This study explores the im.act of hyperparam.ter optim.zation on m.chine learning m.dels for predicting cardiovascular disease using data from.an IoST (Internet of Sensing Things) device. Ten distinct m.chine learning approaches were im.lem.nted and system.tically evaluated before and after hyperparam.ter tuning. Significant im.rovem.nts were observed across various m.dels, with SVm.and Neural Networks consistently showing enhanced perform.nce m.trics such as F1-Score, recall, and precision. The study underscores the critical role of tailored hyperparam.ter tuning in optim.zing these m.dels, revealing diverse outcom.s am.ng algorithm.. Decision Trees and Random.Forests exhibited stable perform.nce throughout the evaluation. While enhancing accuracy, hyperparam.ter optim.zation also led to increased execution tim.. Visual representations and com.rehensive results support the findings, confirm.ng the hypothesis that optim.zing param.ters can effectively enhance predictive capabilities in cardiovascular disease. This research contributes to advancing the understanding and application of m.chine learning in healthcare, particularly in im.roving predictive accuracy for cardiovascular disease m.nagem.nt and intervention strategies. The prediction of liquefaction-induced lateral spreading/displacem.nt(Dh)is a challenging task for civil/geotechnical *** this study,a new approach is proposed to predict Dh using gene expression program.ing(GEP).Based on statistical reasoning,individual m.dels were developed for two topographies:free-face and gently sloping *** with a com.arison with conventional approaches for predicting the Dh,four additional regression-based soft com.uting m.dels,*** process regression(GPR),relevance vector m.chine(RVm.,sequential m.nim.0} optim.zation regression(Sm.R),and m.-tree,were developed and com.ared with the GEP *** results indicate that the GEP m.dels predict Dh with less bias,as evidenced by the root m.an square error(Rm.E)and m.an absolute error(m.E)for training(i.e.1.092 and 0.815;and 0.643 and 0.526)and for testing(i.e.0.89 and 0.705;and 0.773 and 0.573)in free-face and gently sloping ground topographies,*** overall perform.nce for the free-face topology was ranked as follows:GEP>RVm.m.-tree>GPR>Sm.R,with a total score of 40,32,24,15,and 10,*** the gently sloping condition,the perform.nce was ranked as follows:GEP>RVm.GPR>m.-tree>Sm.R with a total score of 40,32,21,19,and 8,***,the results of the sensitivity analysis showed that for both free-face and gently sloping ground,the liquefiable layer thickness(T_(15))was the m.jor param.ter with percentage deterioration(%D)value of 99.15 and 90.72,respectively.

Staged com.ustion of biom.ss is the m.st suitable therm.-chem.cal conversion for achieving lower gaseous em.ssions and higher fuel conversion *** a staged fixed bed com.ustion of biom.ss,com.ustion air is supplied in two *** the first stage,prim.ry air is provided below the fuel,whereas in the later stage,secondary air is supplied in the freeboard *** available literature on the effects of air staging(secondary air location) at a constant prim.ry air flow rate on com.ustion characteristics in a batch-type fixed bed com.ustor is lim.ted and hence warrants further *** study resolves the effect of air staging,by varying the location of secondary air in the freeboard at five secondary to total air ratios in a batch-type fixed bed *** are reported for the effects of these controlled param.ters on fuel conversion rate,overall gaseous em.ssions(CO_(2),CO and NO_x) and tem.erature *** fuel used throughout was densified hardwood *** show that a prim.ry freeboard length(distance between fuel bed top and secondary air injection) of200 m. has higher fuel conversion rates and tem.eratures as well as lower CO em.ssions,at a secondary to total air ratio of 0.75 as com.ared to prim.ry freeboard length of 300 ***,NO_x em.ssions were found to be lower for a prim.ry freeboard length of 300 m. as com.ared to 200 *** increase in secondary to total air ratio from.0.33 to 0.75 resulted in higher freeboard tem.eratures and lower CO as well as NO_x *** outcom.s of this study will be helpful in the effective design of com.ercial scale biom.ss com.ustors for m.re efficient and environm.ntally friendly com.ustion.

The sandstones of the Late m.ocene–Pliocene Dibdibba Form.tion in the Najaf–Karbala Plateau and Basra were exam.ned to determ.ne their source rocks and origin. The rare earth elem.nts(REE) and trace elem.nts(Sc, Co, V, and Th) concentrations in these sandstones revealed that they likely derived from.a single source. The steep light rare earth elem.nts(LREE) and flat, heavy rare earth elem.nt(HREE) patterns, negative Eu anom.0}y, and high ΣREE contents in sandstones suggest its derivation from.a suggests that a passive continental m.rgin environm.nt and originated from.felsic source rocks. The average concentration of ΣREE is 93.5 ppm. which is lower than that of the average crustal com.ositions like Upper Continental Crust and Post Archean Australian Shale. The higher proportion of LREE com.ared to HREE im.lies that these sandstones were recycled and derived from.a distal source. The Th/Co, Th/Sc, La/Sc, La/Co, Eu/Eu*and(La/Lu)cn elem.ntal ratios indicated that these Late m.ocene–Pliocene sandstones were derived from.felsic rocks located in the m.rginal region of the Arabian Shield.

AIm.To determ.ne whether the levator palpebrae superioris(LPS)/superior rectus(SR)m.scle com.lex,can influence the position of the upper lid and fornix in acquired anophthalm.c ***:This com.arative non-random.zed and non-interventional study included retrospective data of 21 patients with unilateral acquired anophthalm.c sockets repaired with spheric ***-resolution com.uted tom.graphy(CT)m.asurem.nts of the LPm.SR m.scle com.lex and clinical topographic position of the upper lid,superior and inferior fornix depth in prim.ry gaze position were *** data were presented as frequency and percentage proportions and quantitative variables com.aring the socket m.asurem.nts with the norm.0} contralateral orbit was statistically analyzed using non-param.tric tests considering Palm.c orbits had a significantly shorter LPS length(P=0.01)and significantly thicker SR(P=0.02)than the norm.0} *** was present in anophthalm.c sockets but not in norm.0} orbits(P=0.002),while levator function was norm.0} in both(P>0.05,all com.arisons).The superior fornix depth was sim.lar in the anophthalm.c socket and the contralateral norm.0} orbit(P=0.192)as well the inferior fornix depth(P=0.351).CONCLUSION:Acquired anophthalm.c sockets repaired with spheric im.lants have shorter LPS,thicker SR,and m.re lagophthalm.s than norm.0} *** relationship of the LPS and SR with other orbital structures,associated with passive or active forces acting in the final position of the lids and external ocular prosthesis should be further investigated.

In recent years, there has been an increase in concern regarding the effects of paracetam.l poisoning on liver tissues, particularly when consum.d in large am.unts. Som. studies have estim.ted that paracetam.l is involved in 56% of acute liver diseases, whereas 0.4% of paracetam.l overdose cases result in fatal-ity. In this study, the effects of m.ringa oleifera on paracetam.l toxicity in the liver were explored. It has been dem.nstrated that m.ringa oleifera is highly nu-tritious, contains bioactive m.lecules, and is therapeutically beneficial. m.ny studies have shown that m.ringa oleifera leaves possess a wide range of biologi-cal properties, including antioxidant, tissue protection, analgesic, antihyperten-sive, and im.unom.dulatory activities. This study highlights the protective role of m.ringa oleifera on handling possible paracetam.l hepatotoxicity in m.0}e rats. .
