International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center （CIMMYT） and Kazakhstan collaborative activities on wheat improvement are focused in the following main areas：（1） wheat germplasm enhancement： Kazakhstan-Siberian Network on Wheat Improvement （KASIB） and Shuttle Breeding ＂Mexico-KASIB＂ Programs; （2） Conservation agriculture （CA） for wheat production and crop diversification. Nineteen breeding programs of Kazakhstan and Russia are united by KASIB Network and Shuttle Breeding. By 2014, more than 15,000 wheat lines and varieties were involved in breeding programs of Kazakhstan and Russia; 10 varieties were developed and released. The KASIB Network and Shuttle Breeding Program were recognized as one of the best example of the effective regional and international cooperation in Kazakhstan and Russia. In the beginning of 2000 CIMMYT, National Agricultural Research System, the Ministry of Agriculture, FAO, World Bank in cooperation with farmers initiated large-scale activities based on CA in Kazakhstan. Due the joint efforts, area under CA-based practices has been increasing from virtually none to an estimated area of 500,000 ha in 2007, 1,200,000 ha in 2008, 2,000,000 ha in 2014 with continued rapid increases in area. Kazakhstan is now included among the top ten countries with the largest areas under no-tillage in the world.

Antiproton-induced reactions on nuclei at the beam energies from hundreds Me V up to several Ge V provide an excellent opportunity to study interactions between the antiproton and secondary particles(mesons, baryons and antibaryons) with nucleons. The antiproton projectile is unique in the sense that most of the annihilation particles are relatively slow in the target nucleus frame. Hence, the prehadronic effects do not much influence their interactions with the nucleons of the nuclear residue. Moreover, the particles with momenta less than about 1 Ge V/c are sensitive to nuclear mean field potentials. This paper discusses the microscopic transport calculations of the antiproton-nucleus reactions and is focused on three related problems:(i) antiproton potential determination,(ii) possible formation of strongly bound antiproton-nucleus systems, and(iii) strangeness production.

Neuroglial cells are homeostatic neural cells. Generally, they are electrically non-excitable and their activation is associated with the generation of complex intracellular Ca^2＋ signals that define the ＂Ca^2＋ excitability＂ of glia. In mammalian glial cells the major source of Ca^2＋ for this excitability is the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum （ER）, which is ultimately （re）filled from the extracellular space. This occurs via store-operated Ca^2＋ entry （SOCE） which is supported by a specific signaling system connecting the ER with plasmalemmal Ca^2＋ entry. Here, emptying of the ER Ca^2＋ store is necessary and sufficient for the activation of SOCE, and without Ca^2＋ influx via SOCE the ER store cannot be refilled. The molecular arrangements underlying SOCE are relatively complex and include plasmalemmal channels, ER Ca^2＋ sensors, such as stromal interaction molecule, and possibly ER Ca^2＋ pumps （of the SERCA type）. There are at least two sets of plasmalemmal channels mediating SOCE, the Ca2＊-release activated channels, Orai, and transient receptor potential （TRP） channels. The molecular identity of neuroglial SOCE has not been yet identified unequivocally. However, it seems that Orai is predominantly expressed in microglia, whereas astrocytes and oligodendrocytes rely more on TRP channels to produce SOCE. In physiological conditions the SOCE pathway is instrumental for the sustained phase of the Ca^2＋ signal observed following stimulation of metabotropic receptors on glial cells.

In this paper,we study a lattice Boltzmann method for the advectiondiffusion equation with Neumann boundary conditions on general boundaries.A novel mass conservative scheme is introduced for implementing such boundary conditions,and is analyzed both theoretically and *** order convergence is predicted by the theoretical analysis,and numerical investigations show that the convergence is at or close to the predicted *** numerical investigations include time-dependent problems and a steady-state diffusion problem for computation of effective diffusion coefficients.

BACKGROUND: To promote potentially life-saving bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), the proportion of CPR-trained general public and their attitude toward CPR should be assessed, which is yet to be done in the former Soviet Union countries. As a case study, the survey is aimed to investigate the prevalence of CPR training, CPR knowledge, attitude and willingness to attend training and attempt CPR in the general population of the ***: A personal interview survey was done from November 2017 to January 2018 with quota sampling refl ecting age, gender and territorial distribution of the Crimean ***: Out of 384 persons surveyed, 53% were trained in CPR. Of trained, 24% passed training within the last year, 44% attended a single course. Among the non-trained, 51% never thought about the need to attend training. Knowledge of CPR is generally poor. About 52% wish to learn CPR, 79% and 91% are willing to attempt CPR on a stranger or a loved one, respectively. Lack of knowledge is the strongest barrier to attempt CPR. People aged ≥60, those with educational level lower than high school, widowed and retired are mostly untrained and unwilling to learn CPR. Females and unemployed are mostly untrained, but willing to be ***: There is a need for increasing CPR training and retraining, and improving awareness and motivation to learn CPR in the Crimean population, targeting the least trained groups. The results could be used as a reference point for future studies in the former USSR countries, utilising the same methodology.
