A controlled.laboratory stud. was cond.cted.to measure the d.spersion effectiveness of Corexit 9500 on 23 d.fferent crud. oils. This stud. was a part of a larger project initiated.by the Bureau of Safety and.Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) testing 20 oils to compare the pred.ctive value of laboratory d.spersant effectiveness tests with their larger scale test cond.cted.at Ohmsett, BSEE’s national oil spill response test facility located.in Leonard., NJ. The test used.in this stud. was the Baffled.Flask Test (BFT), which is planned.for ad.ption as EPA’s official testing protocol for listing commercial d.spersant prod.cts on the National Contingency Plan Prod.ct Sched.le, replacing the current Swirling Flask Test (SFT) [1]. In ad.ition, the results of 3 ad.itional oils, the 2 used.in the SFT and.BFT as currently written plus another reference oil, are presented. The temperature used.for the tests was 15°C, to match the temperature used.at Ohmsett. The d.spersion effectiveness ranged.from 3.4% to 93%. The BFT is a laboratory test with results that are inversely correlated.with oil viscosity and.therefore has pred.ctive value in the d.cision to use a d.spersant in the event of a spill.

目的:评估接受局部眼内压(IOP)降低治疗患者的药物依从性,并确定接受青光眼专家治疗的患者与接受普通眼科医生随访患者之间的药物依从性是否存在差异及导致依从性差的多个障碍。方法:横断面调查研究。纳入2020-10/2021-02共54名患者行局部降眼压药物,且受试者完成了一份定制调查问卷,评估药物依从性及其障碍。结果:约60%受试者未完全依从局部治疗。Pearson检验表明,依从性与是否接受青光眼专家的随访之间无显著关联(χ^(2)=1.2468,P=0.5361)。其次,43%的受试者排斥滴眼液,Logistic回归分析显示,受试者表现出低依从性(β_(1)=3.168,P=0.0367)。结论:问卷可有效评估对局部降IOP治疗的药物依从性及其障碍。本研究药物依从率非常低,因此必须实施策略应对影响依从性最常见的障碍。

This stud. was aimed.to investigate the effects of hyd.othermal aging, propene and.SO2 poisoning on the ammonia-selective catalytic red.ction (NH3-SCR) performance of both Cu-SAPO-34 and.Cu-ZSM-5. The catalytic activities of fresh, aged.and.poisoned.samples were tested.in ammonia-selective catalytic red.ction (NH3-SCR) of NOx cond.tions. The XRd. TG and.N2-d.sorption results showed.that the structures of the Cu-SAPO-34 and.Cu-ZSM-5 remained.intact after 750˚C hyd.othermally aged. SO2 and.propene poisoned. After hyd.othermal aging at 750˚C for 12 h, the NO red.ction performance of Cu-ZSM-5 was significantly red.ced.at lower temperatures, while that of Cu-SAPO-34 was less affected. Moreover, Cu-SAPO-34 catalyst showed.high NO conversion with SO2 or propene compared.to Cu-ZSM-5. However, Cu-ZSM-5 showed.a larger d.op in catalytic activity with SO2 or propene compared.to Cu-SAPO-34 catalyst. The H2-TPR results showed.that Cu2 ions could.be red.ced.to Cu and.Cu0 for Cu-ZSM-5, while no significant transformation of copper species was observed.for Cu-SAPO-34. Meanwhile, the UV-vis d.S results showed.that CuO species were formed.in Cu-ZSM-5, while little changes were observed.for the Cu-SAPO-34. Cu-SAPO-34 showed.high sulfur and.hyd.ocarbon poison resistance compared.to Cu-ZSM-5. In summary, Cu-SAPO-34 with small-pore zeolite showed.higher hyd.othermal stability and.better hyd.ocarbon and.sulfur poison resistant than Cu-ZSM-5 with med.um-pore.

Ammoniated.bagasse is a plant-d.rived.organic sorbent that can be used.for capturing oil and.for supplying slow-release nutrients to oil-d.grad.ng microorganisms. We investigated.the oil-wicking behavior of this sorbent und.r various cond.tions for its effectiveness in remed.ating oil-contaminated.wetland.. Abiotic microcosms simulating a wetland.environment were used.to assess the influence of sand.particle sizes （20x30 and.60x80 U.S. mesh）, d.grees of oil saturation （25% and.75%）, water table levels （on top of the clean sand.layer, oiled.sand.layer, and.sorbent layer）, and.the presence of sorbent. Results ind.cated.that oil wicking favors higher oil contamination, larger sand.particle size, and.low water coverage. Water coverage was the pred.minant factor limiting the effectiveness of sorbent. The most plausible explanation for this limitation was that sorbent captured.more water than oil at higher water coverage.

Cancer is one of the d.ad.iest d.seases in d.veloping countries. In recent years, natural plant-based.compound. have been used.in the search for d.ugs to combat numerous d.seases, includ.ng cancer. In this stud., we evaluate the cytotoxic properties of paanfo tiben 1 and.paanfo tiben 2, two trad.tional herbal formulations from Burkina Faso used.in the treatment of cancer in Burkina Faso. To this end. the recipes were infused.and.freeze-d.ied. The d.y extracts obtained.were used.to d.termine total phenolics and.flavonoid. content, assess antioxid.nt activity using the d.PH, ABTS and.FRAP method., evaluate anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting 15-LOX, COX 1 and.2, and.assess cytotoxic activity on HeLa cervical cancer and.HePG2 liver cancer cell lines using the MTT test. The paanfo tiben 1 recipe showed.the highest levels of total phenolics and.flavonoid., as well as the best antioxid.nt activities, with IC50 values of 21.020 ± 0.6 µg/ml and.22.94 ± 0.57 µg/ml for d.PH and.ABTS, and.165.15 mM EAA/mg d.y extract for FRAP. It also exhibited.the best cytotoxic activity with IC50 values of 112.02 ± 0.025 µg/ml on HeLa cells and.80.67 ± 6.08 µg/ml on HepG2 cells. On the other hand. paanfo tiben 2 exhibited.the best anti-inflammatory activities through inhibition of 15-LOX and.COX 1, with inhibition percentages at 100 µg/ml of 32.523% and.24.717 % respectively. These results could.justify the trad.tional use of these two recipes by trad.tional health practitioners in the treatment of cancer sufferers in Burkina Faso.

Introd.ction: The occurrence of pregnancy in women is a risky situation. Prenatal care is necessary, which is not often the case in our context. Aim: To analyze the influence of antenatal surveillance on maternal and.perinatal prognosis. Patients and.Method. Preliminary longitud.nal and.analytical survey at the Owend. University Hospital (OHU) over 6 months. It focused.on prenatal surveillance. The stud. population consisted.of parturients who gave birth within 24 hours and.we stud.ed.sociod.mographic characteristics, variables related.to antenatal contact, those of d.livery as well as maternal and.newborn outcomes. Results: 2485 d.liveries were record.d.and.1300 patients were retained.accord.ng to the inclusion criteria. No prenatal contact (ANC0) was performed.in 93 (7.15%), insufficient (ANCI) in 943 patients (72.5%), and.sufficient (ANCS) in 264 patients (20.30%). Patients with low school level were significantly found.when the NPC was not performed.or insufficient and.the same was true for the group of patients who were not employed.and.those who were single (p d.perinatal mortality are high in this case. Conclusion: The quality of prenatal contact is insufficient in our context. The absence or inad.quacy of the latter has a strong negative impact on maternal and.perinatal morbid.ty and.mortality.
