We demonstrate digital plasmonic holography for direct in-plane imaging with propagating surface-plasmon waves.Imaging with surface plasmons suffers from the lack of simple in-plane lenses and mirrors.Lens-less digital holography techniques,however,rely on digitally decoding an interference pattern between a reference wave and an object wave.With far-field diffractive optics,this decoding scheme provides a full recording,i.e.,a hologram,of the amplitude and phase of the object wave,giving three-dimensional information from a two-dimensional recording.For plasmonics,only a one-dimensional recording is needed,and both the phase and amplitude of the propagating plasmons can be extracted for high-resolution in-plane imaging.Here,we demonstrate lens-less,point-source digital plasmonic holography using two methods to record the plasmonic holograms:a dual-probe near-field scanning optical microscope and lithographically defined circular fluorescent screens.The point-source geometry gives in-plane magnification,allowing for high-resolution imaging with relatively lower-resolution microscope objectives.These results pave the way for a new form of in-plane plasmonic imaging,gathering the full complex wave,without the need for plasmonic mirrors or lenses.

By embedding the Standard Model effective field theory(SMEFT) in the more general Higgs effective field theory(HEFT), we expose correlations among the coefficients of the latter that, if found to be violated in future data, would lead to the experimental falsification of the SMEFT framework. These are derived from the necessary symmetric point of HEFT and analyticity of the SMEFT Lagrangian that allows the construction of the SMEFT expansion, as laid out by other groups, and properties at that point of the Higgs-flare function F(h) coupling goldstone and Higgs bosons, of the Higgs potential V(h) and of the Higgs-top quark coupling function g(h).

The first case of Prinzmetal angina was described in 1959 by Prinzmetal, et al. Since this description, several triggering factors have been associated with vasospastic angina (VA) and included: illicit drugs such as cocaine, amphetamine or marijuana, but also bitter-orange, alcohol, butane, chemotherapy drugs, over-the-counter medication and different antibiotics. Smoking is also a major risk factor for developing VA. Thus, except for smoking, many of conventional atherosclerosis risk factors do not appear to be applicable to VA. However, vasospastic angina can also occur without any triggering factor.

Turkey wattle is a by-product generated during slaughter,which has a large amount of connective tissue and is a potential source of glycosaminoglycans(gAgs).This study aimed to extract gAgs from the turkey wattle(Meleagris gallopavos)and investigate its anticoagulant activity,and its cytotoxic and antiproliferative activity in tumor cells.Chondroitin sulfate(CS-4 and CS-6)and dermatan sulfate(DS)present in the F-VII fraction and hyaluronic acid(HA)in the F-V fraction were identified.The HA showed a high molecular weight(1.0×10^(6) Da)and an apparent cytotoxic/antiproliferative effect against human hepatoma cells.F-VII fraction has an apparent cytotoxic/antiproliferative effect against renal adenoma cells and anticoagulant potential in vitro.The results achieved in this study demonstrated that wattle,a by-product of turkey industrialization,has the potential to be valued as a raw material for the extraction of gAgs with bioactive properties.

BACKgROUND The literature indicates that the enteric nervous system is affected in inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs)and that the P2X7 receptor triggers neuronal death.However,the mechanism by which enteric neurons are lost in IBDs is unknown.AIM To study the role of the caspase-3 and nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)pathways in myenteric neurons in a P2X7 receptor knockout(KO)mouse model of IBDs.METHODS Forty male wild-type(WT)C57BL/6 and P2X7 receptor KO mice were euthanized 24 h or 4 d after colitis induction by 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(colitis group).Mice in the sham groups were injected with vehicle.The mice were divided into eight groups(n=5):The WT sham 24 h and 4 d groups,the WT colitis 24 h and 4 d groups,the KO sham 24 h and 4 d groups,and the KO colitis 24 h and 4 d groups.The disease activity index(DAI)was analyzed,the distal colon was collected for immunohistochemistry analyses,and immunofluorescence was performed to identify neurons immunoreactive(ir)for calretinin,P2X7 receptor,cleaved caspase-3,total caspase-3,phospho-NF-κB,and total NF-κB.We analyzed the number of calretinin-ir and P2X7 receptor-ir neurons per ganglion,the neuronal profile area(μm^(2)),and corrected total cell fluorescence(CTCF).RESULTS Cells double labeled for calretinin and P2X7 receptor,cleaved caspase-3,total caspase-3,phospho-NF-κB,or total NF-κB were observed in the WT colitis 24 h and 4 d groups.The number of calretinin-ir neurons per ganglion was decreased in the WT colitis 24 h and 4 d groups compared to the WT sham 24 h and 4 d groups,respectively(2.10±0.13 vs 3.33±0.17,Pgnificantly different between the KO groups.The calretinin-ir neuronal profile area was increased in the WT colitis 24 h group compared to the WT sham 24 h group(312.60±7.85 vs 278.41±6.65,Pgroup compared to the WT sham 4 d group(104.63±2.49 vs 117.41±1.14,Pganglion was decrea

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented severe challenges to global supply chains and has triggered discussion about supply chain resilience(SCR).In the post-pandemic era,although residents’consumption has rebounded under the stimulation of the government’s financial policies and the disruption of the supply chain has been alleviated,firms still face great challenges of restarting their supply chains.On the one hand,the global supply chain is still fragile.The outbreak of the epidemic may continue,and the risk of supply chain disruption cannot be ignored.On the other hand,the manufacturer’s production cost is further increased due to the substantial increase in international raw material prices,labor costs and transportation costs,and the production cycle is further prolonged.Therefore,SCR in the post-epidemic era is subject to multiple challenges from the external environment,as well as both supply and demand sides.

In catalysis processes, activated carbon （AC） and metal oxides （MOs） are widely used either as catalysts or as catalyst supports because of their unique properties. A combination of AC and MO nanoparticles in a single hybrid material usually entails both chemical and microstructural changes, which may largely influence the potential catalytic suitability and performance of the resulting product. Here, the prepa- ration of a wide series of AC-MO hybrid catalysts is studied. Three series of such catalysts are prepared by support first of MO （Al2O3, Fe2O3, SnO2, TiO2, WO3, and ZnO） precursors on a granular AC by wet impregnation and oven-drying at 120 ℃, and by subsequent heat treatment at 200 or 850℃ in inert atmosphere. Both the chemical composition and microstructure are mainly investigated by powder X-ray diffraction. Yield and ash content are often strongly dependent on the MO precursor and heat treatment temperature, in particular for the Sn catalysts. With the temperature rise, trends are towards the transformation of metal hydroxides into metal oxides, crystallinity improvement, and occurrence of drastic composition changes, ultimately leading to the formation of metals in elemental state and even metal carbides. Reaction paths during the preparation are explored for various hybrid catalysts and new insights into them are provided.
