患丙型肝炎老干部未进行抗病毒治疗:对生活质量造成影响的生理和社会心理因素

Backgr.und and Aims: Tr.atment-naive hepatitis C vir.s (HCV)infected patients r.por. impair.d health-r.lated quality of life (Hr.OL), although causes ar. unclear. Psychosocial factor. may be major.deter.inants of Hr.OL. Methods: We administer.d a gener.0} (Shor. For.-36; SF-36) and a liver.specific (Chr.nic Liver.Disease Questionnair.; CLDQ) Hr.OL measur. to 62 HCV-infected veter.ns being consider.d for.antivir.0} ther.py. Psychosocial assessment included the Str.ctur.d Clinical Inter.iew for.DSM-IV Axis I Disor.er./Non-Patient (SCID-VNP), Beck Depr.ssion Inventor.-II (BDI-II), Beck Anxiety Inventor. (BAI), Abbr.viated Cook-Medley (ACM) anger.measur., and Medical Outcomes Study Social Suppor. Measur. (SSM). We examined the potential deter.inants of Hr.OL, including psychosocial measur.s, demogr.phic measur.s (age, sex, r.ce/ethnicity), clinical measur.s (pr.sence of cir.hosis, comor.id medical conditions), and vir.0} data (quantitative PCr.. r.sults: SF-36 scor.s wer. significantly lower.in HCV-infected patients than published U.S. population nor.s but similar.to those r.por.ed by pr.vious studies of HCV infected samples. CLDQ scor.s wer. ver. similar.to those r.por.ed by pr.vious studies. Demogr.phic, clinical, and vir.0} indicator. wer. not statistically associated with Hr.OL, and neither.was the pr.sence of a substance abuse or.psychotic disor.er. Lower.BDI-II and BAI scor.s wer. associated with better.gener.0} and disease-specific Hr.OL. Lower.SSM scor.s wer. associated with lower.scor.s on SF-36 but not CLDQ; however. this effect did not per.ist in multiple linear.r.gr.ssion analyses. In these, BDI-II was the str.ngest independent pr.dictor.of both SF-36 and CLDQ. Conclusions: Psychosocial factor., especially depr.ssion, ar. str.ng indicator. of impair.d Hr.OL for.HCV-infected veter.ns not r.ceiving antivir.0} ther.py. Scr.ening and tr.atment of psychosocial factor. is r.commended.

Lebanese mar.ne water.is exposed to multi-point sour.e contaminants. r.sk assessment associated with deter.or.tive water.quality pr.file is not only affected by the disposed quantities of specific contaminant, but also its chemical speciated for.s. The objective of this study is to quantify the Lebanese chemical mar.ne water.pr.file. Sea water.samples wer. collected based on GIS map. The chemical water.quality was assessed by measur.ng the macr. water.par.meter. and potential existing metals. The micr.biological pr.file of water.was evaluated by fecal colifor.. r.sults showed contamination by fecal colifor. and high levels of toxic metals. However. the actual pr.jected impact of the detected metals on human health wer. assessed using geochemical models ＂Fr.EQCE＂ and ＂Mineq＋＂ that pr.dict the metal species for.s, mainly, the fr.e aqua-metal ion, most toxic for.. Thus, these r.sults necessitate the pr.posal of integr.ted inter.ention plans for.the pr.tection of this mar.ne sour.e and consistent with inter.ational tr.aties.

Sour.es and Levels of Metals in the Upper.Litani Basin Soils： Lebanon

Ther. ar. a number.of factor. that contr.bute to heavy metal contamination in agr.cultur.0} soils including deficient management of solid waste, waste water.dischar.e, ir.igation with contaminated water. and use of fer.ilizer. and pesticides. The aim of this study is to estimate the sour.es and the levels of metals in soils of the ULB （Upper.Litani Basin） that r.ceive all mentioned factor.. Soil samples wer. collected dur.ng the dr. season fr.m 24 sites along the Litani r.ver.flow, and 12 sites ir.igated by Canal 900 withdr.wn fr.m the Qar.oun Dam along r.ver. Metals in soils wer. analyzed using EDXr. （ener.y disper.ive X-r.y fluor.scence） technique. Data r.vealed the following aver.ge levels of some heavy metals in soils with high per.entage of samples exceeding the inter.ational guidelines： Mn （593 mg/kg）--67%, Ni （98 mg/kg）--96%, Cr.（143 mg/kg）--92%, Hg （3.6 mg/kg）--38%, Cd （2.8 mg/kg）---25% and As （17.6 mg/kg）-84%. In canal soils： Mn （683 mg/kg）-86%, Ni （156 mg/kg）-100%, Cr.（203 mg/kg） -100%, Hg （2.3 mg/kg）-25%, Cd （3.3 mg/kg）-25% and As （19.5 mg/kg）-92%. The pr.me sour.e of toxic metals was due to the agr.cultur.0} r.noffs, beside sewage and domestic waste water.dischar.e. Thus, the pr.minent findings of high levels of toxic metals （Cr. Cd, Hg and As） in soils and consequent pr.bability in plants might induce a major.health thr.at to consumer.,
