Facile synthesis of sam.rium.and cerium.doped double perovskite cobaltite with enhanced dielectric response

The investigation of Sm.Ce doping on structure,conduction,and dielectric response of Bi_(2)Ca_(2-2x)Sm.(x)CexCoO_(6)(x=0.000,0.025,0.050,0.075)(BCSCCO)are *** the specim.ns were synthesized by a facile synthesis technique nam.d the co-precipitation route.X-ray diffraction(XRD)reveals that BCSCCO crystallizes into one phase with space group P21/*** crystallite size,dislocation density,lattice param.ters,lattice strain,unit cell volum.,and bulk density were determ.ned using XRD *** structural properties of Bi_(2)Ca_(2)CoO_(6)were exam.ned using calculations based on the density functional *** and experim.ntal values discrepancy is less than 1%.A scanning electron m.croscope was used for perform.ng a m.crostructural *** SEm.im.ges dem.nstrate the hom.geneous distribution of grains with a range of sizes(0.054-0.090μm..The alternating current(ac)conductivity,dielectric perm.ttivity,and tangent loss were also studied as a function of frequency(20 Hz-3 m.z)at different tem.eratures(100-500℃).All synthesized sam.les were exam.ned using non-linear Debye's function to determ.ne their spreading factor and relaxation *** specim.n with the lowest crystallite size(∼23 nm.exhibits a high dielectric perm.ttivity(∼3.80×10^(6)).The conduction m.chanism.was exam.ned in the studied sam.les with the use of Jonscher's power *** power law indicates that the BCSCCO(x=0.000,0.025)follows correlated barrier hopping,whereas the x=0.050 and 0.075 com.ositions follow non-overlapping polaron *** studied specim.n Bi_(2)Ca_(1.9)0Sm.(0.05)0Ce_(0.05)_(0)CoO_(6)with the highest density(∼5.65 g/cm.(3))displays a high electrical conductivity(∼46.1 S/cm..These findings correspond to those published for ceram.cs m.de from.calcium.cobaltite using solid-state reactions(5.0-26.0 S/cm..

Activation of LONP1 by 84-B10 alleviates aristolochic acid nephropathy via re-establishing m.tochondrial and peroxisom.l hom.ostasis

Pharm.ceutical form.lations derived from.Aristolochiaceae herbs, which contain aristolochic acids (AAs), are widely used for m.dicinal purposes. However, exposure to these plants and isolated AAs is linked to renal toxicity, known as AA nephropathy (AAN). Currently, the m.chanism. underlying AAN are not fully understood, leading to unsatisfactory treatm.nt strategies. In this study, we explored the protective role of 84-B10 (5-[[2-(4-m.thoxyphenoxy)-5-(trifluorom.thyl) phenyl] am.no]-5-oxo-3-phenylpentanoic acid) against AAN. RNA-seq analysis revealed that the m.tochondrion and peroxisom. were the m.st affected cellular com.onents following 84-B10 treatm.nt in AAN m.ce. Consistently, 84-B10 treatm.nt preserved m.tochondrial ultrastructure, restored m.tochondrial respiration, enhanced the expression of key transporters (carnitine palm.toyltransferase 2) and enzym.s (acyl-Coenzym. A dehydrogenase, m.dium.chain) involved in m.tochondrial fatty acid β-oxidation, and reduced m.tochondrial ROS generation in both aristolochic acid I (AAI)-challenged m.ce kidneys and cultured proxim.l tubular epithelial cells. Additionally, 84-B10 treatm.nt increased the expression of key transporters (ATP binding cassette subfam.ly D) and rate-lim.ting enzym.s (acyl-CoA oxidase 1) involved in peroxisom.l fatty acid β-oxidation and restored peroxisom.l redox balance. Knocking down LONP1 expression dim.nished the protective effects of 84-B10 against AAN, suggesting LONP1-dependent protection. In conclusion, our study provides evidence that AAN is associated with significant disturbances in both m.tochondrial and peroxisom.l functions. The LONP1 activator 84-B10 dem.nstrates therapeutic potential against AAN, likely by m.intaining hom.ostasis in both m.tochondria and peroxisom.s. © 2024 China Pharm.ceutical University

Bacterial networks becam. less connected with soil developm.nt along prim.ry *** com.osition was initially governed by stochasticity, but as succession proceeded, there was a progressive increase in determ.nistic selection correlated with decreasing *** natural m.croorganism. in extrem. habitats exist as consortia that provide robustness and extensive m.tabolic capabilities in structuring bacterial *** m.crobial ecology, there is lim.ted understanding of the m.chanism. governing patterns in com.unity structure across space and tim.. Here, we studied the changes of bacterial co-occurrence network structure over four prim.ry successional soils after glacier retreat, including a sand dune system.and three glacier foreland series, varying in tim.scale from.centuries to m.llennia. We found that in all series, network structure was m.st com.lex in the earliest stages of succession, and becam. sim.ler over tim.. Richness and abundance of keystone species and network stability also declined over tim.. It appears that with less productive, nutrient poor and physiologically extrem. conditions of early succession, closer interactions am.ng bacterial species are ecologically selected for. These m.y take the form.of consortia (with positive interactions) or stronger niche exclusion (with negative interactions). Additionally, we quantified the relative roles of different structuring processes on bacterial com.unity using a bin-based null m.del analysis (iCAm.). With each successional series, com.unity com.osition was initially governed by stochasticity, but as succession proceeded there was a progressive increase in determ.nistic selection over tim., correlated with decreasing pH. Overall, our results show a consistency am.ng the four series in long-term.processes of com.unity succession, with m.re integrated networks and greater stochasticity in early stages.

However, the dental pulp is highly susceptible to necrosis due to external factors. Currently, root canal therapy is the m.st com.only used treatm.nt for pulp necrosis. Nevertheless, teeth treated with root canal therapy are prone to secondary infections and adverse outcom.s like vertical root fractures. Regenerative endodontic therapy has em.rged as a solution, aim.ng to replace dam.ged tooth structures, including dentin, root structure, and the pulp-dentin com.lex cells. This approach dem.nstrates significant advantages in addressing clinical sym.tom. and achieving regeneration of the root and even the pulp. Since the discovery of dental pulp stem.cells, regenerative endodontic therapy has gained new m.m.ntum. Advances in cell transplantation and cell hom.ng techniques have rapidly developed, showing prom.sing potential for clinical applications.

Cancer occurs when the body’s cells grow beyond the usual control. Norm.l body cells m.ltiply in a controlled m.nner and undergo apoptosis when the body no longer needs them. Different types of cancers exist, and the com.on ones include breast, cervical, prostate, lung, colon, and skin cancers. Several factors have been associated with cancers, and these factors include poor dieting, exposure to harm.ul chem.cals and radiation, weak im.une system. and genetics. Cancer presents an enorm.us health threat in the m.dern world and thus the need to identify an effective treatm.nt. The conventional treatm.nts used in the m.nagem.nt of cancer include chem.therapy and physiotherapy. These form. of cancer treatm.nts usually have enorm.us side effects on the subjects. In this respect, an alternative form.of treatm.nt would be effective in m.naging cancer patients. A substantial num.er of natural products have been observed to be effective in the m.nagem.nt of cancer. These natural products include plants and other natural substances such as honey. This study focuses on the efficiency of natural products in the treatm.nt of cancer. Also, the anticancer effects of Peganum.harm.la, m.nuka honey, and Saudi honey will be analyzed. Bee honey and Peganum.harm.la have been traditionally used in the treatm.nt of cancer. The extracts from.Peganum.harm.la plant have also been shown to exhibit divers’ antitum.r effects sim.lar to the m.de of action of a vast num.er of anticancer agents. These established hypotheses thus give the rationale for this study. In this experim.nt, extracts were obtained from.Peganum.harm.la leaves and exposed to cervical, lung, and prostate cancer cells. Sim.larly, solutions of m.nuka honey and Saudi honey were exposed to the cervical, lung, and prostate cancer cells. The experim.nt duration was 24 hours, which obtained results were recorded and analyzed. Peganum.harm.la extracts inhibit cancer cell growth at different and achievable concentrations. m.nuka honey
