The urban street segment analysis chapter of the highway Capacity Manual 2010 provides a methodology for evaluating automobile performance on street segments within an urban roadway network （TRB, 2010）. The methodology involves applying a platoon dispersion model to predict platoon arrival profiles at a downstream signalized intersection; using the predicted arrival flow profiles to compute the proportion of vehicle arrivals on green, and subsequently compute the control delay, average travel speed and level of service （LOS） of the segment. The predictive ability of the hCM 2010 platoon dispersion model has not been independently evaluated using field data. This paper, therefore, uses field data to evaluate the performance of the hCM 2010 platoon dispersion model under friction and no friction traffic conditions. The traffic friction conditions include pedestrian and vehicular interactions on urban collector street segments and the presence of trucks within the traffic stream on principal urban arterial segments. Based on the results obtained, the hCM 2010 platoon dispersion model performs relatively well in predicting platoon arrival profiles on urban street segments with no friction traffic conditions. The results, however, show the model＇s performance is limited on urban street segments with pedestrian and truck friction conditions.

BACKGROUND In adults,bowel intussusception is a rare diagnosis and is mostly due to an organic bowel *** rare cases,this is a complication of a percutaneously placed endoscopic gastro(jejunostomy)*** SUMMARY We describe a case of a 73-year-old patient with a history of myocardial infarction,chronic idiopathic constipation and parkinson’s *** the admission of his parkinson’s medication,a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy with jejunal extension(pEG-j)was *** patient presented three times at the emergency department of the hospital with intermittent abdominal pain with nausea and *** were no distinctive abnormalities from the physical and laboratory *** abdominal computed tomography scan showed a small bowel *** push endoscopy,a jejunal bezoar at the tip of the pEG-j catheter was found to be the cause of small bowel *** intussusception was resolved after removing the bezoar during push *** Endoscopic treatment of bowel intussusception caused by pEG-j catheter bezoar.

AIM:To compare clinical success and complications of uncovered self-expanding metal stents(SEMS)vs covered SEMS(cSEMS)in obstruction of the small ***:Technical success,complications and outcome of endoscopic SEMS or cSEMS placement in tumor related obstruction of the duodenum or jejunum were retrospectively *** primary end points were rates of stent migration and *** end points were the effect of concomitant biliary drainage on migration rate and overall *** data was analyzed according to the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology ***:Thirty-two SEMS were implanted in 20 *** all patients,endoscopic stent implantation was *** migration was observed in 9 of16 cSEMS(56%)in comparison to 0/16 SEMS(0%)implantations(p=0.002).Stent overgrowth did not significantly differ between the two stent types(SEMS:3/16,19%;cSEMS:2/16,13%).One cSEMS dislodged and had to be recovered from the jejunum by way of *** until migration between SEMS and cSEMS in patients with and without concomitant biliary stents did not significantly differ(hR=1.530,95%CI0.731-6.306;p=0.556).The mean follow-up was 57±71 d(range:1-275 d).CONCLUSION:SEMS and cSEMS placement is safe in small bowel tumor ***,cSEMS is accompanied with a high rate of migration in comparison to uncovered SEMS.

This study focuses on the field reconnaissance efforts for investigating ground deformation behavior and building foundation performance in *** structures experienced significant damage or collapsed due to strong ground shaking in the coastal Iskenderun district of hatay during the 2023 Kahramanmaras earthquake *** buildings were also impacted by ground failure due to liquefaction of deposits in the *** information regarding the general subsurface profile and post-earthquake data collected during the reconnaissance was used to perform simplified liquefaction and lateral spreading *** empirical methods provide first order estimations of settlements and lateral spreading but are not sufficient when the nature of the structure-soil-structure interaction and earthquake sequence is *** of vertical displacements and building tilt,liquefaction manifestations,and structural and foundation parameters potentially affecting foundation settlements including foundation geometry,building contact pressure,and building elastic period were used to evaluate seismic response of the ground and the structures through empirical *** of the buildings exhibited poor to mediocre foundation performance due to liquefaction-prone subsurface profiles,especially on the *** field and numerical research will reveal the cause of significant ground failure in the area as well as refined estimates for the seismic deformations.

Objective:To validate traditional claims of usefulness of the Indian plants in management of poisonous snakebite and evaluate the antivenom properties displayed bv the alcoholic extracts of Andrographis paniculata（***）,Crutera magna（***）.Gloriosa superba （***） and hydrocotyle javanica（***）.Methods:These plants were collected, identified and the extracts were prepared bv using conventional Soxhlet ethanol extraction *** venom neutralization activity was accessed in mice（20-25g） and number of mortalities was observed against clinically important snake（Naja nigricollis） *** study also deals with in vitro membrane stabilizing activity of these plants against hyposaline induced human red blood corpuscles（hRBC）.Results:Extracts of *** and *** gave 80%and 90%protection to mice treated with minimum lethal dose of venom(LD99).These two plants showed significant neutralization effect against the venoms of Naja nigricollis venom.h. javanica and ***（25-100 mg/ml.） produced significant changes of membrane stabilization of human red blood cells（hRBC） exposed to hyposaline-induced ***:We conclude that probably due to presence of various phytochemicals plays an important role in the anti-venom potential of these Indian medicinal plants against Naja nigricollis *** above observations confirmed ***,G,*** and *** plant extracts possess potent snake venom neutralizing capacity and could potentially be used as an adjuvants for antivenin therapy in case of snakebite *** against the local effects of cobra venoms.
