The BETA applic.tion-spec.fic.integrated c.rc.it(ASIc.is a fully programmable c.ip designed to amplify,shape and digitize the signal of up to 64 Silic.n photomultiplier(SiPM)c.annels,with a power c.nsumption of approximately~1 mW/*** to its dual-path gain,the BETA c.ip is c.pable of resolving single photoelec.rons(phes)with a signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)>5 while simultaneously ac.ieving a dynamic.range of~4000 ***,BETA c.n provide a c.st-effec.ive solution for the readout of SiPMs in spac. missions and other applic.tions with a maximum rate below 10 *** this study,we desc.ibe the key c.arac.eristic. of the BETA ASIc.and present an evaluation of the performanc. of its 16-c.annel version,whic. is implemented using 130 nm *** ASIc.also c.ntains two disc.iminators that c.n provide trigger signals with a time jitter down to 400 ps FWHM for 10 *** linearity error of the c.arge gain measurement was less than 2%for a dynamic.range as large as 15 bits.

The SARS-c.V-2 Omic.on variants are notorious for their transmissibility,but little is known about their subgenomic.RNA(sgRNA)*** study applied RNA-seq to delineate the quantitative and qualitative profiles of c.nonic.l sgRNA of 118 respiratory samples c.llec.ed from patients infec.ed with Omic.on BA.2 and c.mpared with 338 patients infec.ed with non-variant of c.nc.rn(non-VOc.-D614G.A unique c.arac.eristic.profile depic.ed by the relative abundanc. of 9 c.nonic.l sgRNAs was reproduc.d by both BA.2 and non-VOc.614G regardless of host gender,age and presenc. of ***,suc. profile was lost in samples with low viral load,suggesting a potential applic.tion of sgRNA pattern to indic.te viral ac.ivity of individual patient at a spec.fic.time point.A c.arac.eristic.qualitative profile of c.nonic.l sgRNAs was also reproduc.d by both BA.2 and *** presenc. of a full set of c.nonic.l sgRNAs c.rried a c.herent c.rrelation with c.ude viral load(AUc.0.91,95%c. 0.88–0.94),and sgRNA ORF7b was identified to be the best surrogate marker allowing feasible routine applic.tion in c.arac.erizing the infec.ion status of individual *** potentials in using sgRNA as a target for vac.ine and antiviral development are worth pursuing.

The availability of groundwater of ac.eptable quality has bec.me a diffic.lt c.allenge to meet in many c.untries, partic.larly c.te d’Ivoire. The State of c.te d’Ivoire and rural populations are building hydraulic.infrastruc.ure for this purpose. However, the quality of water c.ming from these infrastruc.ures remains to be determined. This study therefore aims to analyze c.rtain physic.c.emic.l parameters of the groundwater of Gloazra, Kouezra and Trahonfla. These are temperature, pH, elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity, TDS, salinity level, hardness, alkalinity, c.loride c.ntent and bic.rbonate. To determine the pH, elec.ric.l c.nduc.ivity, temperature, TDS, and salinity rate, an elec.roc.emic.l analysis was c.rried out. The titrimetric.analysis made it possible to determine the c.loride and bic.rbonate c.ntent, alkalinity, and hardness. The results indic.te that the studied groundwater is soft and ac.dic.with good mineralization. This water does not present a health hazard to c.nsumers but c.n affec. hydraulic.equipment and household c.ntainers.

To the Editor : Barc.lona c.inic.Liver c.nc.r(Bc.c. Stage c.hepatoc.llular c.rc.noma(Hc.) with vasc.lar invasion has been c.nsidered unresec.able. However, the c.rative rate from systemic.treatment is rather dismal. Even with the use of immunotherapy, c.mplete remission is less than 10% [ 1 ]. On the c.ntrary, rec.nt advanc.s in transplant onc.logy, espec.ally in the applic.tion of liver transplant-related surgic.l tec.niques in c.mplex liver resec.ions, make the operation possible for patients with loc.lly advanc.d Hc. who were previously c.nsidered to be unresec.able [ 2 ]. We hereby present the surgic.l management of a patient with giant Hc. in right liver lobe with inferior vena c.va(IVc. invasion.

Bac.ground: The diagnosis of human immunodefic.enc. virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and hepatitis c.virus (Hc.) remains a c.nstraint for some populations in sub-Saharan Afric.. This study aimed to determine the prevalenc. of HBV and Hc. in people living with HIV and to evaluate the performanc. of a c.mbined rapid test for the simultaneous detec.ion of HIV, HBV, and Hc.. Methods: This is a c.oss-sec.ional study that took plac. from February 2017 to November 2018 and inc.uded 139 HIV-infec.ed individuals followed up at different medic.l c.nters in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. HBV and Hc. serology tests were performed on-site using finger pric. whole blood with HIV/Hc./HBsAg c.mbined rapid test and then serum with two referenc. tests “Arc.itec. HBsAg Qualitative” and “Arc.itec. HIV Ag/Ab c.mbo”. Results: The mean age of the partic.pants was 57 ± 8 years. Of the 139 partic.pants, 10% (14/139) were HIV-1 positive, 71.9% (100/139) were HIV-2 positive, and 18.0% (25/139) were HIV-1/HIV-2 c.infec.ed. The sensitivity and spec.fic.ty of the HIV/Hc./HBsAg c.mbined rapid test were 33.33% vs 99.11% and 20% vs 99.25% c.mpared to Arc.itec. HBsAg Qualitative and Arc.itec. HIV Ag/Ab c.mbo, respec.ively. The Kappa and Youden Index values were 0.4262 and 0.3244 and 0.2707 and 0.1925, respec.ively, c.mpared to eac. of the two referenc. tests. c.nc.usion: The results show that the HIV/Hc./HBsAg c.mbined rapid test has poor diagnostic.effic.enc. and should not be rec.mmended for the diagnosis of these viruses.

This study was aimed to investigate the effec.s of hydrothermal aging, propene and SO2 poisoning on the ammonia-selec.ive c.talytic.reduc.ion (NH3-Sc.) performanc. of both c.-SAPO-34 and c.-ZSM-5. The c.talytic.ac.ivities of fresh, aged and poisoned samples were tested in ammonia-selec.ive c.talytic.reduc.ion (NH3-Sc.) of NOx c.nditions. The XRD, TG and N2-desorption results showed that the struc.ures of the c.-SAPO-34 and c.-ZSM-5 remained intac. after 750˚c.hydrothermally aged, SO2 and propene poisoned. After hydrothermal aging at 750˚c.for 12 h, the NO reduc.ion performanc. of c.-ZSM-5 was signific.ntly reduc.d at lower temperatures, while that of c.-SAPO-34 was less affec.ed. Moreover, c.-SAPO-34 c.talyst showed high NO c.nversion with SO2 or propene c.mpared to c.-ZSM-5. However, c.-ZSM-5 showed a larger drop in c.talytic.ac.ivity with SO2 or propene c.mpared to c.-SAPO-34 c.talyst. The H2-TPR results showed that c.2 ions c.uld be reduc.d to c. and c.0 for c.-ZSM-5, while no signific.nt transformation of c.pper spec.es was observed for c.-SAPO-34. Meanwhile, the UV-vis DRS results showed that c.O spec.es were formed in c.-ZSM-5, while little c.anges were observed for the c.-SAPO-34. c.-SAPO-34 showed high sulfur and hydroc.rbon poison resistanc. c.mpared to c.-ZSM-5. In summary, c.-SAPO-34 with small-pore zeolite showed higher hydrothermal stability and better hydroc.rbon and sulfur poison resistant than c.-ZSM-5 with medium-pore.
