Since 2014,"Bring Your Own Data"workshops(BYODs)have been organised to inform people about the process and benefits of making resources Findable,Accessible,Interoperable,and Reusable(FAIR,and the FAIRification process).The BYOD workshops'content and format differ depending on their goal,context,and the background and needs of ***-focused BYODs educate domain experts on how to make their data FAIR to find new answers to research ***-focused BYODs promote the benefits of making data FAIR and instruct project managers and policy-makers on the characteristics of FAIRification ***-focused BYODs gather software developers and experts on FAIR to implement or improve software resources that are used to support ***,these BYODs intend to foster collaboration between different types of stakeholders involved in data management,curation,and reuse(*** experts,trainers,developers,data owners,data analysts,FAIR experts).The BYODs also serve as an opportunity to learn what kind of support for FAIRification is needed from different communities and to develop teaching materials based on practical examples and *** this paper,we detail the three different structures of the BYODs and describe examples of early BYODs related to plant breeding data,and rare disease registries and biobanks,which have shaped the structure of the *** discuss the latest insights into making BYODs more productive by leveraging our almost ten years of training experience in these workshops,including successes and encountered ***,we examine how the participants'feedback has motivated the research on FAIR,including the development of workflows and software.

A Short Amino-Terminal Part of Arabidopsis Phytochrome A Induces Constitutive Photomorphogenic Response

Phytochrome A （phyA） is the dominant photoreceptor of far-red light sensing in Arabidopsis thaliana, phyA accumulates at high levels in the cytoplasm of etiolated seedlings, and light-induced phyA signaling is mediated by a com- plex regulatory network. This includes light- and FHY1/FHl protein-dependent translocation of native phyA into the nucleus in vivo. It has also been shown that a short N-terminal fragment of phyA （PHYA406） is sufficient to phenocopy this highly regulated cellular process in vitro. To test the biological activity of this N-terminal fragment of phyA in planta, we produced transgenic phyA-201 plants expressing the PHYA406-YFP （YellOW FlUOReSCeNT PROTeIN）-DD, PHYA406- YFP-DD-NlS （nuclear localization signal）, and PHYA406-YFP-DD-NeS （nuclear export signal） fusion proteins. Here, we report that PHYA406-YFP-DD is imported into the nucleus and this process is partially light-dependent whereas PHYA406-YFP-DD-NlS and PHYA406-YFP-DD-NeS display the expected constitutive localization patterns. Our results show that these truncated phyA proteins are light-stable, they trigger a constitutive photomorphogenic-like response when localized in the nuclei, and neither of them induces proper phyA signaling. We demonstrate that in vitro and in vivo PHYA406 Pfr and Pr bind COP1, a general repressor of photomorphogenesis, and co-localize with it in nuclear bodies. Thus, we conclude that, in planta, the truncated PHYA406 proteins inactivate COP1 in the nuclei in a light-independent fashion.

The effects of welding speed on the macroscopic and microscopic residual stresses(RSes) in friction stir welded 17 vol.% SiCp/2009 Al-T4 composite plates were studied via neutron diffraction and an improved decoupled hierarchical multiscale modeling methods. Measurements showed that the macroscopic and total RSes had the largest variations in the longitudinal direction(lD). Increasing the welding speed led to higher values of measured lD macroscopic and total RSes in the matrix. The welding speed also significantly influenced the distributions and magnitudes of the microscopic RSes. The RSes were predicted via an improved hierarchical multiscale model, which includes a constant coefficient of friction based thermal model. The RSes in the composite plates before friction stir welding(FSW) were computed and then set as the initial states of the FSW process during modeling. This improved decoupled multiscale model provided improved predictions of the temperature and RSes compared with our previous model.

Five-year mortality and coronary heart disease development after normal coronary angiogram

BACKGROUND： Previous studies depict low cardiac event and mortality rates in patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries. These studies, however, are limited by small sample sizes, short follow-up intervals, and selection biases. This study was undertaken to determine the natural five-year course of a diverse cohort of subjects with documented normal coronary arteries with respect to coronary heart disease development, revascularization need, and all-cause ***： Consecutive adult patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries were followed up for 5 years through medical record review. Patients with any degree of angiographic abnormality, including minimal luminal irregularity or non-critical stenosis, were excluded. Patients were not excluded based on age, co-morbidities （except cardiac transplant and structural heart disease）, indication for angiogram, or initial hospitalization ***： Normal coronary arteries were found in 182 （31.3%） of 582 patients; 129 met all inclusion criteria. The mean age was （49.1±12.5） years; 47 （36.7%） were male and 75 （58.1%） were caucasian. The most common indication for angiography was cumulative risk factors （60.5%）. Within 5 years of a normal angiogram, 13 of 129 patients died （10.1%; 95 CI 5.7%-16.9%）. Six （40%; 95 CI 19.8% to 64.3%） of 15 patients undergoing repeat angiogram within five years developed new coronary heart disease, with one requiring revascularization. Of traditional risk factors of coronary heart disease, only diabetes was associated with a higher risk of ***： The natural five-year course of a diverse cohort of patients with documented normal coronary arteries suggests that there is significant risk for death and development of coronary heart disease.

energy Planning in Small Municipalities Based on Monitoring Results and Demand Side Management

Recent estimates state that the european Union is on course to achieve only half of the 20% energy consumption reduction target by 2020. As the first governmental stakeholders involved in the implementation of energy saving initiatives, municipalities play a strategic role in the energy planning process. This paper focuses on establishment of an energy planning methodology for small municipalities with numbers of inhabitants in range of 1,000-10,000 which often face common problems associated with low efficient district heat supply systems and decreasing energy consumption in buildings. Particular attention is paid to DSM （demand side management） activities. DSM scheme includes legislative and financial flows with small investments from municipality side. Based on increased information and motivation it promotes reduction of energy consumption in all kinds of buildings. Practical experience has shown that application of DSM measures allows achieving 20% energy savings in municipal buildings during the first year.

The FAIR principles have been widely cited,endorsed and adopted by a broad range of stakeholders since their publication in *** intention,the 15 FAIR guiding principles do not dictate specific technological implementations,but provide guidance for improving Findability,Accessibility,Interoperability and Reusability of digital *** has likely contributed to the broad adoption of the FAIR principles,because individual stakeholder communities can implement their own FAIR ***,it has also resulted in inconsistent interpretations that carry the risk of leading to incompatible ***,while the FAIR principles are formulated on a high level and may be interpreted and implemented in different ways,for true interoperability we need to support convergence in implementation choices that are widely accessible and(re)-*** introduce the concept of FAIR implementation considerations to assist accelerated global participation and convergence towards accessible,robust,widespread and consistent FAIR *** self-identified stakeholder community may either choose to reuse solutions from existing implementations,or when they spot a gap,accept the challenge to create the needed solution,which,ideally,can be used again by other communities in the ***,we provide interpretations and implementation considerations(choices and challenges)for each FAIR principle.

Impact of Marijuana on Response Inhibition: an fMRI Study in Young Adults

Rationale: Marijuana use in adolescence is prevalent and increasing. Understanding the neural correlates of the impact of this use is critical for policy making and for youth awareness. Objectives The effects of marijuana use on response inhibition were investigated in 19–21-year-olds using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Methods: Participants were members of the Ottawa Prenatal Prospective Study, a longitudinal study that collected a unique body of information on participants from infancy to young adulthood including: prenatal drug history, detailed cognitive/behavioral performance, and current and past drug use. This information allowed for the control of an unparalleled number of potentially confounding variables including: prenatal marijuana, nicotine, alcohol, and caffeine exposure and offspring alcohol, marijuana, and nicotine use. Ten marijuana users and 14 nonusers that served as controls performed a Go/No-Go task while fMRI blood oxygen level-dependent response was examined. Results: Despite similar task performance, there was a positive relationship between amount of marijuana smoked and activation in right thalamus, premotor cortex and middle frontal gyrus. These regions form part of the neural network responsible for inhibition control. There was also a positive dose dependent relationship with marijuana and activation in inferior parietal lobe and precuneus, also parts of response inhibition pathways. Conclusions: These results suggest a dose dependent alteration in neural functioning during response inhibition after controlling for other prenatal and current drug use. These alterations may be necessary in order to compensate for neural changes in response inhibition circuits caused by long term marijuana use that began during adolescence/young adulthood.

Al metal-organic batteries are a perspective high-energy battery technology based on abundant ***,the practical energy density of Al metal-organic batteries is strongly dependent on its electrochemical *** density is mostly governed by the nature of the aluminium complex ion and utilization of redox activity of the organic *** organic cathodes have been used before,detailed study of the electrochemical mechanism is typically not the primary *** the present work,electrochemical mechanism of Al metal-phenanthrenequinone battery is investigated with a range of different analytical ***,its capacity retention is optimized through the preparation of insoluble cross-coupled polymer,which exemplifies extremely low capacity fade and long-term cycling *** situ and operando ATR-IR confirm that reduction of phenanthrenequinone group proceeds through the two-electron reduction of carbonyl groups,which was previously believed to exchange only one-electron,severely limiting cathode *** of aluminium complex ion interacting with organic cathode is determined through multiprong approach using SeM-eDS,XPS,and solid-state NMR,which all point to the dominant contribution of AlCl2+*** full capacity utilization,Al metal-polyphenanthrenequinone battery utilizing AlCl2+offers an energy density of more than 200Wh/kg making it a viable solution for stationary electrical energy storage.
