Unique and various microstructures of titanium oxide(TiO_2 ) film including macroporous structure, chromatic veins and rings, have been easily fabricated by mist deposition method on silicon substrate with mild preparation conditions. Rutile phase TiO_2 nanoparticles were directly used as starting material to prepare film and led to a simple preparation process. It was found that several different microstructures existed in the sample and changed with the varied positions from the center to the edge of the film when the concentration of the TiO_2 suspension is 0.06 mol/l, the deposition time is 30 min, the flow rate is 1 l/min and the temperature is150. The surface texturing shows apparent distinction as the concentration of the TiO_2 suspension decreased to 0.03 mol/l and 0.01 mol/l.

A vertically integrated one-dimensional (1D) Boussinesq equation model and a two-dimensional (2D) Volume of Fluid (VOF) model for cross shore hydrodynamics and coastal sedimentary processes are discussed. Numerical schemes developed for the Boussinesq equations are shown to accurately simulate highly nonlinear waves as well as various phase-averaged phenomena. The VOF model is demonstrated to have advantages in simulation of local phenomena including wave breaking. A hybrid model that couples the Boussinesq equation model and the VOF model is also described.

Dissolved Organic Matter-Complexed Iron in Two Rivers with Different Types of Soils in Watershed Area

Concentrations of dissolved organic matter (DOM), dissolved humic substances (DHS), and DOM-complexed Fe (DOM-Fe) in Yamakuni and Oita Rivers, Japan, of which headstream is near in location, flow pass length is similar, but watershed soil type differs, were investigated. Soil organic matter level was higher in black Andosols distributing 67% of the watershed area of the Oita River than in Cambisols covering 90% of the watershed area of Yamakuni River. However, the DOM concentration in the Yamakuni River (0.44 - 1.62 mg·C·L-1) tended to be higher than that in the Oita River (0.13 - 1.37 mg·C·L-1). DHS accounted for 49% - 80% of DOM in both rivers. Fe and DOM-Fe concentrations showed a trend to increase toward downstream but decrease at the estuary in both rivers. DOM-Fe accounted for 26% - 90% and 55% - 93% of dissolved Fe in the Yamakuni and Oita Rivers, respectively. Correlation analysis suggested that the DOM-Fe concentration in the river water was controlled by the capacity for supplying Fe ions rather than that for supplying DOM. Although the ability to form a complex with Fe was suggested to be greater in the DOM in the Oita River than that in the Yamakuni River, the DOM-Fe concentration at the estuary was similar in the two rivers. Thus, the effect of soil organic matter level in the watershed area on the supply of Fe or DOM-Fe to the estuarine ecosystem was not significant.

三种硫磺硫化体系和两种过氧化物硫化体系的丁腈胶胶料与镍片共同硫化,当所用的镍片化学镀镍后的存放时间在6 h之内时,硫化所得到的丁腈胶-镍片粘合体具有大约6 kN/m的剥离强力。镀镍后在空气中长期存放的镍片,在硫化过程中很难与丁腈胶胶料产生粘合。研究表明,这种粘合力的下降是由于镍片表面形成了过厚的氧化物膜。镀镍后立即使用的镍片,在有橡胶配合剂的情况下,很容易与丁腈胶发生反应,在丁腈胶-镍的界面上形成化学交联。不过,在空气中长时间存放的镍片由于表面所形成的氧化物膜起着阻挡层作用,因此不再能与丁腈胶胶料粘合。然而,当丁腈胶胶料中添加有TTMS(triazine trithiol monosodium)时,在空气中存放3个月以上,表面具有厚的氧化物膜的镍片却可以与各种丁腈胶胶料形成非常好的粘合。这是由于TTMS能有效地促进丁腈胶-镍界面化学交联键的形成。丁腈胶-镍粘合体具有很好的耐水、耐油和耐热性能。

Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis:Difficulty in differentiating from gallbladder cancer

AIM: To compare cases of xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis(XGC) and advanced gallbladder cancer and discuss the differential diagnoses and surgical ***: From April 2000 to December 2013, 6 XGC patients received extended surgical resections. During the same period, 16 patients were proven to have gallbladder(GB) cancer, according to extended surgical resection. Subjects chosen for analysis in this study were restricted to cases of XGC with indistinct borders with the liver as it is often difficult to distinguish these patients from those with advanced GB cancer. We compared the clinical features and computed tomography findings between XGC and advanced GB cancer. The following clinical features were retrospectively assessed: age, gender, symptoms, and tumor markers. As albumin and the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR) are prognostic in several cancers, we compared serum albumin levels and the NLR between the two groups. The computerized tomography findings were used to compare the two diseases, determine the coexistence of gallstones, the pattern of GB thickening(focal or diffuse), the presence of a hypoattenuated intramural nodule, and continuity of the mucosal ***: Based on the preoperative image findings, we suspected GB carcinoma in all cases includingXGC in this series. In addition, by pathological examination, we found that the group of patients with XGC developed inflammatory disease after surgery. Patients with XGC tended to have abdominal pain(4/6, 67%). However, there was no significant difference in clinical symptoms, including fever, between the two groups. Serum albumin and NLR were also similar in the two groups. Serum tumor markers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9), tended to increase in patients with GB cancer. 在低水灰比的富混凝土中掺入超塑化剂后,很容易获得高强混凝土。它与普通混凝土相比,塑性太高及粘着性很大,故本文认为仅用坍落度试验来衡量高强混凝土的和易性是欠妥的。用后掺法将超塑化剂掺入高强混凝土比同掺法可节省水泥10%左右;用二次掺入法可将混凝土随时间损失的坍落度恢复到新拌混凝土的水平,而抗压强度保持不变。

AIM: To investigate the long-term oncologic outcomes and prognostic factors in patients with obstructive colorectal cancer(CRC) at multiple Japanese ***: We identified 362 patients diagnosed with obstructive colorectal cancer from January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2012 in Yokohama Clinical Oncology Group's department of gastroenterological surgery. Among them, 234 patients with stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ disease who had undergone surgical resection of their primary lesions were analyzed, retrospectively. We report the long-term outcomes, the risk factors for recurrence, and the prognostic ***: The five-year disease free survival and cancer-specific survival were 50.6% and 80.3%, respectively. A multivariate analysis showed the ASAPS(HR = 2.23, P = 0.026), serum Albumin ≤ 4.0 g/d L(HR = 2.96, P = 0.007), T4 tumor(HR = 2.73, P = 0.002) and R1 resection(HR = 6.56, P = 0.02) to be independent risk factors for recurrence. Furthermore, poorly differentiated cancers(HR = 6.28, P = 0.009), a T4 tumor(HR = 3.46, P = 0.011) and R1 resection(HR = 6.16, P = 0.006) were independent prognostic factors in patients with obstructive ***: The outcomes of patients with obstructive CRC was poor. T4 tumor and R1 resection were found to be independent prognostic factors for both recurrence and survival in patients with obstructive CRC.
