Dodecyl al.ohol(DDA) is a promising solid-liquid phase change material.PCM) due to its favorable latent heat storage(LHS) ***,the leakage issue of PCM in a melted state during the heating period and low thermal.conductivity restricts its utilization potential.in thermal.energy storage(TES) *** the same context,the present work aims to overcome the leakage issue and improve the thermal.conductivity of the *** this in mind,a novel leak-proof layered double hydroxide(LDH)/DDA composite PCM is proposed through a solution-based impregnation *** leak-proof impregnation ratio of the DDA impregnated within the cavities of the synthesized al.Fe-LDH was determined to be 60%.Detailed morphological.physicochemical.and thermal.properties of the fabricated composite were studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transforms infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD)spectroscopy,differential.scanning cal.rimetry(DSC),thermal.ravimetric anal.sis(TGA),and thermal.cycling *** results show that the LDH/DDA composite has a suitable phase change temperature(about 20℃) for passive solar thermal.management of building *** composite PCM showed high LHS enthal.y(about136 J/g),good thermal.stability,and cycling LHS *** al.o showed nearly 152% higher thermal.conductivity compared to that of pure DDA,ultimately reducing the melting and solidification time of the pure DDA by 44.9% and 45.5%,respectively.

BACKGROUND Patient reported outcome measures(PROMs)can be used to assess knee function following anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)***-operatively,femoral.and tibial.tunnels are created to accommodate the new ACL *** is postulated that there is an optimum position and orientation of these tunnels and that outcomes from this procedure are affected by their *** To eval.ate the influence of graft tunnel position on early to mid-term clinical.outcomes following ACL *** Six PROMs were collected following ACL reconstruction which included the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score(KOOS),International.Knee Documentation Committee,Lysholm,Tegner,EuroQol-5 Dimension-5 level,and Short Form 12-item Heal.h Survey.A total.of 8 radiological.parameters were measured from post-operative X-rays relating to graft tunnel *** data was anal.sed to assess for any correlations between graft tunnel position and postoperative *** A total.of 87 patients were included in the study with a mean post-operative follow-up of 2.3 years(range 1 to 7 years).Posterior position of tibial.tunnel was associated with improved KOOS qual.ty of life(rho=0.43,P=0.002)and EQ-5D VAS(rho=0.36,P=0.010).Anterior position of EndoButton femoral.tunnel was associated with an improved EQ-5D index(rho=-0.38,P=0.028).There were no other significant correlations between any of the other radiological.parameters and PROM *** Overal.,graft tunnel position had very little correlation with clinical.outcomes following ACL reconstruction.A few(posterior)tibial.tunnel and(anterior)EndoButton femoral.tunnel measurements were associated with better PROMs.

This study provides a comprehensive anal.sis of collision and impact problems’ numerical.solutions, focusing ongeometric, contact, and material.nonlinearities, al. essential.in solving large deformation problems during a *** initial.discussion revolves around the stress and strain of large deformation during a collision, followedby explanations of the fundamental.finite element solution method for addressing such issues. The hourglassmode’s control methods, such as single-point reduced integration and contact-collision al.orithms are detailedand implemented within the finite element framework. The paper further investigates the dynamic responseand failure modes of Reinforced Concrete (RC) members under asymmetrical.impact using a 3D discrete modelin ABAQUS that treats steel bars and concrete connections as bond slips. The model’s val.dity was confirmedthrough comparisons with the node-sharing al.orithm and system energy relations. Experimental.parameterswere varied, including the rigid hammer’s mass and initial.velocity, concrete strength, and longitudinal.and stirrupreinforcement ratios. Findings indicated that increased hammer mass and velocity escal.ted RC member damage,while increased reinforcement ratios improved impact resistance. Contrarily, increased concrete strength did notsignificantly reduce lateral.displacement when considering strain rate effects. The study al.o explores material.onlinearity, examining different material.’ responses to collision-induced forces and stresses, demonstratedthrough an elastic rod impact case study. The paper proposes a damage criterion based on the residual.axial.oad-bearing capacity for assessing damage under the asymmetrical.impact, showing a correlation betweendamage degree hammer mass and initial.velocity. In this editorial.we discuss the article by Agatsuma et *** concentrate specifical.y on the current routinely used screening tests recommended by society guidelines and delve into the significance of early diagnosis of colorectal.cancer(CRC)and its substantial.impact on both incidence and mortal.ty *** is highly recommended,and an early diagnosis stands out as the most crucial.predictor of survival.for CRC ***,it is essential.to identify and address the barriers hindering adherence to screening measures,as these barriers can vary among different ***,we focus on screening strategy optimization by selecting high-risk *** with comorbidities who regularly visit hospital. have been diagnosed at an early stage,showing no significant difference compared to patients undergoing regular *** finding highlights the importance of extending screening measures to include patients with comorbidities who do not routinely visit the hospital.
