This.s.udy as.es.ed the effect of patch s.arification and mounding on the phys.cal properties.of the root layer and the s.cces. of tree planting in various.types.of *** s.udy was.conducted on 12 fores. s.tes.in taiga fores.s.of the European part of Rus.ia.A total of 54 plots.were s.t up to as.es. s.edling s.rvival;root collar diameter,height,and heigh increment were meas.red for 240 s.edlings.to as.es. *** the rooting layer,240 s.il s.mples.were taken to determine phys.cal *** s.udy s.owed that s.il treatment methods.had no effect on bulk dens.ty and total poros.ty in Cladina ***,reduced s.il mois.ure was.noted,particularly in mounds.res.lting in increas.d *** Myrtillus.s.tes.there were increas.d bulk dens.ty,reduced s.il mois.ure,and total poros.ty in the *** treatment in Polytrichum s.tes.res.lted in reduced s.il mois.ure and increas.d aeration *** the Myrtillus.and Polytrichum s.tes.patch s.arification had no effects.on phys.cal *** Polytrichum s.tes.s.rvival rates.heights.and heigh increments.of bareroot Norway s.ruce s.edlings.in mounds.were higher than in patches.however,the s.me did not apply to *** Cladina and Myrtillus.s.tes.there was.no difference in growth for bareroot and containeris.d s.edlings.with different s.il *** conditions.and s.il types.s.ould be cons.dered when applying different s.il treatment methods.to ens.re high s.rvival rates.and s.cces.ful s.edling growth.

Us.ng the data on magnetic field maps.and continuum intens.ty for s.lar Cycles.23 and 24,we explored 100 active regions.ARs.that produced M5.0 or s.ronger *** focus.on the pres.nce/abs.nce of the emergence of magnetic flux in thes. ARs.2-3 days.before the s.rong flare *** found that 29 ARs.in the s.mple emerged monotonically amids. quiet-s.n.A major emergence of a new magnetic flux within a pre-exis.ing AR yielding the formation of a complex flare-productive configuration was.obs.rved in another 24 *** 30 ARs.an ins.gnificant(in terms.of the total magnetic flux of pre-exis.ing AR)emergence of a new magnetic flux within the pre-exis.ing magnetic configuration was.obs.rved;for s.me of them the emergence res.lted in a formation of a configuration with a s.all δ-s.ns.ot;11 out of 100 ARs.exhibited no s.gnatures.of magnetic flux emergence during the entire interval of *** s.x cas.s.the emergence was.in progres. when the AR appeared on the Eas.ern limb,s. that the clas.ification and timing of emergence were not *** conclude that the recent flux emergence is.not a neces.ary and/or s.fficient condition for s.rong flaring of an *** flux emergence rate of flare-productive ARs.analyzed here was.compared with that of flare-quiet ARs.analyzed in our previous.*** revealed that the flare-productive ARs.tend to dis.lay fas.er emergence than the flare-quiet ones.do.

The article des.ribes.ethylene polymerization reactions.with trans.tion metal catalys.s.bas.d on complexes.of CoCl_(2) and FeCl_(2) with an N,N,N-tridentate ligand 2,6-bis.1-(2,6-dimethylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine. The complexes.are converted into polymerization catalys.s.by reacting them either with polymethylalumoxane (MAO) or with a combination of Al(C2H5)2Cl and Mg(C4H9)2 at an [Al]:[Mg] ratio of ~3. Both MAO-activated complexes.readily polymerize ethylene at 35 ℃ with the formation of linear, low molecular weight polymers.with a narrow molecular weight dis.ribution. The s.me complexes. when activated with the Al(C2H5)2Cl-Mg(C4H9)2 combination, form multi-center catalys.s.and generate polyethylenes.with a broad molecular weight dis.ribution.

We report on the novel heterometallic quaternary s.lenide EuCeCus.3,the fabrication of which has.been a challenge until this.*** s.ructure of the reported s.lenide was.elucidated from the powder X-ray diffraction data,which revealed the formation of EuCeCus.3with excellent yield(96.7%)accompanied with a minor fraction of Ces.2(3.3%),and was.bes. s.lved in orthorhombic s.ace group Pnma with the BaLaCus.s.ructural ***,the crys.al s.ructure of the title compound completes.the row of the heterometallic quaternary s.lenides.EuRECus.3(RE=La,Pr,Nd,s.,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu,Y),of which the cerium-bas.d derivative exclus.vely belongs.to the BaLaCus.s.ructural *** dis.ortion of the Cus.4polyhedron was.compared for the whole s.ries.of EuRECus.3compounds.us.ng theτ4-des.riptor for four coordinated ions.which revealed the highes. degree of dis.ortion for the Ce3+-containing s.lenide,followed by the La3+-bas.d ***,the crys.allographic and geometrical parameters.of the reported s.lenide were dis.us.ed in comparis.n to the Ce3+-bas.d s.lfides.s.CeCus.and *** initio calculations.of the crys.al s.ructure,a phonon s.ectrum and elas.ic cons.ants.for the crys.al of EuCeCus.3were als. *** types.and wavenumbers.of fundame ntal modes.were determined and the involvement of ions.participating in the phonon modes.was.*** experimental IR s.ectrum of the reported s.lenide was.interpreted and found to be in agreement with the calculated *** experimental direct band gap of EuCeCus.3was.meas.red to be 1.36 eV that is.cons.s.ent with the concept of its.origin due to interband trans.tions.between orbitals.emerging mainly from 4f(valence band)and 5d(conduction band)levels.of the Eu2+*** dependence of the Young’s.modulus.on the direction demons.rates.the anis.tropy of the elas.ic properties.while the Vickers.hardnes. for EuCeCus.3was.calculated to be 5.2 ***,the title compound is.paramagnetic above 4 K.
