Colorectal cancer(CRC)represents a molecularly heterogeneous disease and one of the most frequent causes of cancer-related death *** traditional classification of CRC is based on pathomorphological and molecular character-istics of tumor cells(mucinous,ring-cell carcinomas,etc.),analysis of mechanisms of carcinogenesis involved(chromosomal instability,microsatellite instability,CpG island methylator phenotype)and mutational statuses of commonly altered genes(KRAS,NRAS,BRAF,APC,etc.),as well as expression signatures(CMS 1-4).It is also suggested that the tumor microenvironment is a key player in tumor progression and metastasis in *** to the latest data,the immune microenvironment can also be predictive of the response to immune checkpoint *** this review,we highlight how the immune environment influences CRC prognosis and sensitivity to systemic therapy.

Degenerative diseases significantly reduce the quality of human ***-invasive treatments are used in the initial stages of osteoarthritis(OA).Total knee arthroplasty is used in the late stages of osteoarthritis of the knee ***-invasive methods based on mechanical action are also used for the rehabilitation of a patient after *** paper presents numerical models of the knee joint with degenerative OA changes and *** these models,a computational study was made of the influence of the intensity of shock-wave exposure on the conditioning for the regeneration of bone and cartilage *** on the modeling results,it was found that in the knee joint with degenerative OA changes,conditions for the regeneration of cartilage and meniscus tissues were fulfilled under medium and highintensity *** high-intensity loading(up to 0.9 m J/mm^(2)),the stress level was significantly below the ultimate value required for *** knee arthroplasty,the conditions for bone tissue regeneration around the tibia component are fulfilled only under high-intensity loading.

Multiple-rock magnetic investigations conducted on the loess-paleosol sequences at Kurtak in Southwestern Siberia reveal that the mass-normalized low-field magnetic susceptibility profiles reflect changes in lithology between relatively unweathered primary loess of glacial periods and the interglacial paleosols. Maxima in susceptibility values correspond with the least-weathered loess horizons, and minima with the humic horizons of soils. Frequency-dependent susceptibility of the loess-paleosol sequences at Kurtak is very low and practically uniform, indicating the dominance of non-SP ferrimagnetic minerals and negligible pedogenesis. The history of temperature-dependence of susceptibility (IDS) and stepwise acquisition of the isothermal remanent magnetization (SIRM) have confirmed that magnetite is predominant magnetic mineral, and only few maghemite and probably hematite are present within the studied section. We have studied the effect of the engineered nanomaterial Taunit, containing multiwalled carbon nano- tubes （MWCNTs）, on the growth of Onobrychis arenaria seedlings and investigated whether affected plants uptake and accumulate MWCNTs. We found that 100 gg/mL and 1000 lag/mL of Taunit stimulated the growth of roots and stems, and enhanced the peroxidase activity in these parts of plants. Microscopy studies showed the presence of MWCNTs in the root and leaf tissues of seedlings exposed to Taunit, suggesting that MWCNTs have a capacity to penetrate the cell walls, accumulate in roots and translocate to the leaves. Thus the stimulating effect of MWCNTs on seedlings of O. arenaria may be associated with the primary uptake and accumulation of MWCNTs by plant roots followed by translocation to the other plant tissues.

Nanocomposites （NCs） consisting of a gold nanorod core and a mesoporous silica shell doped with hematoporphyrin （HP） have been fabricated in order to improve the efficiency of cancer treatment by combining photothermal and photodynamic therapies （PDT ＋ PTT） in vivo. In addition to the long-wavelength plasmon resonance near 810-830 nm, the fabricated NCs exhibited a 400-nm absorbance peak corresponding to bound HP, generated singlet oxygen under 633-nm excitation near the 632.5-nm Q-band, and produced heat under a 808-nm near-infrared （NIR） laser irradiation. These modalities were used for a combined PDT ＋ PTT treatment of large （about 3 cm3） solid tumors in vivo with a xenorafted tumor rat model. NCs were directly injected into tumors and irradiated simultaneously with 633-nm and 808-nm lasers to stimulate the combined photodynamic and photothermal activities of NCs. The efficiency of the combined therapy was evaluated by optical coherence tomography, histological analysis, and by measurements of the tumor volume growth during a 21-day period. The NC-mediated PDT led to weak changes in tissue histology and to a moderate 20% decrease in the tumor volume. In contrast, the combined PDT ＋ PTT treatment resulted in the large-area tumor necrosis and led to dramatic decrease in the tumor volume.

The electroencephalographic research has focused on the variety of responses to emotional auditory stimulation in patients at different stages after craniocerebral trauma. The patients sampling consisted of three groups: 13 comatose patients, 14 severe TBI patients, 12 moderate TBI patients, the control group consisting of the 28 healthy adults. The subjects were stimulated with auditory stimuli containing significant sounds (coughing, laughing, crying, bird singing, barking, scraping) and control sounds (white noise). We have analyzed statistically significant differences of power of the rhythmic activity registered during the presentation of different types of stimuli using Matlab. The t-test differences for each type of stimuli and the background were calculated as well as major ANOvA-effects. The results showed that EEG-response was based on the emotional stimuli valence, the consciousness levels, the severity of injury and the recovery process. The TBI patients showed lower theta-rhythm power in the frontal areas in response to the all emotional stimuli. The alpha-activity was reduced in the TBI patients: the alpha-rhythm depression was most vividly pronounced in the control group. The alpha-rhythm acceleration in the occipital areas was found only in the moderate TBI patients and only to the emotional stimuli. The severe TBI and comatose patients showed lower response rates to the neutral stimuli and higher response rates to the unpleasant physiological stimuli.

The aim of the present study was to determine the MICs using broth microdilution method and their combination effect by （minimum inhibitory concentrations） of selected antibiotic agents determination of FICindex （fractional inhibitory concentrations）. Lysozyme Anodonta cygnea was more active than Lysozyme Uniopictorum, especially against Gram-negative bacterias. Combination of Macropen and Lysozyme Unio pictorum has a synergistic effect, while a separation of these antibacterial agents was not active against some of the strains of microorganisms.

vascular endothelial growth factor(vEGF) and fibroblast growth factor 2(FGF2) are well-known growth factors involved in the regeneration of various tissues and organs, including peripheral nerve system. In the present study, we elucidated the local and systemic effects of plasmid construct рBud-covEGF165-coFGF2 injected into the epineurium of intact rat sciatic nerve. Results of histological examination of sciatic nerve and multiplex immunoassays of serum showed the absence of immunogenicity and biosafety of plasmid рBud-covEGF165-coFGF2. Moreover, local administration of plasmid DNA construct resulted in significantly decreased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the peripheral blood, including tumor necrosis factor α(TNFα) and interleukin-12, and significantly increased levels of cytokines and chemokines including Regulated upon Activation, Normal T Cell Expressed and Presumably Secrete(RANTES), epidermal growth factor, interleukin-2, and monocyte chemoattractant protein 1. These changes in the peripheral blood on day 7 after injection of plasmid construct рBud-covEGF165-coFGF2 show that the plasmid construct has systemic effects and may modulate immune response. At the same time, reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction revealed transient expression of coFGF2, covEGF165, ratFGF2 and ratvEGFA with direct transport of transcripts from distal part to proximal part of the sciatic nerve. Immunohistochemical staining revealed prolonged presence of vEGFA in sciatic nerve till 14 days post-injection. These findings suggest that local administration of plasmid construct рBud-covEGF165-coFGF2 at a concentration of 30 ng/μL results in the formation of pro-angiogenic stimuli and, and the plasmid construct, used as a drug for gene therapy, might potentially facilitate regeneration of the sciatic nerve. Occurrence of citrinin and ochratoxin A in different feed ingredients and compound feeds was screened by accredited methods based on the indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. High frequency co-occurrence of both toxins was found in wheat grain and processed sunflower seeds. Citrinin levels exceeded those of ochratoxin A in the majority of co-contaminated feed samples, and the ratio of (1.1 - 10):1 proved to be the most frequent. A possible role of Aspergillus and Penicillium fungi in separate and simultaneous OTA and CIT occurrence in feeds is also discussed.
