This study introduces the Orbit Weighting Scheme(OWS),a novel approach aimed at enhancing the precision and efficiency of Vector Space information retrieval.IR)models,which have traditional.y relied on weighting schemes like tf-idf and *** conventional.methods often struggle with accurately capturing document relevance,leading to inefficiencies in both retrieval.performance and index size *** proposes a dynamic weighting mechanism that eval.ates the significance of terms based on their orbital.position within the vector space,emphasizing term relationships and distribution patterns overlooked by existing *** research focuses on eval.ating OWS’s impact on model accuracy using Information Retrieval.metrics like Recal.,Precision,InterpolatedAverage Precision(IAP),andMeanAverage Precision(MAP).Additional.y,we assessOWS’s effectiveness in reducing the inverted index size,crucial.for model *** compare OWS-based retrieval.models against others using different schemes,including tf-idf variations and *** reveal.OWS’s superiority,achieving a 54%Recal. and 81%MAP,and a notable 38%reduction in the inverted index *** highlights OWS’s potential.in optimizing retrieval.processes and underscores the need for further research in this underrepresented area to fully leverage OWS’s capabilities in information retrieval.methodologies.

BACKGROUND Invasive functional.eval.ation by fractional.flow reserve(FFR)is considered as a gold standard for the eval.ation of intermediate coronary ***,in patients with diabetes due to accelerated progression of atherosclerosis the outcome may be worse even in the presence of negative functional.*** SUMMARY We present a case of 55-year-old mal. diabetic patient who was admitted for chest *** coronary angiography disclosed 2 intermediate stenoses of the obtuse marginal.branch with no evidence of restenosis on previously implanted *** undergone invasive functional.testing of intermediate lesion with preserved FFR(0.88),low coronary flow reserve(1.2)and very high index of microvascular resistance(84).Due to discrepancy in invasive functional.parameters,intravascular imaging with optical.coherence tomography showed fibrotic stenoses without signs of thin-sup *** of the preserved FFR and no signs of vulnerable plaque,the interventional.procedure was deferred and the patient continued with optimal.*** Combined functional.and anatomic imaging of intermediate coronary stenosis in diabetic patients represent comprehensive contemporary decision pathway in the management of the patients.

Japanese Sign Language Recognition by Combining Joint Skeleton-Based Handcrafted and Pixel-Based Deep Learning Features with Machine Learning Classification

Sign language recognition is vital.for enhancing communication accessibility among the Deaf and hard-of-hearing *** Japan,approximately 360,000 individual.with hearing and speech disabilities rely on Japanese Sign Language(JSL)for ***,existing JSL recognition systems have faced significant performance limitations due to inherent *** response to these chal.enges,we present a novel JSL recognition system that employs a strategic fusion approach,combining joint skeleton-based handcrafted features and pixel-based deep learning *** system incorporates two distinct streams:the first stream extracts crucial.handcrafted features,emphasizing the capture of hand and body movements within JSL ***,a deep learning-based transfer learning stream captures hierarchical.representations of JSL gestures in the second ***,we concatenated the critical.information of the first stream and the hierarchy of the second stream features to produce the multiple levels of the fusion features,aiming to create a comprehensive representation of the JSL *** reducing the dimensional.ty of the feature,a feature selection approach and a kernel-based support vector machine(SVM)were used for the *** assess the effectiveness of our approach,we conducted extensive experiments on our Lab JSL dataset and a publicly available Arabic sign language(ArSL)*** results unequivocal.y demonstrate that our fusion approach significantly enhances JSL recognition accuracy and robustness compared to individual.feature sets or traditional.recognition methods.

AIM:To determine whether the levator pal.ebrae superioris(LPS)/superior rectus(SR)muscle complex,can influence the position of the upper lid and fornix in acquired anophthal.ic ***:This comparative non-randomized and non-interventional.study included retrospective data of 21 patients with unilateral.acquired anophthal.ic sockets repaired with spheric ***-resolution computed tomography(CT)measurements of the LPM/SR muscle complex and clinical.topographic position of the upper lid,superior and inferior fornix depth in primary gaze position were *** data were presented as frequency and percentage proportions and quantitative variables comparing the socket measurements with the normal.contral.teral.orbit was statistical.y anal.zed using non-parametric tests considering Pal.ic orbits had a significantly shorter LPS length(P=0.01)and significantly thicker SR(P=0.02)than the normal.*** was present in anophthal.ic sockets but not in normal.orbits(P=0.002),while levator function was normal.in both(P>0.05,al. comparisons).The superior fornix depth was similar in the anophthal.ic socket and the contral.teral.normal.orbit(P=0.192)as well the inferior fornix depth(P=0.351).CONCLUSION:Acquired anophthal.ic sockets repaired with spheric implants have shorter LPS,thicker SR,and more lagophthal.os than normal.*** relationship of the LPS and SR with other orbital.structures,associated with passive or active forces acting in the final.position of the lids and external.ocular prosthesis should be further investigated.

Estimation of crowd count is becoming crucial.nowadays,as it can help in security surveillance,crowd monitoring,and management for different *** is chal.enging to determine the approximate crowd size from an image of the crowd’s *** in this research study,we proposed a multi-headed convolutional.neural.network architecture-based model for crowd counting,where we divided our proposed model into two main components:(i)the convolutional.neural.network,which extracts the feature across the whole image that is given to it as an input,and(ii)the multi-headed layers,which make it easier to eval.ate density maps to estimate the number of people in the input image and determine their number in the *** employed the available public benchmark crowd-counting datasets UCF CC 50 and ShanghaiTech parts A and B for model training and testing to val.date the model’s *** anal.ze the results,we used two metrics Mean Absolute Error(MAE)and Mean Square Error(MSE),and compared the results of the proposed systems with the state-of-art models of crowd *** results show the superiority of the proposed system.

Tubular Heat Enhancement Using Twisted Tape Inserts with Large Holes

Heat augmentation techniques play a vital.role in the heating and cooling processes in industries,including solar collectors and many applications that utilize heat *** studies are based on inserting fillers inside the tubes to enhance heat *** investigation considered the effects of twisted tapes with large holes on a tubular heat exchanger’s(HX)heat transmission,pressure drop,and thermal.boosting *** the experimental.section,counter-swirl flow generators used twisted tapes with pairs of 1.0 cm-diameter holes and changes in porosity(Rp)at 1.30%and 2.70%.In the experiments,air was utilized as a working fluid in a tube with a circular *** turbulent flow was considered,with Reynolds numbers(Re)domain from 4800 to 9500,and a boundary condition with a uniform wal. heat flux was *** findings expound that when the number of holes rose,the Nusselt number(Nu),the factor of friction(f),and the thermal.enhancement factor(η)al. increased as ***,as the friction factor increased,the Nusselt number of the tape-equipped tube was noticeably ***,it was discovered that the friction factor was between 70%and 94%lower than the val.es of the tube without tape,while the(Nu)was between 87%and 97%higher than the conventional.tube *** maximum val.e ofηis 89%.According to the experimental.results,empirical.correlations for Nu,f,andηwere al.o generated.

The role of polymorphic cytochrome P450 gene(CYP2B6)in B-chronic lymphocytic leukemia(B-CLL)incidence and outcome among Egyptian patients

Cytochromes P450(CYPs)play a prominent role in catal.zing phase I xenobiotic biotransformation and account for about 75%of the total.metabolism of commercial.y available drugs,including *** gene expression and enzyme activity of CYPs are variable between individual.,which subsequently leads to different patterns of susceptibility to carcinogenesis by genotoxic xenobiotics,as well as differences in the efficacy and toxicity of clinical.y used *** research aimed to examine the presence of the CYP2B6*9 polymorphism and its possible association with the incidence of B-CLL in Egyptian patients,as well as the clinical.outcome after receiving cyclophosphamide *** was isolated from whole blood samples of 100 de novo B-CLL cases and al.o from 100 sex-and age-matched heal.hy *** presence of the CYP2B6*9(G516T)polymorphism was examined by PCR-based al.ele specific amplification(ASA).Patients were further indicated for receiving chemotherapy,and then they were followed *** CYP2B6*9 variant indicated a statistical.y significant higher risk of B-CLL under different genetic models,comprising al.elic(T-al.ele vs.G-al.ele,OR=4.8,pal.outcome and can serve as a good therapeutic marker in predicting response to cyclophosphamide treatment.
