Arthropodan syuinclusions in the Late Eocene Rovno amber were examined using x^2 to reveal correlation of the component groups （some taxa of Diptera, ants, aphids, and mites） supposedly indicative of the biocoenotic relationships in the ancient amber forest. Three tightly correlated groups were identified, representing a putative aerial plankton guild （Chironomidae ＋ Ceratopogonidae） and two tree-trunk guilds, one of which （Dolichopodidae ＋ Germaraphis） is possibly connected to more open or/and more hygrophilous habitats than the other （Sciara zone Diptera ＋＂Acarus＂ rhombeus）. The ants were not linked with any of the above components.

The classification and phylogeny of the basal Vespina （= Orussoidea ＋ Apocrita） are reconsidered based primarily on rich and well preserved material from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou in Inner Mongolia, China. Comparatively smooth morphological transitions are traced from a Xiphydriidae-like ancestor toward Orussoidea via the Jurassic family Karatavitidae, and through Karatavitidae and the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous family Ephialtitidae independently to Stephanidae, to Evanioidea, and, via the extinct Jurassic Kuafuidae fam. nov. to the remaining Apocrita. New hypothesis is proposed concerning development of the characteristic wasp-waist of Apocrita, which is supposed to appear independently and in different ways in Evanioidea and in the rest of Apocrita. As a result, six infraorders are proposed for the suborder Vespina with the following taxonomic structure： infraorder Orussomorpha including the only superfamily Orussoidea （Karatavitidae ＋ paroryssidae ＋ Orussidae）, infraorder Stephanomorpha with the only superfamily Stephanoidea （Ephialtitidae ＋ Stephanidae）, infraorder Evaniomorpha with the only superfamily Evanioidea of traditional composition, infraorder Ceraphronomorpha with the superfamih＇es Ceraphronoidea s. str. and monotypical Megalyroidea and Trigonaloidea, and the infraorders proctotrupomorpha, Ichneumonomorpha, and Vespomorpha of traditional composition. The family Kuafuidae is unplaced to infraorder because it is putatively paraphyletic with respect to Ceraphronomorpha, proctotrupomorpha, Ichneumonomorpha and Vespomorpha. Described as new are Karatavites junfengi sp. nov, praeratavites wuhuaensis sp. nov., p. perspicuus sp. nov, postxiphydria daohugouensis gen. et sp. nov., p. ningchengensis gen. et sp. nov., postxiphydroides strenuus gen. et sp. nov., praeratavitoides amabilis gen. et sp. nov., proapocritus densipediculus sp. nov., p. sculptus sp. nov., p. longantennatus sp. nov., p. formosus sp. nov., p. atropus sp. nov., p. elegans sp. nov., S

Modern trends in beam-driven radiation sources include the interaction of Cherenkov wakefields in open-ended circular waveguides with complicated dielectric linings, with a three-layer dielectric capillary recently proposed to reduce radiation divergence being a representative example [Opt. Lett. 45 5416(2020)]. We present a rigorous approach that allows for an analytical description of the electromagnetic processes that occur when the structure is excited by a single waveguide TM mode. In other words, the corresponding canonical waveguide diffraction problem is solved in a rigorous formulation. This is a continuation of our previous papers which considered simpler cases with a homogeneous or two-layer dielectric filling. Here we use the same analytical approach based on the Wiener–Hopf–Fock technique and deal with the more complicated case of a three-layer dielectric lining. Using the obtained rigorous solution, we discuss the possibility of manipulating the far-field radiation pattern using a third layer made of a low permittivity material.

Tunnels are now an integral part of the infrastructure in major cities around the world. For many reasons, these tunnels have horseshoe-shaped cross-sections with round top and flat bottom. This paper presents some improvements to the use of the Hyperstatic Reaction Method-HRM for analysing tunnels with horseshoe-shaped cross-sections when these tunnels operate under the influence of earthquakes, particularly in cases when the tunnel lining is a continuous lining. The analysis used parameters of a tunnel from the Hanoi metro system, as well as parameters of the strongest earthquake that may occur in the central Hanoi area in the improved HRM and 2 D numerical methods using the ABAQUS software. On the basis of the results obtained, the paper gives conclusions about the HRM methodology when it is used to calculate tunnels that have horseshoe cross-sections operating under the influence of earthquakes.

This article presents a synopsis of the current data on the mechanisms of blood-brain barrier (BBB) alteration and autoimmune response in acute ischemic stroke. Most researchers confirm the relationship between the severity of immunobiochemical changes and clinical outcome of acute ischemic stroke. Ischemic stroke is accompanied by aseptic inflammation, which alters the brain tissue and exposes the co-stimulatory molecules of the immune system and the neuronal antigens. To date, BBB is not considered the border between the immune system and central nervous system, and the local immune subsystems are found within and behind the BBB. BBB disruption contributes to the leakage of brain autoantigens and induction of secondary autoimmune response to neuronal antigens and long-term inflammation. Glymphatic system function is altered and jeopardized both in hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke types. The receptors of innate immunity (toll-like receptor-2 and toll-like receptor-4) are also involved in acute ischemia-reperfusion injury. Immune response is related to the key processes of blood clotting and fibrinolysis. At the same time, the stroke-induced immune activation may promote reparation phenomena in the brain. Subsequent research on the reduction of the acute ischemic brain injury through the target regulation of the immune response is promising.

Optical characteristics of UV-VUV lamps on the electronic-vibrational transitions of the hydroxyl radical pumped by a nanosecond capacitive discharge

This paper presents the results of a study of UV and VUV low-pressure lamp pumped by nanosecond capacitive *** lamp works on the mixtures of helium and argon with water vapor(H_(2)O)or‘heavy’water(D_(2)O).At the capacitive low-pressure lamp emission spectra are mainly narrow band 308 nm OH(A-X)and large band in the VUV spectral range:140-200 nm OH(C,B,A).Found,that the increasing the partial pressure of H_(2)O and D_(2)O(>130-150 pa)led to a decrease in the intensity of VUV radiation of hydroxyl *** the transition from He/H_(2)O mixture to He/D_(2)O mixture,the optimal pressure of helium is *** partial pressure of argon led to increased intensity of radiation of hydroxyl in the VUV *** study of emission characteristics of OD^(*)-lamps on a mixture of He/D_(2)O and the OH^(*)-lamps on a mixture of He/H_(2)O showed that the intensity of the bands OD(X,C,A)is 1.5 times larger than the intensity of the bands OH(X,C,A).The maximum absolute intensity of UV-VUV radiation of the lamp(at a frequency of 1000 Hz)reached 1 W.

Impact of air drought on photosynthesis efficiency of the Siberian crabapple(Malus baccata L. Borkh.) in the forest-steppe zone of Transbaikalia, Russia

The adaption of photosynthesis, being a key metabolic process, plays an important role in plant resistance to air drought. In this study, the Siberian crabapple(Malus baccata L. Borkh.) in the forest-steppe zone of Transbaikalia region, Russia, was subjected to air drought stress and its photosynthesis characteristics were analyzed. The results show that air drought and sufficient soil moisture supply lead to the decrease in the total chlorophyll(Chl) content, while the ratio of Chls to carotenoids is constant in the Siberian crabapple tree. The function of photosystem II(pS-II) in the crabapple trees is characterized by a decrease in the fraction of absorbed light energy spent on the photochemical work and an increase in the proportion of non-photosynthetic thermal quenching. These changes indicate the photosynthetic down-regulation that acts as a universal photoprotective mechanism. During the midday hours, the combination of high air temperature and low air humidity leads to the decrease in the maximum photochemical quantum yield of photosystem II(Fv/Fm) and the efficiency of photosynthesis(pABS). The parameters of leaf gas exchange show the significant differences in these values between the control and experimental variants. During the morning hours, the Siberian crabapple, growing in the Irkutsk City,assimilates carbon dioxide more intensively. Due to the higher air humidity, the stomata are kept open and the necessary amount of carbon dioxide entries the sites of carboxylation. The low air humidity combined with wind in the experimental variants leads to the unreasonably high water loss in the crabapple leaves by more than 27% as compared to the control variant(Irkutsk City). However, water use efficiency in the morning hours increases during plant photosynthetic processes, i.e., 42% higher than that of control. This,apparently, is a reflection of the adaptation processes of the Siberian crabapple to the air drought and parching wind.
