Periarticular reconstruction of appendicular bones in skeletally immature patients after tumor resection is a surgical challenge that requires a multidisciplinary approach. The authors present a case of Ewing sarcoma of the proximal femur in an 8-year old girl treated with wide resection of the primary tumor and reconstruction using a vascularized fibula epiphyseal autograft within a cadaveric femoral allograft. The native femoral head was preserved to restore articular anatomy. Postoperative course was without complications. This report demonstrates the use of a vascularized fibula autograft within a cadaveric femoral allograft to optimize growth potential and joint durability in a pediatric patient.

A 41-year old alchoholic male with a history of chronic pancreatitis was admitted for nausea, vomiting and weight loss. Angiogram was performed and demonstrated an aneurysmal sac with a narrow neck originating from the inferior aspect of the distal portion of the proper hepatic artery. The origin of the pseudoaneurysm was covered with a 5 mm × 2.5 cm Viabahn cover stent （Gore）. A repeat angiogram showed some leak and a second stent （6 mm × 2.3 cm） was deployed and overlapped with the first stent by 3 mm. Contrast was injected and a repeat angiogram demonstrated complete exclusion of the aneurysm. A repeat computerized axial tomography （CAT） scan of the abdomen after 24 h showed successful stenting. The patient had an uneventful post-operative course.

Background:Extrahepatic body fat could be a relevant factor affecting liver regeneration after partial *** aim of this study was to evaluate the potential role of body fatty tissue in liver regeneration capacity after liver resection in a cohort of living ***:We observed liver regeneration in 120 patients:70 living donors who underwent right hepatectomy and 50 recipients who got a right graft *** volumetry and body fat analysis were performed based on the computed tomography images with volumetry *** gain of liver volume was calculated between three points in time considering the absolute and percentage values:before surgery and early(median 10 days,range 4-21 days)and late(median 27 weeks,range 18-40 weeks)after ***’s correlation was used to examine the potential correlation between adipose tissue and liver ***:Pearson’s correlation showed a significant correlation between the subcutaneous fat mass index(sFMI)and early(r=0.173,P=0.030),as well late(r=0.395,P=0.0004)percental liver volume gain in the whole *** stratification in donor’s and recipient’s collectives,the effect of extrahepatic adipose tissue appears in multiple regression only in the donor’s collective:early(β=0.219,T=2.137,P=0.036)and late(β=0.390,T=2.552,P=0.015)percental volume ***:Subcutaneous adipose tissue is a positive predictive factor to estimate the goodness of liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy in normosthenic donors.

In the present study we have formulated a Minimum Cross Fuzzy Entropy Problem （Minx（F）EntP） and proposed sufficient conditions for existence of its solution. Mentioned problem can be formulated as follows. In the set of membership functions satisfying the given moment constraints generated by given moment functions it is required to choose the membership function that is closest to a priori membership function in the sense of cross fuzzy entropy measure. The existence of solution of formulated problem is proved by virtue of concavity property of cross fuzzy entropy measure, the implicit function theorem and Lagrange multipliers method. Moreover, Generalized Cross Fuzzy Entropy Optimization Methods in the form of MinMinx（F）EntM and MaxMinx（F）EntM are suggested on the basis of primary phase of minimizing cross fuzzy entropy measure for fixed moment vector function and on the definition of the special functional with Minx（F）Ent values of cross fuzzy entropy measure. Next phase for obtaining mentioned distributions consists of optimization of defined functional with respect to moment vector functions. Distributions obtained by mentioned methods are defined as （MinMinx（F）Ent）m and （MaxMinx（F）Ent）m distributions.

In this study, by starting from Maximum entropy (MaxEnt) distribution of time series, we introduce a measure that quantifies information worth of a set of autocovariances. The information worth of autocovariences is measured in terms of entropy difference of MaxEnt distributions subject to different autocovariance sets due to the fact that the information discrepancy between two distributions is measured in terms of their entropy difference in MaxEnt modeling. However, MinMaxEnt distributions (models) are obtained on the basis of MaxEnt distributions dependent on parameters according to autocovariances for time series. This distribution is the one which has minimum entropy and maximum information out of all MaxEnt distributions for family of time series constructed by considering one or several values as parameters. Furthermore, it is shown that as the number of autocovariances increases, the entropy of approximating distribution goes on decreasing. In addition, it is proved that information worth of each model defined on the basis of MinMaxEnt modeling about stationary time series is equal to sum of all possible information increments corresponding to each model with respect to preceding model starting with first model in the sequence of models. The fulfillment of obtained results is demonstrated on an example by using a program written in Matlab.

Bayesianism is a theory of probabilistic reasoning that attempts to capture the logic of confirming and disconfirming hypotheses. I first argue that Bayesianism reveals striking parallels between structures universally held as paradigms of rational belief systems and structures typically considered clear examples of irrational belief systems. I next explain that the crucial difference between these two types of belief systems is found not inside the systems but outside them, in the dynamics, i.e., the attitudes, by which such systems are revised and maintained. The principal attitude that distinguishes these belief systems is ＂open-mindedness.＂ I conclude that rationality and irrationality are primarily properties of attitudes, and derivatively of persons （who exhibit such attitudes） and of beliefs （that are maintained by such attitudes）. It turns out then that, on the one hand, the Bayesian approach reveals important truths about the nature of rationality and irrationality, but, on the other hand, it is inadequate as a theory of rationality, since it leaves some aspects of rationality and irrationality unaccounted for. The Bayesian analysis on the basis of which these conclusions are reached arises from a careful examination of the Duhem problem, which is the problem of determining the disconfirmation impact on the plausibility of hypotheses collectively responsible for a false observational consequence.

The effect of tehina processing and storage during six months at 25℃and 35℃on total phenolics,antioxidant activity,anthocyanins,and fatty acid analysis was *** processing,storage period and temperature significantly(p≤0.05)decreased total phenolics,antioxidant activity and anthocyanins *** results showed that raw sesame seeds had the highest total phenolics(99.98 mg GAE/100 g)and lower levels were found in dehulled unroasted sesame seeds,tehina at zero time and roasted sesame seeds(62.53,60.61 and 47.03 mg GAE/100 g,respectively).In addition,tehina during storage showed a significant decrease in total phenolics(60.61 to 42.45 mg GAE/100 g).Raw sesame seeds had the highest antioxidant activity(0.51 mg/mL),while the tehina,dehulled unroasted and roasted sesame had antioxidant activity values of 1.21,1.35 and 1.79 mg/mL,***,antioxidant activity of tehina at zero time was highest(1.21 mg/mL)and lowest was in tehina stored for six months(1.70 mg/mL).Sesame seeds and tehina had low levels of anthocyanins(1.26 and 0.50 mg cya-3-glu/100 g).Fatty acid analysis showed that sesame seeds(raw,dehulled unroasted and roasted)and tehina samples contain high percent of unsaturated fatty acid oleic(C18:1)and linoleic(C18:2).

This study is connected with new Generalized Maximum Fuzzy Entropy Methods （GMax（F）EntM） in the form of MinMax（F）EntM and MaxMax（F）EntM belonging to us. These methods are based on primary maximizing Max（F）Ent measure for fixed moment vector function in order to obtain the special functional with maximum values of Max（F）Ent measure and secondary optimization of mentioned functional with respect to moment vector functions. Distributions, in other words sets of successive values of estimated membership function closest to （furthest from） the given membership function in the sense of Max（F）Ent measure, obtained by mentioned methods are defined as （MinMax（F）Ent）m which is closest to a given membership function and （MaxMax（F）Ent）m which is furthest from a given membership function. The aim of this study consists of applying MinMax（F）EntM and MaxMax（F）EntM on given wind speed data. Obtained results are realized by using MATLAB programme. The performances of distributions （MinMax（F）En0m and （MaxMax（F）Ent）m generated by using Generalized Maximum Fuzzy Entropy Methods are established by Chi-Square, Root Mean Square Error criterias and Max（F）Ent measure.

In this paper, survival data analysis is realized by applying Generalized Entropy Optimization Methods (GEOM). It is known that all statistical distributions can be obtained as distribution by choosing corresponding moment functions. However, Generalized Entropy Optimization Distributions (GEOD) in the form of distributions which are obtained on basis of Shannon measure and supplementary optimization with respect to characterizing moment functions, more exactly represent the given statistical data. For this reason, survival data analysis by GEOD acquires a new significance. In this research, the data of the life table for engine failure data (1980) is examined. The performances of GEOD are established by Chi-Square criteria, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) criteria and Shannon entropy measure, Kullback-Leibler measure. Comparison of GEOD with each other in the different senses shows that along of these distributions (MinMaxEnt)4 is better in the senses of Shannon measure and of Kullback-Leibler measure. It is showed that, (MinMaxEnt)3 ((MaxMaxEnt)4) is more suitable for statistical data among (MinMaxEnt)m,m=1,2,3,4(MaxMaxEnt)m,m=1,2,3,4. Moreover, (MinMaxEnt)3 is better for statistical data than (MaxMaxEnt)4 in the sense of RMSE criteria. According to obtained distribution (MinMaxEnt)3 (MaxMaxEnt)4 estimator of Probability Density Function?f^?(t), Cumulative Distribution Functio?F^ (t) , Survival Function Ŝ(t) and Hazard Rate ĥ(t) are evaluated and graphically illustrated. The results are acquired by using statistical software MATLAB.
