Proper waste management models using recent technologies like computer vision,machine learning(ML),and deep learning(DL)are needed to effectively handle the massive quantity of increasing ***,waste classification becomes a crucial topic which helps to categorize waste into hazardous or non-hazardous ones and thereby assist in the decision making of the waste management *** study concentrates on the design of hazardous waste detection and classification using ensemble learning(HWDC-EL)technique to reduce toxicity and improve human *** goal of the HWDC-EL technique is to detect the multiple classes of wastes,particularly hazardous and non-hazardous *** HWDC-EL technique involves the ensemble of three feature extractors using Model Averaging technique namely discrete local binary patterns(DLBP),EfficientNet,and *** addition,the flower pollination algorithm(FPA)based hyperparameter optimizers are used to optimally adjust the parameters involved in the EfficientNet and DenseNet121 ***,a weighted voting-based ensemble classifier is derived using three machine learning algorithms namely support vector machine(sVM),extreme learning machine(ELM),and gradient boosting tree(GBT).The performance of the HWDC-EL technique is tested using a benchmark Garbage dataset and it obtains a maximum accuracy of 98.85%.

Reconsideration of the phylogenetic positions of three stichotrichous genera Holosticha,Anteholosticha and Pseudokeronopsis (spirotrichea:Ciliophora) inferred from complete ssU rRNA gene sequences

The small subunit rRNA (ssU rRNA) gene for six marine stichotrichs, Pseudokeronopsis carnea, P. flava, Holosticha heterofoissneri, H. diademata, H. bradburyae and Anteholosticha manca, was sequenced and characterized. Using this molecular information, the phylogenetic positions of three related genera, Pseudokeronopsis, Holosticha and Anteholosticha were determined. The results indicate that the family Urostylidae is clearly separated from the family Pseudokeronopsidae. The present phylogenetic analyses unambiguously placed Pseudokeronopsis close to Holosticha, and support the conclusion that these genera should be regarded as the members of the order Urostylidae within the stichotrich clade. Furthermore, the results of this study also support the monophyly of the genus Pseud-okeronopsis, the redefinition of Holosticha s. str. and the placement of Anteholosticha in a clade separate from Holosticha.

The cortical development and macronuclear evolution of the marine hypotrichous ciliate Anteholosticha manca, collected from the coastal waters near Qingdao, China, were investigated using the protargol impregnation method. The morphogenesis of A. manca is generally typical for the genus, and can be characterized as the following features ：（ 1 ） in the proter, a new oral primordium is formed on the bottom （beneath the pellicle） of the buccal cavity, disorganization of the parental undulating membranes do not contribute to the formation of this primordium ; （2） FVT-cirral anlagen in both dividers develop independently, and very likely only a few midventral cirri join in the formation of these primordia; （ 3 ） both marginal row and dorsal kinety anlagen develop intrakinetally within the parental structure; （4） at the middle stage, macronuclear segments fuse together to form a single mass as observed in most of its related forms.

Application of cold drawn lamellar microstructure for developing ultra-high strength wires

Composite materials having lamellar structure are known to have a good combination of high strength and ductility. They are widely used in the fields of automobiles, civil engineering and construction, machines and many other industries. An application of lamellar microstructure for developing ultra-high strength steel wires was studied and discussed. Based on the experimental results, the relationships between the strength increase and microstructure development during the cold wire drawing were studied to reveal the strengthening mechanism. As cold drawing proceeds, the wire strength extremely increases, the microstructure changes from large single crystal lamellar structure to very fine polycrystalline lamellar one which has nano-sized grains, high dislocation density and amorphous regions. From the results obtained, it is concluded that heavy cold drawing technique is an effective method for lamellar composite to get high strength wires. Furthermore, formation process of the best microstructure for producing the ultra-high strength wires was also discussed.

Metal sulfides have been widely enticed as battery-type electrodes in supercapacitor devices because of their maximal theoretical ***,their lower conductivity and ion transport kinetics can largely restrict their rate performance,hence the practical usage in fields of demanding high power ***,the design of new electrodes with higher energy and power densities remains a highly challenging *** the best of our knowledge,a novel hierarchical composite of al-Cos_(2) on nitrogendoped graphene(NG)is prepared based on a zeolite imidazole framework using a simple and scalable hydrothermal *** this hybrid,ultrathin al-Cos_(2) nanosheet arrays are vertically orientated on the NG framework to limit self-aggregation,hence increasing the electrical property and cycle stability of *** is investigated that the al/Co feeding ratio plays a crucial role in controlling the obtained hierarchical structure of al-Co-s sheets and their electrode ***,al^(3+) can influence remarkably the morphology and electrochemical property of the resultant graphene *** effective synergism is noticed between the redox al-Cos_(2) and NG resulting in fast electron transfer and chargingdischarging ***,when the as-developed composite is utilized as a positive electrode at an applied current density of 1 A/g,a specific capacitance of 1915.8 F/g is attained with ultra-long cycle stability(96%,10,000 cycles)and an excellent retention rate(~89%).As a consequence,when a solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor(AsC)device is made by combining an al-Cos_(2) @NG hybrid with a negative electrode made of polyaniline(PANI)derived carbon nanorods(PCNRs),it demonstrates remarkable specific capacitance(188 F/g),energy density(66.9 Wh/kg),and cyclic stability of 92%after 10,000 *** may open the pathway for the application of the next-generation supercapacitors in the future.

Decomposition of biomass gasification tar model compounds over waste tire pyrolysis char

Gasification of biomass produces a syngas containing trace amounts of viscous hydrocarbon tar,which causes serious problems in downstream pipelines,valves and processing *** study focuses on the use of tire-derived pyrolysis char for tar conversion using biomass tar model compounds representative of *** catalytic decomposition of tar model compounds,including methylnaphthalene,furfural,phenol,and toluene,over tire char was investigated using a fixed bed reactor at a bed temperature of 700℃and 60 min time on *** influence of temperature,reaction time,porous texture,and acidity of the tire char was investigated with the use of methylnaphthalene as the tar model *** tar model compounds were found to have higher conversion than those containing a single or multi-aromatic *** reactivity of tar compounds followed the order of furfural>phenol>toluene>*** conversion of the model compounds in the presence of the tire char was much higher than tar thermal *** production increased dramatically with the introduction of tire *** H_(2)potential for the studied tar model compounds was found to be in the range of 40%–50%.The activity of tire char for naphthalene removal was compared with two commercial activated carbons possessing a very well-developed porous *** results suggest that the influence of Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area of the carbon on tar cracking is negligible compared with the mineral content in the carbon samples.

Corrosion inhibition of carbon steel in hydrochloric acid by cationic arylthiophenes as new eco-friendly inhibitors: Experimental and quantum chemical study

This study describes the adsorption behavior of three arylthiophene derivatives namely:2-(4-amidino-3-fluorophenyl)-5-[4-methoxy phenyl] thiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1217),2-(4-amidinophenyl)-5-[4-chlorophenyll thiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1316) and 2-(4-amidino-3-fluorophenyl)-5-[4-ch lorophenyllthiophene dihydrochloride salt(MA-1312) at C-steel in 1.0 mol·L^(-1) HCl interface using experimental and theoretical *** and mass loss measurements showed that the inhibition efficiency(IE) of the arylthiophene derivatives increases with increasing concentrations and exhibited maximum efficiency 89% at 21×10^(-6) mol·L^(-1)(MA-1217) by mass loss *** investigated arylthiophene derivatives obey the Langmuir adsorption *** polarization studies the arylthiophene derivatives act as mixed-type *** analysis were carried out and *** mode of orientation and adsorption of inhibitor molecules on C-steel surface was studied using molecular dynamics(MD) *** chemical parameters as well as the radial distribution function indices and binding energies confirm the experimental results.

A numerical investigation of CO2 dilution on the thermochemical characteristics of a swirl stabilized diffusion flame

The turbulent combustion flow modeling is performed to study the effects of CO_2 addition to the fuel and oxidizer streams on the thermochemical characteristics of a swirl stabilized diffusion flame. A flamelet approach along with three well-known turbulence models is utilized to model the turbulent combustion flow field. The k-ω shear stress transport(ssT) model shows the best agreement with the experimental measurements compared with other models. Therefore, the k-ω ssT model is used to study the effects of CO_2 dilution on the flame structure and strength, temperature distribution, and CO concentration. To determine the chemical effects of CO_2 dilution, a fictitious species is replaced with the regular CO_2 in both the fuel stream and the oxidizer stream. The results indicate that the flame temperature decreases when CO_2 is added to either the fuel or the oxidizer stream. The flame length reduction is observed at all levels of CO_2 dilution. The H radical concentration indicating the flame strength decreases, following by the thermochemical effects of CO_2 dilution processes. In comparison with the fictitious species dilution, the chemical effects of CO_2 addition enhance the CO mass fraction. The numerical simulations show that when the dilution level is higher, the rate of the flame length reduction is more significant at low swirl numbers.
