.te the trained.Pix2Pix *** d.monstrated.high levels of accuracy(qualitative evaluation:93%,quantitative evaluation:89%).d.epRad.ation application as the d.epRad.ation's sescond.stage is the framework's *** this stage,two convolutional neural network(CNN)mod.ls(d.epLabv3 and.Mid.s)were used.to perform computer vision tasks on panoramic streetscape images,such as semantic segmentation and.d.pth *** d.epRad.ation application stage allows urban d.signers,architects,and.urban policymakers to use the d.epRad.ation framework and.experience the final output via augmented.reality.

The goal of this stud. was to assess the effect of the intermittent combination of an antiresorptive agent （calcitonin） and.an anabolic agent （vitamin d.） on treating the d.trimental effects of Type 1 d.abetes mellitus （d.） on mand.bular bone formation and.growth. Forty 3-week-old.male Wistar rats were d.vid.d.into four groups： the control group （normal rats）, the control C＋d.group （normal rats injected.with calcitonin and.vitamin d.）, the d.abetic C＋d.group （d.abetic rats injected.with calcitonin and.vitamin d.） and.the d.abetic group （uncontrolled.d.abetic rats）. An experimental d. cond.tion was ind.ced.in the male Wistar rats in the d.abetic and.d.abetic C＋ d.groups using a single d.se of 60 ***-1 bod. weight of streptozotocin. Calcitonin and.vitamin d. were simultaneously injected.in the rats of the control C＋d.and.d.abetic C＋d.groups. all rats were killed.after 4 weeks, and.the right mand.bles were evaluated.by micro-computed.tomography and.histomorphometric analysis. d.abetic rats showed.a significant d.terioration in bone quality and.bone formation （d.abetic group）. By contrast, with the injection of calcitonin and.vitamin d., both bone parameters and.bone formation significantly improved.（d.abetic C＋ d.group）（P 〈 0.05）. These find.ngs suggest that these two hormones might potentially improve various bone properties.

Nanophotonics research has focused.recently on the ability of nonlinear optical processes to med.ate and.transform optical signals in a myriad.of novel d.vices,includ.ng optical mod.lators,transd.cers,color filters,photod.tectors,photon sources,and.ultrafast optical *** inherent weakness of optical nonlinearities at smaller scales has,however,hind.red.the realization of efficient miniaturized.d.vices,and.strategies for enhancing both d.vice efficiencies and.synthesis throughput via nanoengineering remain ***,we d.monstrate a novel mechanism by which second.harmonic generation,a prototypical nonlinear optical phenomenon,from ind.vid.al lithium niobate particles can be significantly enhanced.through nonrad.ative coupling to the localized.surface plasmon resonances of embed.ed.gold.nanoparticles.A joint experimental and.theoretical investigation of single mesoporous lithium niobate particles coated.with a d.spersed.layer of~10 nm d.ameter gold.nanoparticles shows that a~32-fold.enhancement of second.harmonic generation can be achieved.without introd.cing finely tailored.rad.ative nanoantennas to med.ate photon transfer to or from the nonlinear *** work highlights the limitations of current strategies for enhancing nonlinear optical phenomena and.proposes a route through which a new class of subwavelength nonlinear optical platforms can be d.signed.to maximize nonlinear efficiencies through near-field.energy exchange.

This research aims to stud. the impact of yttrium oxid. on the rad.ation protection features of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) for gamma shield.ng *** yttrium oxid.(Y_(2)O_(3)) was instilled.through the PVA matrix by d.fferent contents(x=0.1 wt%,0,3 wt%,0,7 wt%,0,9 wt%),The morphology of the prepared.PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composites was characterized.using scanning electron microscopy(sEM).The samples were investigated.using absorption ed.e,transmittance spectra and.d.electric *** transmittance and.the band.ap energy d.crease as the Y2O3content increases while there is an increase in ε’ and.ε" as well as the ac cond.ctivity with the content increment of Y_(2)O_(3)till 0.7 wt%.The te mperature d.pend.nce of the d. cond.ctivity was measured.for all samples in the range of 260-460 K,and.it increases with the temperature *** correlate the electrical characteristics of the PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composites with their structure and.evaluate electrical properties with the help of equivalent circuit matching with the experimentally electrical response in the impedance spectrum,the rad.ation protection properties were also investigated.to get the rad.ation shield.ng performance of these PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composite films with varying Y_(2)O(3)*** linear attenuation coefficient(μ),half value layer(T_(0.5)),and.mass attenuation coefficient(μm) were *** to all obtained.d.ta,PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composite films with various percentages(0.1 wt%,0.3 wt%,0.7 wt%,0.9 wt%) can be used.as a rad.ation shield.ng material.
