A series of Sc,Y,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Ho,Er,Tm and Yb complexes with oxybenzoquinoline ligands(BQ) was synthesized by the reactions of 10-hydroxybenzo[h]quinoline with cyclopentadienides or tris(trimethylsilyl)amides of rare earth *** structure,as well as the photo-and electroluminescent(PL,EL) properties of these complexes in solutions and solid state were *** solutions,complexes of sodium and lanthanides exhibit double peaked ligand-centered PL of enol and keto forms of BQ with a quantum yield of 1%-8%.In the solid state the complexes of Sm,Eu,Ho,Nd,Er,and Yb along with the ligand-centered PL also exhibit a moderate-intensity metal-centered PL which is characteristic of the corresponding Ln^(3+) ***(BQ)_(3) complex shows bright green EL which has intensity comparable to the best results observed for scandium complexes with other organic ligands.

Background:Capsule endoscopy(CE)is frequently hindered by intra-luminal *** aim was to determine whether a combination bowel preparation would improve small-bowel visualization,diagnostic yield,and the completion rate of ***:Single-blind,prospective randomized–controlled study of outpatients scheduled for ***-preparation subjects ingested 2 L of polyethylene glycol solution the night prior to CE,5mL simethicone and 5mg metoclopramide 20 minutes prior to CE and laid in the right lateral position 30 minutes after swallowing *** had no solid food after 7 *** night prior to CE and no liquids 4 hours prior to *** completed a satisfaction *** readers completed a small-bowel-visualization ***:fifty patients were prospectively enrolled(56%female)with a median age of 54.4 years and 44 completed the study(23 patients in the control group and 21 in the preparation group).There was no significant difference between groups on quartile-based small-bowel visualization(all P>0.05).There was no significant difference between groups in diagnostic yield(P=0.69),mean gastric(P=0.10)or small-bowel transit time(P=0.89).The small-bowel completion rate was significantly higher in the preparation group(100%vs 78%;P=0.02).Bowel-preparation subjects reported significantly more discomfort than controls(62%vs 17%;P=0.01).Conclusions:Combined bowel preparation did not improve small-bowel visualization but did significantly increase patient *** CE completion rate improved in the preparation group but the diagnostic yield was *** on our findings,a bowel preparation prior to CE does not appear to improve CE performance and results in decreased patient satisfaction(***,***01243736).

III-V compound semiconductor nanowires are generally characterized by the coexistence of zincblende and wurtzite structures. So far, this polytypism has impeded the determination of the electronic properties of the metastable wurtzite phase of GaAs, which thus remain highly controversial. In an effort to obtain new insights into this topic, we cross-correlate nanoscale spectral imaging by near-field scanning optical microscopy with a transmission electron microscopy analysis of the very same polytypic GaAs nanowire dispersed onto a Si wafer. Thus, spatially resolved photoluminescence spectra could be unambiguously assigned to nanowire segments whose structure is known with lattice-resolved accuracy. An emission energy of 1.528 eV was observed from extended zincblende segments, revealing that the dispersed nanowire was under uniaxial strain presumably due to interaction with its supporting substrate. These crucial information and the emission energy obtained for extended pure wurtzite segments were used to perform envelope function calculations of zincblende quantum disks in a wurtzite matrix as well as the inverse structure. In these calculations, we varied the fundamental bandgap, the electron mass, and the band offset between zincblende and wurtzite GaAs. from this multi-parameter comparison with the experimental data, we deduced that the bandgap between the f8 conduction and A valence band ranges from 1.532 to 1.539 eV in strain-free wurtzite GaAs, and estimated values of 1.507 to 1.514 eV for the f7-A bandgap.

OI 630.0 nm airglow observations,from a new observatory at Bom Jesus de Lapa,were used to study the interaction between EPBs(Equatorial Plasma Bubbles)and the MSTID(Medium-Scale Traveling Ionospheric Disturbance)over the Northeast region in *** the night of September 16 to 17,2020,an EPB was observed propagating eastward,in an apparent fossil stage,until it interacted with a dark band electrified MSTID(e MSTID).After the interaction,four EPBs merged,followed by an abrupt southward development and *** of the data suggests that an eastward polarization electric field,induced by the dark band e MSTID,forced the EPB into an upward drift,growing latitudinally along the magnetic field lines and then bifurcating.

The thermal structure of subduction zones exerts a major influence on deep-seated mechanical and chemical processes controlling arc magmatism, seismicity, and global element cycles. Accretionary complexes exposed inland may comprise tectonic blocks with contrasting pressureetemperature(Pe T)histories, making it possible to investigate the dynamics and thermal evolution of former subduction interfaces. With this aim, we present new Lue Hf geochronological results for mafic rocks of the Halilbag?Complex(Anatolia) that evolved along different thermal gradients. Samples include a lawsoniteeepidote blueschist, a lawsoniteeepidote eclogite, and an epidote eclogite(all with counter-clockwise Pe T paths),a prograde lawsonite blueschist with a "hairpin"-type Pe T path, and a garnet amphibolite from the overlying sub-ophiolitic metamorphic sole. Equilibrium phase diagrams suggest that the garnet amphibolite formed at w0.6 -0.7 GPa and 800 -850℃, whereas the prograde lawsonite blueschist records burial from 2.1 GPa and 420℃ to 2.6 GPa and 520℃. Well-defined Lue Hf isochrons were obtained for the epidote eclogite(92.38 ± 0.22 Ma) and the lawsoniteeepidote blueschist(90.19 ± 0.54 Ma),suggesting rapid garnet growth. The lawsoniteeepidote eclogite(87.30 ± 0.39 Ma) and the prograde lawsonite blueschist(ca. 86 Ma) are younger, whereas the garnet amphibolite(104.5 ± 3.5 Ma) is *** data reveal a consistent trend of progressively decreasing geothermal gradient from granulite-facies conditions at ~104 Ma to the epidote-eclogite facies around 92 Ma, and the lawsonite blueschist-facies between 90 Ma and 86 Ma. Three Lue Hf garnet dates(between 92 Ma and 87 Ma) weighted toward the growth of post-peak rims(as indicated by Lu distribution in garnet) suggest that the HP/LT rocks were exhumed continuously and not episodically. We infer that HP/LT metamorphic rocks within the Halilbag?Complex were subjected to continuous return flow, with "warm" rocks being exhumed during the tectonic bur

Metal debris from metal-on-metal (MoM) total hip arthroplasties (THA) has been suspected to cause periprosthetic heterotopic ossifications (HO). We determined the influence of disseminated cobalt, chromium and molybdenum on the development of HO. Native blood samples from patients with 86 high-carbon and 16 low-carbon Co28Cr6Mo articulations were analysed by high-resolution inductively coupled plasma mass-spectrometry (HR ICP-MS). The results revealed that high-carbon metal-on-metal articulations showed lower metal blood levels (Co 1.03 to 1.60 μg/l, Cr 0.77 to 0.88 μg/l, Mo 0.45 to 0.56 μg/l) whereas low-carbon articulations achieved higher metal blood levels (Co 2.59 to 6.85 μg/l, Cr 1.25 to 3.55 μg/l, Mo 0.45 to 0.64 μg/l), but no correlation between metal ion blood level or carbon content and the development of HO could be found in these MoM articulations. Hence, metal debris from MoM articulation does not stimulate heterotopic bone formation despite other well-known local reactions.
