A Review of Thermo- and Diffusio-Phoresis in the Atmospheric Aerosol Scavenging Process. Part 2: Ice Crystal and Snow Scavenging

The role of phoretic forces in the identification of particles acting as ice nuclei in mixed phase cloud is discussed. A method used to identify the effective ice nucleating particles is to sample ice crystals, which are afterwards sublimated, and to examine the particles remaining after evaporation. The procedure takes into account only crystal with a maximum diameter of 20 μm, by assuming that small crystals do not scavenge aerosol during growth, and therefore that crystals contain only the effective nucleating particles. This assumption is questionable, however, as experiments have shown that even small ice crystals can scavenge aerosol. Another approach has been to compare the number and elemental composition of residual particles in small ice crystals and of aerosol near the cloud. By considering as example soot and black carbon aerosol, contradictory conclusions on their importance in the processes of ice nucleation have been reported in the literature. We suggest that, in addition to physico-chemical properties of soot/carbon aerosol particles, even the microphysical and environmental parameters involved in the transition of aerosol from gas phase to ice crystals in cloud should be considered. The contribution of phoretic forces should also be considered. After initial growth ice crystals can continue to grow by water vapour diffusion. Laboratory experiments confirm the contribution of diffusiophoresis with Stefan flow in the scavenging by snow crystals up to 3 mm in diameter. The particle scavenging efficiency of snow crystals is related to crystalline shape and depends on air relative humidity and temperature.

BACKGROUND Interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome(IC/BPS)is an at least 6-mo noninfectious bladder inflammation of unknown origin characterized by chronic suprapubic,abdominal,and/or pelvic *** the term cystitis suggests an inflammatory or infectious origin,no definite cause has been *** occurs in both sexes,but women are twice as much *** To systematically review evidence of psychiatric/psychological changes in persons with IC/*** Hypothesizing that particular psychological characteristics could underpin IC/BPS,we investigated in three databases the presence of psychiatric symptoms and/or disorders and/or psychological characteristics in patients with IC/BPS using the following strategy:("interstitial cystitis"OR"bladder pain syndrome")AND("mood disorder"OR depressive OR antidepressant OR depression OR depressed OR hyperthymic OR mania OR manic OR rapid cyclasterisk OR dysthymiasterisk OR dysphoriasterisk).RESULTS On September 27,2023,the PubMed search produced 223 articles,CINAHL 62,and the combined PsycLIT/PsycARTICLES/PsycINFO/Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection search *** on *** produced 14 studies,of which none had available *** were peer-reviewed articles reporting psychiatric/psychological symptoms in patients with IC/BPS,i.e.63 articles spanning from 2000 to October *** studies identified depression and anxiety problems in the IC/BPS population,along with sleep problems and the tendency to *** Psychotherapies targeting catastrophizing and life stress emotional awareness and expression reduced perceived pain in women with IC/*** concepts should be considered when implementing treatments aimed at reducing IC/BPS-related pain.

For the purpose of the investigations, we propose in the present paper that we have been carrying out for some years into new perspectives for a Marxist Psychoanalysis; we try the consistence of Marxist psychoanalysis with the pre-Leninist idea of Class consciousness as developed in Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 and in the unpublished books of Das Kapital (notably the law of the tendency of the rate of profit to fall). The roots of Freudian Marxists (Reich and Fenichel above all, but Sabina Spielrein too) are put into a comparative analysis with Marxian psychiatry arising from the de-colonization process (Fanon) and with the teaching of Jacques Lacan about Marxist concepts such as plus value and reification, and eventually with the proposal on the political Unconscious developed by Fredric Jameson. Finally, it comes the hypothesis that Psychoanalysis could correspond to Class consciousness.

Introduction Contextualizing the 2016 G20： Global Analyses and Challenges for the Chinese Presidency

China＇s G20 presidency, with its core theme of ＂Towards an Innovative, Invigorated, Interconnected and Inclusive World Economy＂ is as important for China as for the world economy. For China, the 2016 presidency allows it to showcase its unique route to development and poverty reduction, so effectively shepherded over the past three decades. Therefore, heading the G20 is a timely opportunity to define China＇s role in global economic governance by setting goals that are both ambitious and realistic and by promoting its own initiatives and principles for the global common good. For the G20, this relatively new format of global governance has been increasingly criticized for being a talking shop, where statements follow declarations with little impact, with little success in giving new impetus to the global economy. In 2016, a number of new challenges are coming to the fore： world GDP growth is projected to fall below its long- term average, global trade is slowing down, and investment flows are declining. Against the backdrop of accumulating economic and geopolitical headwinds shaking many countries and regions, G20 leaders need to cooperate more than ever to restore sustained and sustainable growth.
