QTLs for plant height and its components on the substituted segments of fifty-two single segment substitution lines （SSSLs） in rice were identified through t-test （P〈0.001） for comparison between each SSSL and recipient parent Huajingxian 74. On the 14 substituted segments, 24 QTLs were detected, 10 for plant height, 2 for panicle length, 4 for length of the first internode from the top, 5 for length of the second internode from the top and 3 for length of the third internode from the top, respectively. All these QTLs were distributed on nine rice chromosomes except chromosomes 5, 9 and 11. The additive effect ranged from -4.08 to 3.98 cm, and the additive effect percentages varied from -19.35% to 10.43%.

Aim:The aim of this study is to compare disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with stage I cervical cancer(≤4cms,lymph node-negative)undergoing open radical hysterectomy(ORH)*** invasive radical hysterectomy(MIRH).Methods:All patients undergoing radical hysterectomy between January 2012-December 2018 from the largest tertiary referral cancer centre were included.A 1:1 propensity matching was done based on four independent prognostic factors to compare DFS and OS with the route of ***:One hundred and ninety-nine patients were included during the study *** median age of the cohort was 50 *** median follow-up of patients was 47 *** 1:1 propensity matching,a total of 174 patients were analysed for DFS and OS in ORH(n=87)and MIRH(n=87)*** measure was used in two-thirds of the patients during ***-nine patients(16.7%)had *** the matched cohort(n=174),the DFS at 36 and 60 months was 84.8%(78.1%-89.6%)and 81%(73.4%-86.6%)respectively and the OS was 96.5%(91.7%-98.5%)and 95.6%(90.3%-98%)*** was no statistically significant difference in DFS or OS between ORH and ***:The present study showed no difference in oncological outcomes in MIRH compared to *** audits on patient characteristics such as screening/vaccination history along with surgical technique/load and matching for crucial risk factors should be factored in future studies to eliminate the possible methodological errors.

AIM To determine the readmission rate, its reasons, predictors, and cost of 30-d readmission in patients with cirrhosis and *** A retrospective analysis of the nationwide readmission database(NRD) was performed during the calendar year 2013. All adults cirrhotics with a diagnosis of ascites,spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, or hepatic encephalopathy were identified by ICD-9 codes. Multivariate analysis was performed to assess predictors of 30-d readmission and cost of *** Of the 59597 patients included in this study, 18319(31%) were readmitted within 30 d. Majority(58%) of readmissions were for liver related reasons. Paracentesis was performed in 29832(50%) patients on index admission. Independent predictors of 30-d readmission included age 3 Elixhauser comorbidity(OR: 1.13; CI: 1.05-1.22), nonalcoholic cirrhosis(OR: 1.16; CI: 1.10-1.23), paracentesis on index admission(OR: 1.28; CI: 1.21-1.36) and having hepatocellular carcinoma(OR: 1.21; CI: 1.05; 1.39). Cost of index admission was similar in patients readmitted and not readmitted(P-value: 0.34); however cost of care was significantly more on 30 d readmission($30959 ± 762) as compared to index admission($12403 ± 378), P-value: < *** Cirrhotic patients with ascites have a 33% chance of readmission within 30-d. Younger patients, with public insurance, nonalcoholic cirrhosis and increased comorbidity who underwent paracentesis are at increased risk of readmission. Risk factors for unplanned readmission should be targeted given these patients have higher healthcare utilization.

Renewable technologies such as solar present some of the possibilities for indoor and outdoor lighting in the remotest rural Africa where grid connections may take *** paper examined the key determinants that drive household lighting fuel using a nationally representative sample(14,415 households)across *** from a multinomial probit regression show that rural location,house ownership,household wealth,and nonfarm work are some of significant factors that influence lighting fuel choices in *** of the results indicates that household wealth levels and other regional differences are likely to influence choice probability for using clean energy sources such as solar confirming the need to priotise wealth *** study’s findings suggest the need for joint efforts by government and non-state actors to priotise household wealth generation,promotion of non-farm activities and improvement of infrastructures to reduce rural-urban bias and differences across the regions,assuming that wealth will motivate rural households to switch to clean energy sources.

The cultivation of grapes is severely impacted by the emergence of downy mildew (DM) disease which negatively affects quality and yield possibly resulting in heavy losses. Due to certain shortcomings in the usage of fungicides and the development of new cultivars by plant breeding, marker assisted selection (MAS) will be an efficient alternative method to introduce desired genes into the cultivated varieties in a short time period. The Simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers seem to be the most popular genetic marker of choice for MAS. In the present study, we identified 14 new SSR markers in RPV1 locus that are associated with downy mildew resistance in grapes. The characterization of the identified markers was carried out on the basis of various parameters such as types of repeat motifs, number of repeats, different classes and structure of microsatellites. Additionally, SSR genotyping in 56 different grape accessions was done to determine the susceptibility or resistance of these accessions to DM.

Background: Isolation of Left Subclavian Artery (LSCA) is a rare subset of Right Aortic Arch (RAA). It is diagnosed as nonvisualization of LSCA in catheterization study. Case Presentation: Here we report an unusual case of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with right aortic arch with isolation of left subclavian artery (LSCA). Here LSCA originated from left pulmonary artery (LPA) through an atretic patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). There was nonvisualization of LSCA in catheterization study and it was confirmed by Computed Tomography (CT) angiography. Re-implantation of LSCA was done to left common carotid artery (LCCA) so that the left upper arm maintains a better flow in the future. Conclusion: Isolation of LSCA especially with TOF is a very rare entity. Re-implantation of LSCA to LCCA was done in view of weak pulses in left upper limb. Results were satisfactory in the follow up period.

Size-specific dose estimates: Localizer or transverse abdominal computed tomography images?

AIM: To investigate effect of body dimensions obtained from localizer radiograph and transverse abdominal computed tomography(CT) images on Size Specific Dose Estimate. METHODS: This study was approved by Institutional Review Board and was compliant with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Fifty patients with abdominal CT examinations(58 ± 13 years, Male: Female 28:22) were included in this study. Anteriorposterior(AP) and lateral(Lat) diameters were measured at 5 cm intervals from the CT exam localizer radiograph(simple X-ray image acquired for planning the CT exam before starting the scan) and transverse CT images. Average of measured AP and Lat diameters, as well as maximum, minimum and mid location AP and Lat were measured on both image sets. In addition, off centering of patients from the gantry iso-center was calculated from the localizers. Conversion factors from American Association of Physicists in Medicine(AAPM) report 204 were obtained for AP, Lat, AP + Lat, and effective diameter(√ AP * Lat) to determine size specificdose estimate(SSDE) from the CT dose index volume(CTDIvol) recorded from the dose reports. Data were analyzed using SPSS v19. RESULTS: Total number of 5376 measurements was done. In some patients entire body circumference was not covered on either projection radiograph or transverse CT images; hence accurate measurement of AP and Lat diameters was not possible in 11%(278/2488) of locations. Forty one patients were off-centered with mean of 1.9 ± 1.8 cm(range: 0.4-7 cm). Conversion factors for attained diameters were not listed on AAPM look-up tables in 3%(80/2488) of measurements. SSDE values were significantly different compared to CTDIvol, ranging from 32% lower to 74% greater than CTDIvol. CONCLUSION: There is underestimation and overestimation of dose comparing SSDE values to CTDIvol. Localizer radiographs are associated with overestimation of patient size and therefore underestimation of SSDE.

抽穗期是水稻品种的重要农艺性状之一,对抽穗期QTL进行定位并研究其遗传效应在水稻育种中是至关重要的。本研究利用以6个水稻品种为供体的52个单片段代换系为试验材料,通过t测验比较单片段代换系与受体亲本华粳籼74之间抽穗期的差异,对代换片段上的抽穗期QTL进行了鉴定。以P≤0.001为阈值共鉴定出20个抽穗期QTL,这些QTL分布于水稻的10条染色体。QTL加性效应值为–5.9～1.1,加性效应百分率为–7.4%～1.4%。有8个QTL被定位在小于10.0cM的区段内。利用1个单片段代换系与华粳籼74杂交发展的F2群体对qHD-3-1进行了定位。在作图群体中,早抽穗和迟抽穗植株数符合3:1的分离比,早抽穗表现为显性。利用微卫星标记将qHD-3-1定位于3号染色体短臂,PSM304和RM569分别位于其两侧,遗传距离分别为2.4cM和5.1cM。
