The Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA) is a recently proposed swarm intelligence algorithm inspired by salps, a marine creature similar to jellyfish. despite its simple structure and solid exploratory ability, SSA suffers from low convergence accuracy and slow convergence speed when dealing with some complex problems. Therefore, this paper proposes an improved algorithm based on SSA and adds three improvements. First, the Real-time Update Mechanism (RUM) underwrites the role of ensuring that excellent individual information will not be lost and information exchange will not lag in the iterative process. Second, the Communication Strategy (CMS), on the other hand, uses the multiplicative relationship of multiple individuals to regulate the exploration and exploitation process dynamically. Third, the Selective Replacement Strategy (SRS) is designed to adaptively adjust the variance ratio of individuals to enhance the accuracy and depth of convergence. The new proposal presented in this study is named RCSSSA. The global optimization capability of the algorithm was tested against various high-performance and novel algorithms at IEEE CEC 2014, and its constrained optimization capability was tested at IEEE CEC 2011. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can converge faster while obtaining better optimization results than traditional swarm intelligence and other improved algorithms. The statistical data in the table support its optimization capabilities, and multiple graphs deepen the understanding and analysis of the proposed algorithm.

deviation of the H+concentration from optimum values within the organelles is closely associated with irregular cellular functions that cause the onset of various ***,determining subcellular pH values in live cells and tissues is valuable for diagnostic *** this study,we report a novel ratiometric fluorescence probe 1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid,4-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-3-(2,4-dihydroxy-3-methylphenyl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylicacid4-(2-benz othiazolyl)-5-(2,4-dihydroxy-3-methylphenyl),to which we will refer as ThiAKS Green(Thiazole AKyol shifting green),that is pH *** results presented here show that the probe can penetrate the celi membrane in iess than 30minutes and does not show any detectable *** measured color shifts up on pH change are linear and most significant around physiological pH(pKa=7.45),thus making this probe suitable for live-cell imaging and intracellular pH *** the long-incubation periods following the application of the probe and the fluorescent microscopy measurements,it shows stable properties and is easy to detect in live *** conclusion,the results suggest that ThiAKS Green can be used to obtain precise information on the H+distribution at various compartments of the live cells.

Astrocytoma IV or glioblastoma is one of the fatal and dangerous types of brain *** detection of brain tumor increases the survival rate and helps in reducing the fatality *** imaging modalities have been used for diagnosing by expert radiologists,and Medical Resonance Image(MRI)is considered a better option for detecting brain tumors as MRI is a non-invasive technique and provides better visualization of the brain *** of the challenging issues is to identify the tumorous region from the MRI scans *** segmentation is performed by medical experts,which is a time-consuming task and got chances of *** overcome this issue,automatic segmentation is performed for quick and accurate *** proposed approach is to capture inter-slice information and reduce the *** learning-based brain tumor segmentation techniques proved best among available segmentation ***,deep learning may miss some preliminary info while using MRI images during *** MRI volumes are volumetric,3d U-Net-based models are used but *** of multiple 2d U-Net predictions in axial,sagittal,and coronal views help to capture inter-slice *** approach may reduce the system ***,the Conditional Random Fields(CRF)reduce the predictions’false positives and improve the segmentation *** model is applied to Brain Tumor Segmentation(BraTS)2019 dataset,and cross-validation is performed to check the accuracy of *** proposed approach achieves dice Similarity Score(dSC)of 0.77 on Enhancing Tumor(ET),0.90 on Whole Tumor(WT),and 0.84 on Tumor Core(TC)with reduced Hausdorff distance(Hd)of 3.05 on ET,5.12 on WT and 3.89 on TC.

The complex beads of carboxymethyl cellulose（CMC） and chitosan（CHI） that are fabricated by interfacial complexation have a core-shell structure composed of a thin skin layer and a 3d entangled internal structure,which endows the beads with adsorption possibilities toward anionic and cationic molecules via electrostatic ***,the loading and releasing behavior of such a system is essential and fundamental for their application yet has not been studied *** this work,the influences of beads physical state,adsorbent dosage,agitation speed,solution pH and temperature on the loading behavior were *** CMC@CHI beads demonstrated different loading efficiency to three typical dyes of methylene blue（MB）,acid blue-113（AB）,and methyl orange（MO） with different charge *** adsorption rate followed an order of MB>AB>MO,giving 97.4%,73.3% and 20.2%,*** releasing of three dyes from CMC@CHI beads also exhibited different rates,and MB release was found to be prolonged compared to AB and *** loading mechanism of dyes was further investigated via X-ray photoelectron *** CMC@CHI beads may have possible applications in mixed dye removal as well as encapsulating systems of drugs or sensitive chemicals with different charges.

Hyperspectral imaging is gaining a significant role in agricultural remote sensing *** data unit is the hyperspectral cube which holds spatial information in two dimensions while spectral band information of each pixel in the third *** classification accuracy of hyperspectral images(HSI)increases significantly by employing both spatial and spectral *** this work,the data was acquired using an airborne hyperspectral imager system which collected HSI in the visible and near-infrared(VNIR)range of 400 to 1000 nm wavelength within 180 spectral *** dataset is collected for nine different crops on agricultural land with a spectral resolution of 3.3 nm wavelength for each *** data was cleaned from geometric distortions and stored with the class labels and annotations of global localization using the inertial navigation *** this study,a unique pixel-based approach was designed to improve the crops'classification accuracy by using the edge-preserving features(EPF)and principal component analysis(PCA)in *** preliminary processing generated the high-dimensional EPF stack by applying the edge-preserving filters on acquired *** the second step,this high dimensional stack was treated with the PCA for dimensionality reduction without losing significant spectral *** resultant feature space(PCA-EPF)demonstrated enhanced class separability for improved crop classification with reduced dimensionality and computational *** support vector machines classifier was employed for multiclass classification of target crops using *** classification performance evaluation was measured in terms of individual class accuracy,overall accuracy,average accuracy,and Cohen kappa *** proposed scheme achieved greater than 90%results for all the performance evaluation *** PCA-EPF proved to be an effective attribute for crop classification using hyperspectral imaging in the VNIR *** proposed scheme

BACKGROUNd Helicobacter pylori(***)infection is a worldwide problem with increasing burden on the health sector due to its increasing rate of *** conventional triple therapy(TT)is becoming obsolete with a high failure rate of eradication,necessitating the need for better alternatives or *** To investigate *** eradication rate of TT vs modified bismuth quadruple *** Ninety-two patients with dyspepsia symptoms and positive ^(13)C-urea breath test were randomly assigned to two *** first group(control group)was treated for 14 d using standard TT protocol:Esomeprazole(40 mg twice daily),amoxicillin(1 g twice daily)and clarithromycin(500 mg twice daily).On the other hand,the second group was prescribed a 10-d course of modified bismuth quadruple therapy fortified with zinc carnosine:TT in addition to bismuth subcitrate(240 mg twice daily)and zinc carnosine(75 mg twice daily).A repeated 13C-urea breath test was done 4 wk after the completion of the eradication *** Among the 92 subjects,67.4%were males and 32.6%were *** were no differences in demographic characteristics(age,body mass index,smoking history,previous antibiotics use and ethnicity)between the modified bismuth quadruple therapy group and TT *** eradication rate was higher[93.5%(43/46)]in the modified bismuth quadruple therapy group compared to 69.6%(32/46)in the standard TT group(P=0.003).Of the tested predictor variables,only nationality,smoking and therapy type were statistically *** dizziness,which was recorded in modified bismuth quadruple therapy group,there were no significant differences in side effects between the two *** Ten days of modified bismuth quadruple therapy fortified with zinc carnosine is superior to 14 d of conventional TT in eradicating *** infection,with no additional significant adverse events.

This research aims to study the impact of yttrium oxide on the radiation protection features of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) for gamma shielding *** yttrium oxide(Y_(2)O_(3)) was instilled through the PVA matrix by different contents(x=0.1 wt%,0,3 wt%,0,7 wt%,0,9 wt%),The morphology of the prepared PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composites was characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The samples were investigated using absorption edge,transmittance spectra and dielectric *** transmittance and the bandgap energy decrease as the Y2O3content increases while there is an increase in ε’ and ε" as well as the ac conductivity with the content increment of Y_(2)O_(3)till 0.7 wt%.The te mperature dependence of the dc conductivity was measured for all samples in the range of 260-460 K,and it increases with the temperature *** correlate the electrical characteristics of the PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composites with their structure and evaluate electrical properties with the help of equivalent circuit matching with the experimentally electrical response in the impedance spectrum,the radiation protection properties were also investigated to get the radiation shielding performance of these PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composite films with varying Y_(2)O(3)*** linear attenuation coefficient(μ),half value layer(T_(0.5)),and mass attenuation coefficient(μm) were *** to all obtained data,PVA/Y_(2)O_(3)composite films with various percentages(0.1 wt%,0.3 wt%,0.7 wt%,0.9 wt%) can be used as a radiation shielding material.

Background:Morphogenesis is a complex process in a developing animal at the organ,cellular and molecular *** this investigation,allometry at the cellular level was ***:Geometric information,including the time-lapse Cartesian coordinates of each cell's center,was used for calculating the allometric coefficients.A zero-centroaxial skew-symmetrical matrix(CSSM),was generated and used for constructing another square matrix(basic square matrix:BSM),then the determinant of BSM was calculated(d).The logarithms of absolute d(Lad)of cell group at different stages of development were plotted for all of the cells in a range of development stages;the slope of the regression line was estimated then used as the allometric ***,the lineage growth rate(LGR)was also calculated by plotting the Lad against the logarithm of the *** complexity index at each stage was *** method was tested on a developing Caenorhabditis elegans ***:We explored two out of the four first generated blastomeres in *** *** ABp and EMS lineages show that the allometric coefficient of ABp was higher than that of EMS,which was consistent with the complexityindexas well ***:The conclusion of this study is that the complexity of the differentiating cells in a developing embryo can be evaluated by allometric scaling based on the data derived from the Cartesian coordinates of the cells at different stages of development.
