With the increas. in antimicrobial res.s.ance,it has.become neces.ary to explore alternative approaches.for combating and preventing ***-cinnamaldehyde(CNM)and Benzyl4-amino(B4AM)are bioactive compounds.derived from chalcones.but with res.ricted s.lubility in aqueous.*** can enhance the s.lubility of compounds.and can be a promis.ng alternative in the development of novel antimicrobials.with reduced s.de effects.and prolonged *** objective of this.s.udy was.to evaluate the s.ability of oil-in-water nanoemuls.ons.loaded with two dis.inct types.of chalcones.at two different dos.ges.to propos. a s.able formulation with antimicrobial *** s.owed that nanoemuls.ons.pres.nted high encaps.lation efficiency,low polydis.ers.ty index(PDI)and particle s.ze below 200 nm,indicating that emuls.fication was.a s.itable method for nanoemuls.on *** with higher dos.ges.exhibited s.gnificant antimicrobial effects.when compared to free chalcones.and pos.tive ***,B4AM nanoemuls.ons.at higher dos.ges.s.owed expres.ive activity agains. s.lmonella minnes.ta,with a 420%greater inhibitory res.ons. compared to the free form and s.owing equivalence to the pos.tive *** nanoemuls.ons.s.owed excellent inhibitory activity at the highes. dos.ge,equivalent to the pos.tive control agains. *** and s.aphylococcus.*** greater number of conjugated bonds.in CNM increas.d the antimicrobial activity in comparis.n with B4AM,and the formation of nanometric domains.enhanced the bioavailability,being a promis.ng alternative for antimicrobial applications.

Recently, tragic tailings.dam collaps.s.in Brazil have caus.d deaths.and major des.ruction and the need to develop technologies.capable of preventing damage to people and the environment. Brazilian tailings.dams.are in a s.tuation of uncertainty due to new legis.ation that even requires.decommis.ioning, an activity that involves.many problems.and where the ris. of failure is.the main one. An impact containment s.ructure downs.ream of thes. dams.can be effective and geotextile tubes. in a new approach, have emerged as.an option with advantages.in terms.of execution, cos.s.and s.fety. The technology is.vers.tile and can bring many benefits.s.ch as.the reus. of tailings.or filling with low-energy or reus.d materials. In this.res.arch, geotextile tubes.were tes.ed as.free containment barriers. experiencing impacts.in reduced models. The s.fety factor for the s.ability of the s.ructure was.cons.ructed us.ng an equation which is.the ratio between the s.lf-weight of the barrier s.ructure and its.coefficient of s.atic friction and the impact pres.ure, where the data s.owed an adequate correlation which s.gges.s.the viability of mitigating ris.s.

Particulate organic matter(POM)is.an important energy s.urce for aquatic cons.mers.unders.anding its.origin and compos.tion is.es.ential for unders.anding the energetic dynamics.of aquatic *** aim of this.s.udy was.to analyze the relations.ip between POM and phytoplankton(is.topic values.and chlorophyll concentration)and abiotic variables.during dry and rainy *** was.conducted in rivers.and lagoons.in the floodplain of the Upper Paraná*** found a greater difference in ^(δ13)C values.of POM between s.mpling points.than between s.as.ns.indicating that the compos.tion of regional s.urces.influences.the compos.tion of POM more than dry and rainy *** addition,the concentration of chlorophyll during the dry s.as.n was.pos.tively correlated with ^(δ13)C values.during that rainy ***,we found a relations.ip between factors.limiting the growth of phytoplankton and ^(δ13)C values.of POM,s.ch as.phos.hate ions.indicating that variables.that regulate phytoplankton growth tend to influence the compos.tion of POM in river ***,maintaining the variables.that regulate the phytoplankton community is.of fundamental importance for the compos.tion of POM,an important energy s.urce in aquatic environments.
