Introduction Recurrent complex visual hallucinations are a core clinical feature of dementia with lewy bodies(DlB)and are typically well-formed,often consisting of figures,such as people or animals(1)Despite the profound impact upon patients and caregivers in DlB,the aetiopathology of visual hallucinations remains largely *** this article we discuss the anatomy of the human visual system,hypotheses of the genesis of visual hallucinations in DlB,and imaging and neuropathological studies that have attempted to understand visual hallucinations on a functional and anatomical basis.

Endoscopes are an important component for the development of minimally invasive *** size is one of the most critical aspects,because smaller and less rigid endoscopes enable higher agility,facilitate larger accessibility,and induce less stress on the surrounding *** all existing endoscopes,the size of the optics poses a major limitation in miniaturization of the imaging *** only is making small optics difficult,but their performance also degrades with ***-optics have recently emerged as a promising candidate to drastically miniaturize optics while achieving similar functionalities with significantly reduced ***,we report an inverse-designed meta-optic,which combined with a coherent fiber bundle enables a 33%reduction in the rigid tip length over traditional gradient-index(GRIN)*** use the meta-optic fiber endoscope(MOFIE)to demonstrate real-time video capture in full visible color,the spatial resolution of which is primarily limited by the fiber *** work shows the potential of meta-optics for integration and miniaturization of biomedical devices towards minimally invasive surgery.

Article 59.1,of the International Code of Nomenclature for Algae,Fungi,and Plants(ICN;Melbourne Code),which addresses the nomenclature of pleomorphic fungi,became effective from 30 july *** that date,each fungal species can have one nomenclaturally correct name in a particular *** other previously used names for this species will be considered as *** older generic epithet takes priority over the younger *** widely used younger names proposed for use,must comply with Art.57.2 and their usage should be approved by the Nomenclature Committee for Fungi(NCF).In this paper,we list all genera currently accepted by us in Dothideomycetes(belonging to 23 orders and 110 families),including pleomorphic and nonpleomorphic *** the case of pleomorphic genera,we follow the rulings of the current ICN and propose single generic names for future *** taxonomic placements of 1261 genera are listed as an *** names and suppressed names for 34 pleomorphic genera are listed *** and justifications are provided for possible proposed names after the list of *** are also provided on recent advances in our understanding of asexual and sexual morph linkages in Dothideomycetes.A phylogenetic tree based on four gene analyses supported 23 orders and 75 families,while 35 families still lack molecular data.

Schistosomiasis,one of the 17 neglected tropical diseases listed by the World Health Organization,presents a substantial public health and economic *** the 261 million people requiring preventive chemotherapy for schistosomiasis in 2013,92%of them lived in sub-Saharan Africa and only 12.7%received preventive ***,in 2010,the WHO reported that schistosomiasis mortality could be as high as 280000 per year in Africa *** May 2012 delegates to the sixty-fifth World Health Assembly adopted resolution WHA65.21 that called for the elimination of schistosomiasis,and foresees the regular treatment of at least 75%of school age children in at-risk *** resolution urged member states to intensify schistosomiasis control programmes and to initiate elimination campaigns where *** this,in june 2015,schistosomiasis was indicated to have the lowest level of preventive chemotherapy implementation in the spectrum of neglected tropical *** was also highlighted as the disease most lacking in *** is perhaps unsurprising,given that it was also the only NTD with access to drug donations but without a coalition of stakeholders that collaborates to boost commitment and *** a consequence,and to ensure that the WHO NTDs Roadmap Targets of 2012 and World Health Assembly Resolution WHA65.21 are met,the Global Schistosomiasis Alliance(GSA)has been set *** and representative,the GSA aims to be a partnership of endemic countries,academic and research institutions,international development agencies and foundations,international organizations,non-governmental development organizations,private sector companies and advocacy and resource mobilisation ***,the GSA calls for a partnership to work for the benefit of endemic countries by addressing health inequity and rural poverty.

linked to major volcanic eruptions around 536 and 540 CE, the onset of the late Antique little Ice Age has been described as the coldest period of the past two millennia. The exact timing and spatial extent of this exceptional cold phase are, however, still under debate because of the limited resolution and geographical distribution of the available proxy archives. Here, we use 106 wood anatomical thin sections from 23forest sites and 20 tree species in both hemispheres to search for cell-level fingerprints of ephemeral summer cooling between 530 and 550 CE. After cross-dating and double-staining, we identified 89Blue Rings(lack of cell wall lignification), nine Frost Rings(cell deformation and collapse), and 93light Rings(reduced cell wall thickening) in the Northern Hemisphere. Our network reveals evidence for the strongest temperature depression between mid-july and early-August 536 CE across North America and Eurasia, whereas more localised cold spells occurred in the summers of 532, 540–43, and548 CE. The lack of anatomical signatures in the austral trees suggests limited incursion of stratospheric volcanic aerosol into the Southern Hemisphere extra-tropics, that any forcing was mitigated by atmosphere-ocean dynamical responses and/or concentrated outside the growing season, or a combination of factors. Our findings demonstrate the advantage of wood anatomical investigations over traditional dendrochronological measurements, provide a benchmark for Earth system models, support cross-disciplinary studies into the entanglements of climate and history, and question the relevance of global climate averages.
