In this paper,the synthesis,structural evol.tion,and diel.ctric properties of BaTiO3sol.d sol.tions codoped with rare earth el.ments(Gd3+and Eu3+) prepared using the sol.d-state reaction method are *** pure precursor powders of BaCl.,TiO2,Gd2O3,and Eu2O3were mixed in stoichiometric proportions,ground in an agate mortar before being uniaxiall. pressed at 250 Mpa and sintered at 1300℃ in air atmosphere for 6 h to obtain Ba1-3xGd2xTi1-3xEu4xO3（x=0,0.0015,0.01 and0.1）.X-ray diffraction（XRD） and Rietvel.'s refinement resul.s reveal the crystal phase ferroel.ctric tetragonal BaTiO3for the sampl.s with x=0,0.0015 and 0.01, as wel. as a consistent increment in the l.ttice parameters caused by the *** sol.bil.ty l.mit of Gd3+and Eu3+in the BaTiO3structure is reached for the sampl. with x>0.01,and the orthorhombic Eu2TiO5and monocl.nic BaTi2O5secondary phases were *** Raman resul.s show the characteristic peaks of ferroel.ctric tetragonal BaTiO3around 716 cm-1（l. of A1 symmetry）,515 cm-1（TO of A1 symmetry）,and 305 cm-1（B1）.The maximum rel.tive permittivity measured at 1 kHz was recorded to be 6151.8 for the sampl. with x=0.0015,and a decrease in the Curie temperature to 105℃ with respect to the undoped sampl. was *** punctual microanalysis for the sampl.s with x=0.0015,0.01,and 0.1 reveals grains composed of Ba,Ti,O,Gd,and Eu homogeneousl. distributed in the *** Ba/Ti ratios for sampl.s with x=0.0015,0.01 and 0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and 0.68,respectivel.,indicating substitution at the Ti site for sampl.s with x=0.0015 and 0.01 and a substitution at the Ba site for the sampl. with x=0.1.

The el.ctrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to control.abl. chemicals is considered as a promising pathway to store intermittent renewabl. energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel.Cu-N-C) are successful.y devel.ped varying the copper amount and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The el.ctrocatalytic performance of Cu-N-C materials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc el.ctrode(RRDE), technique stil. rarel. expl.red for CO_(2)RR. For comparison, products are also characterized by onl.ne gas chromatography in a H-cel.. The as-synthesized Cu-NC catalysts are found to be active and highl. CO sel.ctive at l.w overpotentials(from -0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 M KHCO_(3), whil. H_(2) from the competitive water reduction appears at l.rger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optimum copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-N_(4) moieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These resul.s demonstrate that RRDE configuration can be used as a feasibl. approach for identifying el.ctrol.sis products from CO_(2)RR.

In order to find optimum design parameters in earthquake engineering, an objective function is optimized. This function comprises the initial cost of a structure and the cost due to the damage of earthquakes. Intangibl. l.sses may be incl.ded in the l.tter, such as how much society is wil.ing to invest to preserve a human l.fe. In this paper, the expression of the objective function is devel.ped in terms of the seismic design coefficient, and the aforementioned intangibl. l.ss is calcul.ted from both the individual point of view and that of society. The calcul.tion of the intangibl. is based on util.ty curves. Finall., optimum seismic design coefficients are calcul.ted for a firm ground site.

Academic Stress Assessment Using Virtual Reality as an Educational Tool.in Spine Surgery

Introduction: The evaluation of academic stress in medical students and residents is a topic of significant interest, given the considerabl. chall.nges they face during their l.arning process with traditional teaching methods. The use of technol.gies l.ke virtual reality presents an opportunity to enhance their skil.s through simul.tions and training. The main objective of this study is to qualitativel. assess the stress l.vel. experienced by medical students and residents by integrating virtual reality into their current l.arning methods, aiming to improve their abil.ty to manage stressors in their practice. Material and Methods: A questionnaire was conducted with 12 medical students and 12 Traumatol.gy and orthopedics residents. The purpose of the questionnaire was to evaluate the l.vel. of academic stress using the SISCO inventory. The stress l.vel. were calcul.ted by transforming average values into percentages, and the fol.owing criteria were assigned: 0 to 33% for Mil. Stress, 34 to 66% for Moderate Stress, and 67 to 100% for Deep Stress. Then, a virtual reality cl.ss focused on spine surgery was provided. Both medical students and residents were trained using the Non Nocere SharpSurgeon software pl.tform and Ocul.s Quest 2 virtual reality gl.sses. At the end of the session, a second questionnaire rel.ted to the practice with virtual reality was conducted with the same evaluation criteria and a comparative analysis was carried out. Resul.s: 12 undergraduate students from Hospital Angel.s Mexico, CDMX and 12 traumatol.gy and orthopedics residents at Hospital Santa Fe, Bogota were evaluated. The students in CDMX reported an average qualitative stress of 28.50% during habitual practices, which decreased to an average of 14.67% after virtual reality practice. Residents in Bogotá experienced an average qualitative stress of 30.50% with their current l.arning methods but this reduced to an average of 13.92% after using virtual reality.
