Anisotropic alignments of hierarchical Li2SiO3/TiO2@nano-C anode//LiMnPO4@nano-C cathode architectures for full-cell lithium-ion battery

We report on low-cost fabrication and high-energy density of full-cell lithium-ion battery (LIB) ***-hierarchical electrode architectures of Li2SiO3/TiO2@nano-carbon anode (***@nano-C) and high-voltage olivine LiMnPO4@nano-carbon cathode (LMPO@nano-C) are designed for half-and full-system LIB-CR2032 coin cell *** the basis of primary architecture-power-driven LIB geometrics,the structure keys including three-dimensional (3D) modeling superhierarchy,multiscale micro/nano architectures and anisotropic surface heterogeneity affect the buildup design of anode/cathode LIB *** hierarchical electrode surface topologies enable continuous in-/out-flow rates and fast transport pathways of Li+-ions during charge/discharge *** stacked layer configurations of pouch LIB-types lead to excellent charge/discharge rate,and energy density of237.6 Wh *** the most promising LIB-configurations,the high specific energy density of hierarchical pouch battery systems may improve energy storage for long-driving range of electric ***,the anisotropic alignments of hierarchical electrode architectures in the large-scale LIBs provide proof of excellent capacity storage and outstanding durability and *** full-system LIB-CR2032 coin cell models maintain high specific capacity of～89.8%within a long-term life period of2000 cycles,and average Coulombic efficiency of99.8%at 1C rate for future configuration of LIB manufacturing and commercialization challenges.

Porosity enhancement potential through dolomitization of carbonate reservoirs, a case of study from the Euphrates Graben fields, East Syria

The dolostones and dolomitic limestones of the lower Cretaceous Judea formation are a key target ofhydrocarbons in most of the Euphrates Graben fields. Core materials investigation, thin sections petrographicallyexaminations, and petrophysical evaluations were obtained to determine enhancement ofthe porosity through dolomitization. Results showed that the lagoon-shallow marine carbonates of theJudea formation are subdivided into two main zones;the upper “limestone zone” is micritic limestonesdominated with no reservoir potential, and the lower “dolomite zone” is dolomitic limestones anddolostones dominated with good to very good reservoir potential. Dolomitization of the mudstones andwackestones of the micritic limestones resulted in formation of microcrystalline dolomicrite and earlyfabric destructive dolomites. Conversely, dolomitization of the packstones and grainstones resulted information of the fabric destructive and saddle dolomites. Based on petrography data, dolomitization ofthe “limestone zone” is interpreted by the seawater dolomitization mechanism at low-temperatures,while dolomitization of the “dolomite zone” is interpreted by the burial dolomitization mechanismunder high temperature and pressure conditions. The “limestone zone” is characterized by the poorestreservoir quality, while the “dolomite zone” is characterized by the best reservoir quality. The seawaterdolomitization did not significantly enhance the porosity, while the burial dolomitization contributes toenhancing the preserved secondary porosity. Stylolites microfractures and dissolution seams associatedwith dolomitization played as major factors in porosity enhancement of the dolostones and dolomiticlimestones and serving as pathways for hydrocarbon migration. This study aims to evaluate the erosion behavior and the hardness of hybrid composites made of varying amounts of coconut shells,walnut shells,and carbonﬁbers dispersed in a polyester ***(L16)Taguchi experiments were used to determine the optimal combination of *** particular,an erosion device con-sisting of a motor with a constantﬂow rate of 45 L/min,a pump with a diameter of 40 mm,a nozzle with a dia-meter of 5 mm,and a tank made of“perspex glass”55 cm long,30 cm tall,and 25 cm wide was *** tests were conducted by varying the sample-to-nozzle distance,the pattern angle,and the sand particle *** results have revealed that the presence of 7.5%by weight of waste coconut shell,for conditions corresponding to 90°angle,sand size 425μm,stand distance 30 cm,gives the best wear resistance(3.04×10^(-5) g/g).Theﬁller content and sand particle size affect the erosive rate,with the angle playing a secondary *** distance between the sample and the nozzle has a weaker effect on erosive *** hardness results show that the models(UP-5%carbonﬁber-2.5-3.5-4.5-5.5-6.5-7.5 wt.%waste coconut shell)give the best values for prayer compared to the samples(UP-5 wt.%carbonﬁber-2.5-3.5-4.5-5.5-6.5-7.5 wt.%waste walnut shell).

Deep Fakes in Healthcare:How Deep Learning Can Help to Detect Forgeries

With the increasing use of deep learning technology,there is a growing concern over creating deep fake images and videos that can potentially be used for *** healthcare,manipulating medical images could lead to misdiagnosis and potentially life-threatening ***,the primary purpose of this study is to explore the use of deep learning algorithms to detect deep fake images by solving the problem of recognizing the handling of samples of cancer and other ***,this research proposes a framework that leverages state-of-the-art deep convolutional neural networks(CNN)and a large dataset of authentic and deep fake medical images to train a model capable of distinguishing between authentic and fake medical ***,the paper trained six CNN models,namely,ResNet101,ResNet50,DensNet121,DenseNet201,MobileNetV2,*** models had trained using 2000 samples over three classes:Untampered,False-Benign,and False-Malicious,and compared against several state-of-the-art deep fake detection *** proposed model enhanced ResNet101 by adding more layers,achieving a training accuracy of 99%.The findings of this study show near-perfect accuracy in detecting instances of tumor injections and removals.

Cyclic behavior of reinforced sand under principal stress rotation

Although the cyclic rotation of the principal stress direction is important,its effect on the deformation behavior and dynamic properties of the reinforced soil has not been reported to *** carried out on large-scale hollow cylinder samples reveal that the cyclic rotation of the principal stress direction results in significant variations of strain components(ε,ε,εand γ) with periodic characteristics despite the deviatoric stress being constant during *** oscillation can be related to the corresponding variations in the stress components and the anisotropic fabric that rotate continuously along the principal stress *** under rotation appears to develop a plastic *** trends are observed for reinforced sand,but the shear interaction,the interlocking between particles and reinforcement layer,and the confinement result in significant reductions in the induced strains and associated irrecoverable plastic *** of the strains occur in the first cycle,and as the number of cycles increases,the presence of strains becomes very small,which is almost *** indicates that the soil has reached anisotropic critical state(ACS),where a stable structure is formed after continuous orientation,realignment and rearrangement of the particles accompanied with increasing cyclic *** in the range of 60°-135° produces more induced strains even in the presence of the reinforcement,when compared with other *** relates to the extension mode of the test in this range in which σ>σand to the relative approach between the mobilized plane and the weakest horizontal *** results in an increase in shear modulus while it appears to have no effect on the damping *** cycles of rotation result in an increase in shear modulus and lower damping ratio due to the densification that causes a decrease in shear strain and less dissipation of energy.

Application of multi-criteria decision-making methods to identification of soil moisture monitoring sites in an urban catchment in South Australia

When choosing sites for monitoring of soil moisture for hydrological purposes,a suitable process that considers the factors influencing soil moisture level should be *** this study,two multi-criteria decision-making(MCDM)methods,the multi-influencing factor(MIF)method and the analytical hierarchy process(AHP)method,were used to identify the optimal soil moisture monitoring(SMM)sites in the Dry Creek Catchment in South *** most representative areas for nine SMM sites were obtained using the MIF method,considering the factors of rainfall,soil type,land use,catchment slope,elevation,and upslope accumulated area(UAA).The AHP method was used to select the optimal sites using the site-specific criteria.30.3%of the catchment area in the Australian Water Resources Assessment Landscape(AWRA-L)Grid_DC2 can be considered acceptable as representative area with the MIF *** potential sites were evaluated for each AWRA-L grid using the relative weights of the site-specific criteria with the AHP *** Grid_DC2 required two sites that had the highest overall weight chosen with the AHP *** procedure was repeated for the remaining four AWRA-L grids within the study area to select the required SMM sites.

The condition is usually seen at birth but can be identified *** presentation:A newborn was brought to the hospital after a normal non-complicated vaginal delivery done by the ambulance personnel. The newborn had a bulging mass on the posterior aspect of the head. Therefore, he was admitted and neurosurgical consultation was done for further evaluation. Lung cancer is the main cause of cancer related death owing to its destructive nature and postponed detection at advanced *** recognition of lung cancer is essential to increase the survival rate of persons and it remains a crucial problem in the healthcare *** aided diagnosis(CAD)models can be designed to effectually identify and classify the existence of lung cancer using medical *** recently developed deep learning(DL)models find a way for accurate lung nodule classification ***,this article presents a deer hunting optimization with deep convolutional neural network for lung cancer detection and classification(DHODCNNLCC)*** proposed DHODCNN-LCC technique initially undergoes pre-processing in two stages namely contrast enhancement and noise ***,the features extraction process on the pre-processed images takes place using the Nadam optimizer with RefineDet *** addition,denoising stacked autoencoder(DSAE)model is employed for lung nodule ***,the deer hunting optimization algorithm(DHOA)is utilized for optimal hyper parameter tuning of the DSAE model and thereby results in improved classification *** experimental validation of the DHODCNN-LCC technique was implemented against benchmark dataset and the outcomes are assessed under various *** experimental outcomes reported the superior outcomes of the DHODCNN-LCC technique over the recent approaches with respect to distinct measures.

Physical origin of observed nonlinearities in Poly(1-naphthyl methacrylate):Using a single transistor–transistor logic modulated laser beam

A thermal lens technique is adopted using a single modulated continuous wave （cw） 532-nm laser beam to evaluate the nonlinear refractive index n2, and the thermo-optic coefficient dn/dT, in polymer Poly （1-naphthyl methacrylate）（P-1-NM） dissolved in chloroform, tetrahydrofuran （THF）, and dimethyl sulfoxide （DMSO） solvents. The results are compared with Z-scan and diffraction ring techniques. The comparison reveals the effectiveness and the simplicity of the TTL modulation technique. The physical origin is discussed for the obtained results.
