Enhancing production m.nitoring: A back allocation m.thodology to estim.te well flow rates and assist well test scheduling

Production flow rates are crucial to m.ke operational decisions, m.nitor, m.nage, and optim.ze oil and gas fields. Flow rates also have a financial im.ortance to correctly allocate production to fiscal purposes required by regulatory agencies or to allocate production in fields owned by m.ltiple operators. Despite its significance, usually only the total field production is m.asured in real tim., which requires an alternative way to estim.te wells' production. To address these challenges, this work presents a back allocation m.thodology that leverages real-tim. instrum.ntation, sim.lations, algorithm., and m.them.tical program.ing m.deling to enhance well m.nitoring and assist in well test scheduling. The m.thodology com.rises four m.dules: sim.lation, classification, error calculation, and optim.zation. These m.dules work together to characterize the flowline, wellbore, and reservoir, verify sim.lation outputs, m.nim.ze errors, and calculate flow rates while honoring the total platform.flow rate. The well status generated through the classification m.dule provides valuable inform.tion about the current condition of each well (i.e. if the well is deviating from.the latest well test param.ters), aiding in decision-m.king for well testing scheduling and prioritizing. The effectiveness of the m.thodology is dem.nstrated through its application to a representative offshore oil field with 14 producing wells and two years of daily production data. The results highlight the robustness of the m.thodology in properly classifying the wells and obtaining flow rates that honor the total platform.flow rate. Furtherm.re, the m.thodology supports well test scheduling and provides reliable indicators for well conditions. Disjoint sam.ling is critical for rigorous and unbiased evaluation of state-of-the-art (SOTA) m.dels e.g., Attention graph and Vision Transform.r. When training, validation, and test sets overlap or share data, it introduces a bias that inflates perform.nce m.trics and prevents accurate assessm.nt of a m.del’s true ability to generalize to new exam.les. This paper presents an innovative disjoint sam.ling approach for training SOTA m.dels for the Hyperspectral Im.ge Classification (HSIC). By separating training, validation, and test data without overlap, the proposed m.thod facilitates a fairer evaluation of how well a m.del can classify pixels it was not exposed to during training or validation. Experim.nts dem.nstrate the approach significantly im.roves a m.del’s generalization com.ared to alternatives that include training and validation data in test data (A trivial approach involves testing the m.del on the entire Hyperspectral dataset to generate the ground truth m.ps. This approach produces higher accuracy but ultim.tely results in low generalization perform.nce). Disjoint sam.ling elim.nates data leakage between sets and provides reliable m.trics for benchm.rking progress in HSIC. Disjoint sam.ling is critical for advancing SOTA m.dels and their real-world application to large-scale land m.pping with Hyperspectral sensors. Overall, with the disjoint test set, the perform.nce of the deep m.dels achieves 96.36% accuracy on Indian Pines data, 99.73% on Pavia University data, 98.29% on University of Houston data, 99.43% on Botswana data, and 99.88% on Salinas data. © 2024 The Authors.

The paper presents the results of the sterlet sturgeon Acipenser ruthenus reintroduction into the Kam. Reservoir(Perm.Krai,Russia)by sterlet fry from.hatcheries into the reservoir since *** effectiveness of hatchery releases was evaluated by m.nitoring gillnet sam.ling *** results showed that the species was reported throughout entire Kam. Reservoir,which contrasts with 1988-1994 data,when the species was registered only at the upper part of the reservoir near the Kam. River *** highest num.er and biom.ss values of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of the sterlet were found in subm.rged river channels-the deepest habitats with flow conditions which are close to the ecological requirem.nts of the *** distribution of the sterlet within the channel biotopes of the reservoir is defined by reduced *** biggest individuals and the widest size range of the sterlet were typical for the upper area of the reservoir and Chusovskoy Bay,which have the greatest *** sm.llest sizes were typical for fish from.catches near the dam.of the reservoir,which is consistent with the published data on the distribution of sterlet in reservoir *** presented results m.y indicate the artificial form.tion of the sterlet stock in the Kam.
