Electrostatic discharge(EsD) failure has become an emerging challenge for radio frequency(RF) integrated circuits(ICs),which requires high EsD-protection for circuit applications in harsh *** paper discusses the design and optimization of an ultra-wideband(UWB) correlator circuit using EsDaware simulation design ***-mode EsD simulation-design method and RF EsD characterization technique are presented for accurate EsD device design and EsD-induced parasitic effects *** impact of EsD induced parasitic is carefully considered in the whole correlator design simulation by using a direct s-parameter insertion *** design is based on a commercial 0.18 μm RFCMOs technology.

Marine biogenic emission of dimethylsulfi de(DMs)has been well recognized as the main natural source of reduced sulfur to the remote marine atmosphere and has the potential to aff ect climate,especially in the polar *** used a global climate model(GCM)to investigate the impact on atmospheric chemistry from a change to the contemporary DMs fl ux to that which has been projected for the late 21 st *** perturbed simulation corresponded to conditions that pertained to a tripling of equivalent CO 2,which was estimated to occur by year 2090 based on current worst-case greenhouse gas emission *** changes in zonal mean DMs fl ux were applied to 50°s–70°s Antarctic(ANT)and 65°N–80°N Arctic(ARC)*** results indicate that there are clearly diff erent impacts after perturbation in the southern and northern polar *** quantities related to the sulfur cycle show a higher increase in ***,most sulfur compounds have higher peaks in *** perturbation in DMs fl ux leads to an increase of atmospheric DMs of about 45%in ANT and 33.6%in *** sulfur dioxide(sO 2)vertical integral increases around 43%in ANT and 7.5%in ***(sO 4)vertical integral increases by 17%in ANT and increases around 6%in *** emissions increases by 21%in ANT and increases by 9.7%in ***,oxidation of DMs by OH increases by 38.2%in ARC and by 15.17%in *** optical depth(AOD)increases by 4%in the ARC and by 17.5%in the ANT,and increases by 22.8%in austral *** importance of the perturbation of the biogenic source to future aerosol burden in polar regions leads to a cooling in surface temperature of 1 K in the ANT and 0.8 K in the ***,polar regions in the Antarctic Ocean will have a higher off setting eff ect on warming after DMs fl ux perturbation.

Background:With elderly people comprising a growing share of the population,landscape planners need to consider their specific requirements to enhance the opportunities for them to engage in nature-based recreation(NBR).However,few studies have spatially assessed the recreation potential,demand,and opportunities for elderly people in ***,this paper aimed to spatially model and investigate the NBR opportunities for and demand of elderly people in urban areas.A spatial framework based on the EsTIMAP recreation model was developed,considering special factors to better reflect elderly people’s preferences regarding NBR at the city *** particular,NBR opportunities were assessed considering landscape aesthetics,various types of facilities,and *** street network was used to understand elderly people’s walking behaviours regarding green spaces and related ***:A case study in Hannover,Germany,demonstrated the applicability of the proposed *** results illustrate the spatial heterogeneity of recreation options for the *** parts of Hannover’s green spaces offer high recreation opportunities for elderly *** of the existing green spaces lack diverse landscape compo-nents and sufficient supply of facilities,resulting in a compromise to aesthetics and recreational ***:The proposed method contributes to research on spatial planning and environmental justice by incorporating vulnerable groups’preferences and needs in spatially assessing *** planning implications highlight pocket gardens and greenways connecting communities and parks as development opportunities in the city.

Assessment of sensitization in AIsI 304 stainless steel by Nonlinear Ultrasonic Method

A nonlinear ultrasonic technique has been developed to evaluate sensitization in Type 304 stainless steel. In order to achieve diferent degree of sensitization（DOs）, specimens have been subjected to heat treatment at 675℃ at varying soaking time（0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 h）. Heat treated specimens were subjected to intergranular corrosion tests as per AsTM standards A262 and G108. sensitization in longer soaked material has been confirmed through ditch microstructures, cracks on the bend tested specimens and higher degree of sensitization. Nonlinear ultrasonic studies showed variation in the nonlinearity parameter with soaking time which also confirms sensitization. A good correlation was observed between the degree of sensitization measured by the electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation test and the ultrasonic nonlinearity *** study clearly demonstrated that nonlinear ultrasonic technique can be used as a potential technique for non-destructive characterization of sensitization in austenitic stainless steel.

Using bioelectrochemical systems(BEss)to provide electrochemically generated hydrogen is a promising technology to provide electron donors for reductive dechlorination by organohalide-respiring *** this study,we inoculated two syntrophic dechlorinating cultures containing Dehalobacter and Dehalobacterium to sequentially transform chloroform(CF)to acetate in a BEs using a graphite fiber brush as the *** this co-culture,Dehalobacter transformed CF to stoichiometric amounts of dichloromethane(DCM)via organohalide respiration,whereas the Dehalobacterium-containing culture converted DCM to acetate via *** were initially inoculated with Dehalobacter,and sequential cathodic potentials of-0.6,-0.7,and -0.8 V were poised after consuming three CF doses(500 μM)per each potential during a time-span of 83 *** the end of this period,the accumulated DCM was degraded in the following seven days after the inoculation of *** this point,four consecutive amendments of CF at increasing concentrations of 200,400,600,and 800 μM were sequentially transformed by the combined degradation activity of Dehalobacter and *** Dehalobacter 16s rRNA gene copies increased four orders of magnitude during the whole *** coulombic efficiencies associated with the degradation of CF reached values>60% at a cathodic potential of -0.8 V when the degradation rate of CF achieved the highest *** study shows the advantages of combining syntrophic bacteria to fully detoxify chlorinated compounds in BEss and further expands the use of this technology for treating water bodies impacted with pollutants.

Tay-sachs disease and sandhoff disease are severe hereditary neurodegenerative disorders caused by a deficiency ofβ-hexosaminidase A(HexA)enzyme,which results in the accumulation of GM2 gangliosides in the nervous system *** this work,we analyzed the efficacy and safety of cell-mediated gene therapy for sandhoff disease and sandhoff disease using a bicistronic lentiviral vector encoding cDNA of HexAα-andβ-subunit genes separated by the nucleotide sequence of a P2A peptide(HEXA-HEXB).The functionality of the bicistronic construct containing the HEXA-HEXB genetic cassette was analyzed in a culture of HEK293T cells and human umbilical cord blood mononuclear cells(hUCBMCs).Our results showed that the enzymatic activity of HexA in the conditioned medium harvested from genetically modified HEK293T-HEXA-HEXB and hUCBMCs-HEXA-HEXB was increased by 23 and 8 times,respectively,compared with the conditioned medium of native *** blot analysis showed that hUCBMCs-HEXA-HEXB secreted both completely separated HEXA and HEXB proteins,and an uncleaved protein containing HEXA+HEXB linked by the P2A *** injection of genetically modified hUCBMCs-HEXA-HEXB to laboratory Wistar rats was carried out,and the HexA enzymatic activity in the blood plasma of experimental animals,as well as the number of live cells of immune system organs(spleen,thymus,bone marrow,lymph nodes)were determined.A significant increase in the enzymatic activity of HexA in the blood plasma of laboratory rats on days 6 and 9(by 2.5 and 3 times,respectively)after the administration of hUCBMCsHEXA-HEXB was *** the same time,the number of live cells in the studied organs remained ***,the functionality of the bicistronic genetic construct encoding cDNA of the HEXA and HEXB genes separated by the nucleotide sequence of the P2A peptide was shown in vitro and in *** hypothesize that due to the natural ability of hUCBMCs to overcome biological barriers,such a strategy can rest

The carbon pool stored in soil carbonate is comparable to the soil organic ***,secondary calcite precipitation in supersaturated catchment could be an important,yet poorly constrained,carbon sink within the modern global carbon *** chemical analysis of some dissolved species transported by rivers,such as elevated sr/Ca and Mg/Ca ratios but also heavy stable Ca isotopic compositions,witness the formation of secondary calcite in rivers draining arid ***,in areas affected by active tectonics and rapid physical erosion,co-variations in the fluvial sr/Ca and Mg/Ca ratios could also be related to incongruent carbonate weathering ***,we present a model to assess the roles played by incongruent carbonate dissolution and secondary calcite precipitation in modern weathering *** tested and applied the model to rivers draining the Himalayan–Tibetan *** results suggest that regional aridity in the drainage basin promotes carbon sequestration as secondary carbonate but that for a given runoff,incongruent dissolution of carbonate possibly related to rapid physical erosion amplifies such *** isotopic compositions(^(13)C/^(12)C and^(18)O/^(16)O)of detrital carbonate transported by the main rivers in south and south-East Tibet imply that around 1%of the suspended material transported by those rivers corresponds to secondary carbonate and can represent between 5%and 15%of the alkalinity *** of these alkalinity transported as particulate material is,nevertheless related to the weathering of carbonate lithologies and is also subjected to dissolution prior its final storage in sedimentary ***,on glacial-interglacial timescale this will amplify the significant role of mountain weathering on climatic variations.

The recent release of highly advanced generative artificial intelligence(AI)chatbots,including ChatGPT and Bard,which are powered by large language models(LLMs),has attracted growing mainstream interest over its diverse applications in clinical practice,including in health and *** potential applications of LLM-based programmes in the medical field range from assisting medical practitioners in improving their clinical decision-making and streamlining administrative paperwork to empowering patients to take charge of their own ***,despite the broad range of benefits,the use of such AI tools also comes with several limitations and ethical concerns that warrant further consideration,encompassing issues related to privacy,data bias,and the accuracy and reliability of information generated by *** focus of prior research has primarily centred on the broad applications of LLMs in *** the author’s knowledge,this is,the first article that consolidates current and pertinent literature on LLMs to examine its potential in primary *** objectives of this paper are not only to summarise the potential benefits,risks and challenges of using LLMs in primary care,but also to offer insights into considerations that primary care clinicians should take into account when deciding to adopt and integrate such technologies into their clinical practice.
