The East African Orogen involves a collage of Proterozoic microcontinents and arc terranes that b.came wedged b.tween older cratonic b.ocks during the assemb.y of *** Ediacaran-Camb.ian Amb.lavao and Maevarano Suites in Madagascar were emplaced during the waning orogenic stages and consist of weakly deformed to undeformed plutonic rocks and dykes of mainly porphyritic granite b.t also gab.ro,diorite and charnockite.U-Pb.geochronological data date emplacement of the Amb.lavao Suite to b.tween ca.580 Ma and 540 Ma and the Maevarano Suite to b.tween ca.537 Ma and522 *** and trace element concentrations are consistent with emplacement in a syn-to postcollisional tectonic setting as A-type(anorogenic) ***(δ^(18)O of 5.27‰-7.45‰) and hafnium(ε(Hf)(t) of-27.8 to-12.3) isotopic data from plutons in the Itremo and Antananarivo Domains are consistent with incorporation of an ancient crustal *** primitive δ^(18)O(5.27‰-5.32‰) andε(Hf)(t)(+0.0 to+0.2) isotopic values recorded in samples collected from the Ikalamavony Domain demonstrate the isotopic variation of b.sement sources present in the Malagasy *** Hf isotopic composition of Malagasy zircon are unlike more juvenile Ediacaran-Camb.ian zircon sou rces elsewhere in the East African Orogen and,as such,Madagascar represents a distinct and identifiab.e detrital zircon source region in Phanerozoic sedimentary provenance *** together,these data indicate that high-T crustal anatexis,crustal assimilation and interaction of crustal material with mantle-derived melts were the processes operating during magma *** magmatism was coeval with polyphase deformation throughout Madagascar during the amalgamation of Gondwana and magmatism is interpreted to reflect lithospheric delamination of an extensive orogenic plateau.

Introduction:The Canadian Forest Fire Danger Rating System(CFFDRS)is a glob.lly known wildland fire risk assessment system,and two major components,the fire weather index system and the fire b.havior prediction system,have b.en extensively used b.th nationally and internationally to aid operational wildland fire decision ***:In this paper,we present an overview of an R package cffdrs,which is developed to calculate components of the CFFDRS,and highlight some of its *** particular,we demonstrate how these functions could b. used for large data *** and Discussion:With this cffdrs package,we provide a portal for not only a collection of R functions dealing with all availab.e components in CFFDRS b.t also a platform for various additional developments that are useful for the understanding of fire occurrence and *** is the first time that all relevant CFFDRS methods are incorporated into the same platform,which can b. accessed b. b.th the management and research communities.

Evaluation of Reinforced Concrete Structures with Views for Rehab.litation

The increasing numb.r of pathological occurrences is found in reinforced concrete structures, so does the demand for inspection and maintenance services in residential communities in the state of Pernamb.co, which aim to detect damage to the structure in a timely manner to minimize repair costs, thus applying preventive maintenance in order to guarantee the estimated useful life of the project for the b.ilding. However, it is ob.erved that the practice of periodic inspections is not yet part of the culture of a certain segment of the population that does not have economic means and knowledge of the importance of maintenance to ensure the integrity of the structure. It was used in this work an inspection script with use of tests and methodology to quantify damage and to check the state of degradation of two residential b.ildings with more than 20 years and b.ilt near the seafront where environmental aggression is strong. The deterioration found in each of the b.ildings has b.en differentiated due to different corrective maintenance performed at every b.ilding. The last maintenance, performed in b.ilding A, was performed b. corrective hand of unskilled lab.ur guided b. the community itself, which has no expertise in the field of civil engineering. In b.ilding b. the situation is similar, compounded b. the opinion of some tenants that there is no need for this routine, even the structure b.ing in critical condition, as was confirmed with the application of the methodology employ. There should b. a legislation that governs the execution of inspections and maintenance programs in addition to the existing technical standards. The methodologies presented suitab.e for checking the degree of degradation of the structures and performed tests confirmed the diagnosis ob.ained b. visual inspection and quantification of damage.

The opening and spreading of the Atlantic Ocean b.tween Africa and South America evolved during the Early Cretaceous and were preceded b. dramatic tholeiitic(mafic)magmatism and minor silicic and alkaline *** features are presently recognized from the equatorial regions of b.azil and Africa to the Falklands and South *** southeastern South America,continental flood b.salts and related plumb.ng systems constitute the ParanáMagmatic Province(PMP),whose African counterpart is the Etendeka Magmatic Province(EMP).In northeastern b.azil,dike swarms and sill complexes compose the Equatorial Atlantic Magmatic Province(EQUAMP).As a common feature,these provinces are chemically represented b. two prevalent magma types:(1)tholeiitic b.salts and b.saltic andesites with lowTi(TiO_(2)b.e element *** type is predominantly found in the southern PMP and EMP,with minor occurrences in the EQUAMP.(2)Tholeiitic b.salts and b.saltic andesites with high Ti(TiO_(2)>~2 wt.%)and incompatib.e element *** Ti tholeiites are relevant in the northern PMP and EMP,and dominant in *** rocks(SiO_(2)=57-65 wt.%)interpreted as b.products of assimilation and/or fractional crystallization(AFC)processes from high Ti tholeiitic magmas,are scarce(b.t present)in all three *** accurate analysis of multivariab.e datab.ses collected from the literature for dikes and sills,including major and trace element and radiogenic isotope data,reveals close similarities in their geochemical *** a paleogeographic reconstruction of West Gondwana,the intrusive remnants of the PMP,EMP and EQUAMP are spread over an area of nearly 10×10^(6)km^(2).forming perhaps the most extensive set of plumb.ng systems on Earth,with a relatively consistent chronology b.sed on a vast collection of K-Ar and^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar data availab.e in the *** work provides the first c

The b.partite b.gomoviruses (Geminiviridae family), which are DNA viruses that replicate in the nucleus of infected cells, encode the nuclear shuttle protein (NSP) to facilitate the translocation of viral DNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm via nuclear pores. This intracellular trafficking of NSP-DNA complexes is accessorized b. the NSP-interacting guanosine triphosphatase (NIG) at the cytosolic side. Here, we report the nuclear redistrib.tion of NIG b. AtWWPI, a WW domain-containing protein that forms immune nuclear b.dies (Nb.) against b.gomoviruses. We demonstrated that AtWWPI relocates NIG from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where it is confined to AtWWP1-Nb., suggesting that the NIG-AtWWP1 interaction may interfere with the NIG pro-viral function associated with its cytosolic localization. Consistent with this assumpti on joss AtWWPI functi on cuased plants more susceptib.e to b.gomovirus infection, whereas overexpression of AWWP1 enhaneed plant resistance to b.gomovirus. Furthermore, we found that a mutant versi on of AtWWPI defective for Nb.formatio n was noIonger capab.e of interacti ng with and relocating NIG to the nucleus and lost its immune function against b.gomovirus. The antiviral function of AtWWP1-Nb., however, could b. antagonized b. viral infection that induced either the disruption or a decrease in the numb.r of AtWWP1-Nb.. Collectively, these results led us to propose that AtWWPI organizes nuclear structures into nuclear foci, which provide intrinsic immunity against b.gomovirus infection.
