Content-based medical image retrieval(CBmIR)is a technique for retrieving medical images based on automatically derived image *** are many applications of CBmIR,such as teaching,research,diagnosis and electronic patient *** methods are applied to enhance the retrieval performance of CBmIR *** new and effective similarity measure and features fusion methods are two of the most powerful and effective strategies for improving these *** study proposes the relative difference-based similarity measure(RDBSm)for *** new measure was first used in the similarity calculation stage for the CBmIR using an unweighted fusion method of traditional color and texture ***,the study also proposes a weighted fusion method for medical image features extracted using pre-trained convolutional neural networks(CNNs)*** proposed RDBSm has outperformed the standard well-known similarity and distance measures using two popular medical image datasets,Kvasir and PH2,in terms of recall and precision retrieval *** effectiveness and quality of our proposed similarity measure are also proved using a significant test and statistical confidence bound.

Face verification systems are critical in a wide range of applications,such as security systems and biometric ***,these systems are vulnerable to adversarial attacks,which can significantly compromise their accuracy and *** attacks are designed to deceive the face verification system by adding subtle perturbations to the input *** perturbations can be imperceptible to the human eye but can cause the systemtomisclassifyor fail torecognize thepersoninthe *** this issue,weproposeanovel system called VeriFace that comprises two defense mechanisms,adversarial detection,and adversarial *** first mechanism,adversarial detection,is designed to identify whether an input image has been subjected to adversarial *** second mechanism,adversarial removal,is designed to remove these perturbations from the input image to ensure the face verification system can accurately recognize the person in the *** evaluate the effectiveness of the VeriFace system,we conducted experiments on different types of adversarial attacks using the Labelled Faces in the Wild(LFW)*** results show that the VeriFace adversarial detector can accurately identify adversarial imageswith a high detection accuracy of 100%.Additionally,our proposedVeriFace adversarial removalmethod has a significantly lower attack success rate of 6.5%compared to state-of-the-art removalmethods.

Variations of the Ha line in the spectra of the star HD14134 are investigated using ob- servations carried out in 2013-2014 and in 2016 with the 2-m telescope at Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory. In the spectra of this star, the absorption and emission components of Hα are found to disappear and an inverse P Cyg profile of Ha is seen on some observational epochs. Our observations showed that when the Ha line disappeared or an inversion of the P-Cyg-type profile is observed in the spectra, the Hβ line is redshifted. When these events appeared, no synchronous variabilities were ob- served in the spectral parameters of other spectral lines formed in deeper atmospheric layers. In addition, the structures of Ha, CII （6578.05A, 6582.88A）, Sill （6347.1 A, 6371.36A） and Hβ lines are variable on a timescale of hours, but we did not detect significant variations in the other photospheric lines, as well as in the HeI （5875.72A） line. It is suggested that observational evidence for the non-stationary atmosphere of HD 14134 can be associated in part with non-spherical stellar wind.

magnesium powders were mechanically alloyed with SiO2 powder particles having different particle sizes using nigh-energy ball milling techniques under Ar atmosphere for 1 h. The powders were consolidated with cold pressing under 560 mPa. They were then sintered at 550℃ for 45 min under Ar atmosphere. The composites obtained on the mg-SiO2 system were investigated using the Archimedes principle, a differential scanning calorimeter, X-ray diffraction, optic microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. For the mechanically alloyed powders, the solid-state reaction of the synthesis of mg2Si and mgO progressed further during sintering of the materials. The results showed that the strengthening mechanisms were dependent on dispersion hardening of fine mg2Si and mgO particulates dispersed homogeneously in the matrix. mg-

Objective:To determine the prevalence and risk factors associated with drug resistant tuberculosis(TB) in South West ***:A retrospective study conducted among pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) patients from Oyo and Osun States in South West Nigeria who had their culture and drug susceptibility test performed at the institute of tropical medicine Antwerp, Belgium between 2007 and *** on the patient’s characteristics were retrieved from the TB treatment *** analysis was performed to assess the risk factors for drug resistant *** Level of significance was at Pmong the 88 patients who had drug-susceptibility test result,there were 50 males and 38 *** the 88 patients,55(62.5%) had strains resistant to at least one or more *** proportion of TB cases with resistance to a single drug was 12.7%.The multi-drug resistant TB(mDR-TB) rate was 76.4%.The only significant factor for the development of drug resistance and mDR was the history of previous anti TB treatment(PmDR-TB among the study *** of previous TB treatment was associated with *** is an urgent need to conduct a national TB drug resistance survey to determine the actual burden and risk factors associated with drug resistance TB in the country.

Diverse heritage architecture characterizes Port Said in Egypt,reflecting European and Arab *** Canal heritage villas comprise 25%of the total listed heritage buildings in the ***,it is important to retrofit them,aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).By reviewing the previous literature related to the green retrofitting of heritage buildings,the(3Ts)framework can be considered a holistic framework that covers the latest trends due to its three components:targets,tools,and tasks,which help the success of the process through a holistic vision of supporting building information modeling(BIm)technologies and organizing stakeholders’*** paper aims to apply the(3Ts)framework to Suez Canal heritage villas in Port Said,*** applied study is based on how stakeholders perceive their input and decision-making,measuring the climate parameters,proposing several green retrofits,and integrating them into green *** of scenarios is conducted by utilizing the Design Builder simulation ***,the Skelion plugin calculates the photovoltaic system’s(PVs)energy *** results indicated that the total energy savings could reach approximately 12%e74%and nearly 10%e73%CO₂emissions reduction without affecting heritage values.
