Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) pose a significant global health challenge, necessitating accurate risk prediction for effective preventive measures. This comprehensive comparative study explores the performance of traditional Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models in predicting CVD risk, utilizing a meticulously curated dataset derived from health records. Rigorous preprocessing, including normalization and outlier removal, enhances model robustness. Diverse ML models (Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, K-Nearest Neighbor, Decision Tree, and Gradient Boosting) are compared with a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network for DL. Evaluation metrics include accuracy, ROC AUC, computation time, and memory usage. Results identify the Gradient Boosting Classifier and LSTM as top performers, demonstrating high accuracy and ROC AUC scores. Comparative analyses highlight model strengths and limitations, contributing valuable insights for optimizing predictive strategies. This study advances predictive analytics for cardiovascular health, with implications for personalized medicine. The findings underscore the versatility of intelligent systems in addressing health challenges, emphasizing the broader applications of ML and DL in disease identification beyond cardiovascular health.

Manual investigation of chest radiography(CXR)images by physicians is crucial for effective decision-making in COVID-19 ***,the high demand during the pandemic necessitates auxiliary help through image analysis and machine learning *** study presents a multi-threshold-based segmentation technique to probe high pixel intensity regions in CXR images of various pathologies,including normal *** information is extracted using gray co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)-based features,while vessel-like features are obtained using Frangi,Sato,and Meijering *** learning models employing Decision Tree(DT)and RandomForest(RF)approaches are designed to categorize CXR images into common lung infections,lung opacity(LO),COVID-19,and viral pneumonia(VP).The results demonstrate that the fusion of texture and vesselbased features provides an effective ML model for aiding *** ML model validation using performance measures,including an accuracy of approximately 91.8%with an RF-based classifier,supports the usefulness of the feature set and classifier model in categorizing the four different ***,the study investigates the importance of the devised features in identifying the underlying pathology and incorporates histogrambased *** analysis reveals varying natural pixel distributions in CXR images belonging to the normal,COVID-19,LO,and VP groups,motivating the incorporation of additional features such as mean,standard deviation,skewness,and percentile based on the filtered ***,the study achieves a considerable improvement in categorizing COVID-19 from LO,with a true positive rate of 97%,further substantiating the effectiveness of the methodology implemented.

Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB) are used as an alternative of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACEI) in patients where ACEIs cannot be used because of their known adverse effects, cough and angioedema. Thus ARB induced angioedema is considered to be a rare phenomenon and it is continued to be used as an alternatives of ACEIs. In this case report, we reported a case of 78-year-old gentleman who presented to emergency department with losartan, an ARB induced angioedema, who did not have history of any previous use of ACEIs. He was given steroids and antihistamine as a treatment. His angioedema resolved rapidly and he was discharged after six hours of emergency department (ED) observation with stable hemodynamically. We, the authors by reporting this case, wants to make clinicians aware ARB, however rarely, can cause angioedema, which can be life threatening if clinicians are not aware of it and diagnose and stop the offending drug promptly and treat it early.

The best physical and geometrical parameters of the main sequence close visual binary system(CVBS), HIP 105947, are presented. These parameters have been constructed conclusively using al-Wardat’s complex method for analyzing CVBSs, which is a method for constructing a synthetic spectral energy distribution(SED) for the entire binary system using individual SEDs for each component star. The model atmospheres are in its turn built using the Kurucz(ATLAS9) line-blanketed plane-parallel models. At the same time, the orbital parameters for the system are calculated using Tokovinin’s dynamical method for constructing the best orbits of an interferometric binary system. Moreover, the mass-sum of the components, as well as the ?θ and ?ρ residuals for the system, is introduced. The combination of al-Wardat’s and Tokovinin’s methods yields the best estimations of the physical and geometrical parameters. The positions of the components in the system on the evolutionary tracks and isochrones are plotted and the formation and evolution of the system are discussed.

Public cloud computing provides a variety of services to consumersvia high-speed internet. The consumer can access these services anytimeand anywhere on a balanced service cost. Many traditional authenticationprotocols are proposed to secure public cloud computing. However, therapid development of high-speed internet and organizations’ race to developquantum computers is a nightmare for existing authentication schemes. Thesetraditional authentication protocols are based on factorization or discretelogarithm problems. As a result, traditional authentication protocols arevulnerable in the quantum computing era. Therefore, in this article, we haveproposed an authentication protocol based on the lattice technique for publiccloud computing to resist quantum attacks and prevent all known traditionalsecurity attacks. The proposed lattice-based authentication protocolis provably secure under the Real-Or-Random (ROR) model. At the sametime, the result obtained during the experiments proved that our protocol islightweight compared to the existing lattice-based authentication protocols,as listed in the performance analysis section. The comparative analysis showsthat the protocol is suitable for practical implementation in a quantum-basedenvironment.

We present the complete set of physical and geometrical parameters of the visual close binary system GJ 9830 for the first time by applying al-Wardat’s complex *** method combines magnitude difference from speckle interferometry,synthetic spectral energy distributions of the binary components which are constructed based on grids of Kurucz blanketed models(ATLAS9),and the orbital solution using Tokovinin’s dynamical method to estimate the parameters of individual *** analysis of the system by employing synthetic photometry resulted in the following set of parameters:Teff= 6220 ± 100 K,log g = 4.30 ± 0.12,R = 1.10 ± 0.08 R⊙for the primary component and Teff= 4870 ± 100 K,log g = 4.60 ± 0.11,R = 0.709 ± 0.07 R⊙for the secondary *** recently published dynamical parallax from the Gaia space mission was used to calculate the total mass of the binary system as 1.75 ± 0.06 M⊙,which coincides with those estimated using al-Wardat’s method as MA= 1.18 ± 0.10 M⊙,MB= 0.75 ± 0.08 M⊙.The analysis of the system reveals that both components are characteristic of main sequence stars and have an age of around 1.4 ± 0.50 *** evolutionary tracks and isochrones of the system’s components are discussed,and the fragmentation process is suggested as the most likely process for the formation of the system.

The complex fluid-dynamic instabilities and shock waves occurring along the surface of a two-dimensional wedge at high values of the Mach number are studied here through numerical solution of the governing ***,a regression model is implemented to determine the pressure distribution for various Mach numbers and angles of *** Mach number spans the interval from 1.5 to *** wedge angles(θ)are from 5°to 25°.The pressure ratio(P2/P1)is reported at various locations(x/L)along the 2D *** results of the numerical simulations are compared with the regression model showing good agreement.

Steady State Tokamak （SST-1） vacuum vessel baking as well as baking of the first wall components of SST-1 are essential to plasma physics experiments. Under a refurbishment spectrum of SST-1, the nitrogen gas heating and supply system has been fully refurbished. The SST-1 vacuum vessel consists of ultra-high vacuum （UHV） compatible eight modules and eight sectors. Rectangular baking channels are embedded on each of them. Similarly, the SST-1 plasma facing components （PFC） are comprised of modular graphite diverters and movable graphite based limiters. The nitrogen gas heating and supply system would bake the plasma facing components at 350 ~C and the SST-1 vacuum vessel at 150 ~C over an extended duration so as to remove water vapour and other absorbed gases. An efficient PLC based baking facility has been developed and implemented for monitoring and control purposes. This paper presents functional and operational aspects of a SST-1 nitrogen gas heating and supply system. Some of the experimental results obtained during the baking of SST-1 vacuum modules and sectors are also presented here.
