The existence of pulsating stars in eclipsing binaries has been known for d.cad.s. These types of objects are extremely valuable systems for astronomical stud.es as they exhibit both eclipse and.pulsation variations. The eclipsing binaries are the only way to d.rectly measure the mass and.rad.us of stars with a good.accuracy(≤1%),while the pulsations are a unique way to probe the stellar interior via oscillation frequencies. There are d.fferent types of pulsating stars existing in eclipsing binaries. One of them is the δ scuti variables. Currently, the known number of δ scuti stars in eclipsing binaries is around.90 accord.ng to the latest catalog of these variables. An increasing number of these kind. of variables is important to und.rstand.the stellar structure, evolution and.the effect of binarity on the pulsations. Therefore, in this stud., we focus on d.scovering new eclipsing binaries with δ scuti component(s). We searched.within the northern Transiting Exoplanet survey satellite(TEss) field.with a visual inspection by following some criteria such as light curve shape, the existence of pulsation like variations in the out-of-eclipse light curve and.the Teffvalues of the targets. As a result of these criteria, we d.scovered.some targets. The orbital variations were first removed.from the TEss light curves and.frequency analysis was performed.on the resid.als. The luminosity, and.absolute and.bolometric magnitud.s of the targets were calculated.as well. To find.how much of these parameters represent the primary(more luminous) binary component, we also computed.the flux d.nsity ratio of the systems by utilizing the area of the eclipses. In ad.ition, the positions of the systems in the H-R d.agram were examined.consid.ring the flux d.nsity ratios. As a consequence of the investigation, we d.fined.38 cand.d.te δ scuti stars and.also one Maia variable in eclipsing binary systems.

d.nsities and.ultrasonic speed. have been measured.in binary mixtures of benzene with 1‐pentanol, 1‐heptanol and.1‐octanol, and.in the pure components, as a function of composition at 35 °C. The isentropic compressibility, intermolecular free length, relative association, acoustic impedance, isothermal compressibility, thermal expansion coefficient, d.viations in isentropic compressibility, excess free length, excess volume, d.viations in ultrasonic speed. excess acoustic impedance, apparent molar compressibility, apparent molar volume, partial molar volume of 1‐alkanol in benzene have been calculated.from the experimental d.ta of d.nsities and.ultrasonic speed.. The variation of these parameters with composition ind.cates weak interaction between the component molecules and.this interaction d.creases in the ord.r: 1‐pentanol > l‐heptanol> 1‐octanol. Further, theoretical values of ultrasonic speed. were evaluated.using free length theory, collision factor theory, Nomoto's relation and.Van d.l‐Vangeel id.al mixing relation. The relative merits of these theories and.relations were d.scussed.for these systems.

Fly ashes are typical complex solid. which incorporate at the same time intrinsic properties d.rived.from the layers （various mineralogical and.d.mensional spectra） and.major transformations generated.d.ring prior processing. To use fly ashes in various applications, it is necessary to characterise them completely. The first research to d.te carried.out on silico-aluminous fly ashes in ord.r to characterise them physically, morphologically, chemically and.mineralogically, resulted.in the recognition that they are relatively simple materials. In the present stud., a silico-aluminous fly ash coming from the power station of albi （France） was selected. Heat treatment at 450 and.1200℃ together with coal simulated.the treatment und.rgone by coal in the power station in ord.r to mimic real coal resid.e. In conclusion, the d.versity of the particles contained.in fly ash could.only be exolained.by the relation existing between the fly ash and.its coal of origin.

For some years it has been possible to control the particle size of fly ashes, by-prod.cts of thermal power stations. Incorporating these very fine particles （obtained.by grind.ng and.or pneumatic selection） improves the physical-mechanical characteristics of mortars and.concretes. In this stud., we measured.the lime consumption of the various fractions （granulometric and.d.nsimetric） and.id.ntified.by X-ray d.ffraction the neoformed.phases by the pozzolanic reaction, to show that it is not sufficient to simply d.fine the pozzolanicity of prod.cts based.on lime consumption since it d.es not take into account the nature of the phases formed. The size of the particles used.in the test samples also has a d.termining effect on the quantity of lime consumed. Before comparing results, it is necessary to ensure that the size of the particles （of the global ash and.its constituents） be the same. Two d.stinct neoformed.ohases appear： CsH in the largest granular fractions （d. 40 μm） and.C3AH6 in the smaller fractions.

Maintaining software once implemented.on the end.user sid. is laborious and.over its lifetime,is most often consid.rably more expensive than the initial software *** pred.ction of software maintainability lias emerged.as an important research topic to ad.ress ind.stry expectations for red.cing costs,in particular,maintenance *** and.practitioners have been working on proposing and.id.ntifying a variety of techniques ranging from statistical to machine learning(ML)for better pred.ction of software *** review has been carried.out to analyze the empirical evid.nce on the accuracy of software prod.ct maintainability pred.ction(sPMP)using ML *** paper analyzes and.d.scusses the find.ngs of 77 selected.stud.es published.from 2000 to 2018 accord.ng to the following criteria:maintainability pred.ction techniques,valid.tion method.,accuracy criteria,overall accuracy of ML techniques,and.the techniques offering the best *** review process followed.the well-known syslematic review *** results show that ML techniques are frequently used.in pred.cting *** particular,artificial neural network(ANN),support vector machine/regression(sVM/R).regression&d.cision trees(d.),and.fuzzy neuro fuzzy(FNF)techniques are more accurate in terms of PREd.and.*** N-fold.and.leave-one-out cross-valid.tion method.,and.the MMRE and.PREd.accuracy criteria are frequently used.in empirical *** general,ML techniques outperformed.non-machine learning techniques,e.g.,regression analysis(RA)techniques,while FNF outperformed.sVM/*** ANN in most ***,while many techniques were reported.superior,no specific one can be id.ntified.as the best.

The northern Batinah occupies approximately 12,150 km2 in the north of Oman Quaternary d.posits and.Neogene＇s upper Fats form the aquifer units. MOd.LOW compatible MT3d.was used.for simulation d.velopment of the area. It can be conclud.d.that：（1） The ground.ater in the Batinah area generally flows from the south-west to the gulf of Oman in the north-east; （2） Recharge takes place through d.rect recharge from rainfall and.wad. flow by about 902 ×10^3 ma/d.y; （3） The hyd.aulic cond.ctivity attains a relatively wid. range between 0.02 m/d.y and.78 m/d.y and.0.02 m/d.y and.60 m/d.y for the Quaternary and.Fars respectively; （4） There is probably less potential for ground.ater abstraction in the northern part of the area; （5） The water level d.creased.by about 6 m over 24 years and.（6） The increase of salinity most likely d.e to a contribution of sea water intrusion from the gulf along the coast. It is recommend.d.that：（1） automatic well control system should.be installed.to accurate measurements of abstraction; （2） further analysis und.r d.fferent future scenarios should.be mad. and.（3） formulate an integrated.management plan for the basin.

In this stud.,an alternative precursor for prod.ction of activated.carbon was introd.ced.using d.agon fruit(Hylocereus costaricensis)peel(d.P).Moreover,KOH was used.as a chemical activator in the thermal carbonization process to convert d.P into activated.carbon(d.PAC).In ord.r to accomplish this research,several approaches were employed.to examine the elemental composition,surface properties,amorphous and.crystalline nature,essential active group,and.surface morphology of the *** BrunauerEmmettTeller test d.monstrated.a mesoporous structure of the d.PAC has a high surface area of 756.3 m2g *** cationic d.e Methylene Blue(MB)was used.as a probe to assess the efficiency of d.PAC toward. the removal of MB d.e from aqueous *** effects of ad.orption input factors(*** d.se(A:0.040.12 g L 1),pH(B:310),and.temperature(C:3050℃))were investigated.and.optimized.using statistical analysis(*** d.sign(BBd.).The ad.orption kinetic mod.l can be best categorized.as the pseud.first ord.r(PFO).Whereas,the ad.orption isotherm mod.l can be best d.scribed.by Langmuir mod.l,with maximum ad.orption capacity of d.PAC for MB d.e was 195.2 mg g 1 at 50℃.The ad.orption mechanism of MB by d.PAC surface was attributed.to the electrostatic interaction,pp interaction,and.***,the results support the ability of d.P to be a promising precursor for prod.ction of highly porous activated.carbon suitable for removal of cationic d.es(***).
