Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the highly pathogenic severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),primarily impacts the respiratory tract and can lead to severe outcomes such as acute respiratory distress syndrome,multiple organ failure,and *** extensive studies on the pathogenicity of SARS-CoV-2,its impact on the hepatobiliary system remains *** liver injury is commonly indicated by reduced albumin and elevated bilirubin and transaminase levels,the exact source of this damage is not fully *** mechanisms for injury include direct cytotoxicity,collateral damage from inflammation,drug-induced liver injury,and ischemia/***,evidence often relies on blood tests with liver enzyme *** this comprehensive review,we focused solely on the different histopathological manifestations of liver injury in COVID-19 patients,drawing from liver biopsies,complete autopsies,and in vitro liver *** present evidence of the direct impact of SARS-CoV-2 on the liver,substantiated by in vitro observations of viral entry mechanisms and the actual presence of viral particles in liver samples resulting in a variety of cellular changes,including mitochondrial swelling,endoplasmic reticulum dilatation,and hepatocyte *** ly,we describe the diverse liver pathology observed during COVID-19 infection,encompassing necrosis,steatosis,cholestasis,and lobular *** also discuss the emergence of long-term complications,notably COVID-19-related secondary sclerosing *** the histopathological liver changes occurring during COVID-19 infection is pivotal for improving patient recovery and guiding decision-making.

BACKGROUND Recently,there has been a significant increase in the consumption of ultraprocessed foods ***,the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon cancer remains *** To find out the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon *** A comprehensive systematic literature search of PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Google Scholar for grey literature was done for articles published before 8th March *** search was done to retrieve potential peer-reviewed articles that explored the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon *** Of the 246 potential articles assessed,17 met the inclusion ***-analysis results demonstrated that high consumption of ultra-processed food is associated with an increased risk of obesity[odds ratio(OR):1.65;95%CI:1.07-2.45;P0.05).CONCLUSION Consuming ultra-processed foods increases the risk of obesity and colon cancer.

One-Dimensionality, Reliability, Distribution, and Correlates of the Brief Interactive Optimism Scale among University Teachers

The Brief Interactive Optimism Scale (BIOS-G), recently published, was developed to measure optimism based on the interactive personality styles theory in the general population of Mexican adults. It has been validated in both the general population in Mexico and other Latin American countries. This study aims to further consolidate the validity of the BIOS-G in a specific population. The objectives are to assess the psychometric properties of its items, validate its unidimensional structure, describe its distribution, verify its internal consistency, and examine its direct relationship with affective balance and positive affect, as well as its inverse relationship with emotional exhaustion and negative affect among Mexican university teachers. The BIOS-G, the CESQT emotional exhaustion subscale, and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) were administered to a non-probability sample of 213 Mexican university teachers. All items demonstrated discriminative power and internal consistency. The scale showed internal consistency (Green-Yang ordinal ω = 0.74 and McDonald ordinal ω = 0.88). The one-factor model presented good to acceptable fit to the data, with an average variance extracted of 0.65. Its distribution was negatively skewed and mesokurtic. The BIOS-G correlated directly with SPANE’s affective balance and positive emotional experiences and inversely with negative emotional experiences and emotional exhaustion, with moderate strengths of association. Its mean score was higher in men than in women and correlated positively with age. It is concluded that the BIOS-G demonstrates internal consistency and validity evidence among Mexican university teachers, and its use in this specific population is recommended.

Numerical analysis of anisotropic stiffness and strength for geomaterials

Effectiveness of statins *** on reducing postprandial hypertriglyceridemia in dyslipidemic population:A systematic review and network meta-analysis

Background:Individuals at risk of suffering cardiovascular disease(CVD) present with larger increases in blood trigyceride(TG) concentration after a high-fat meal than do healthy *** postprandial hypertriglyceride levels are an independent risk factor for *** of statins and a bout of prolonged exercise are both effective in lowering postprandial hypertriglyceride *** aimed to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of statins vs.a bout of aerobic exercise in reducing fasting and postprandial TG(PPTG) concentrations in indiv、duals at high nsk of developing ***:Thirty-seven sltudies from a systematic literature search of the PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane databases were included in this *** selected studies conducted trials involving statin therapy(n=20) or a bout of aerobic exercise(n=19) and measured their impact on PPTG levels as the *** studies analyzed both treatments and were included in *** meta-analysis was constructed using a random-effects model to calculate the mean difference(MD).The Student t test was used to compare the data sets for statins ***:Overall,statin and exercise interventions showed similar reductions in PPTG levels,with an MD of-0.65 mmol/L for statins(95% confidence interval(95%CI):-0.54 to-0.77;p <0.001) and-0.46 mmol/L for exercise(95%CI:-0.21 to-0.71;p <0.01).However,statins lowered fasting TG levels more than exercise(MD=-1.54 mmol/L,95%CI:-2.25 to-0.83;p=0.009).Conclusion:Although aerobic exercise is effective in lowering blood TG levels,statins seem to be more efficient,especially in the fasted state.A combination of exercise and statins might reveal a valuable approach to the treatment and prevention of *** studies are required to determine the underlying mechanisms and the possible additive effects of these interventions.

An innovative heterogeneous transfer learning framework to enhance the scalability of deep reinforcement learning controllers in buildings with integrated energy systems

A dark vector resonance at CLIC

One of the main problems in particle physics is to understand the origin and nature of dark matter. An exciting possibility is to consider that dark matter belongs to a new complex but hidden sector. In this paper, we assume the existence of a strongly interacting dark sector consisting of a new scalar doublet and new vector resonances,in accordance with the model recently proposed by our group. Since it was found in the previous work that it is very challenging to find the new vector resonances at the LHC, here we study the possibility of finding them at the future Compact Linear Collider(CLIC) running at■= 3 TeV. We consider two distinct scenarios. In the first, when the non-standard scalars are heavy, the dark resonance is intense enough to make its discovery possible at CLIC when the resonance mass is in the range [2000, 3000] GeV. In the second scenario, when the non-standard scalars are light, the new vector boson is too broad to be recognized as a resonance, and is not detectable except when the mass of the scalars is close to(but smaller than) half of the resonance mass and the scale of the dark sector is high. In all positive cases, less than a tenth of the maximum integrated luminosity is needed to reach the discovery level. Finally, we also comment on the mono-Z production.
