Efficient Feature Selection and Machine Learning Based ADHD Detection Using EEG Signal

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is one of the most common psychiatric and neurobehavioral disorders in children,affecting 11%of children *** study aimed to propose a machine learning(ML)-based algorithm for discriminating ADHD from healthy children using their electroencephalography(EEG)*** study included 61 children with ADHD and 60 healthy children aged 7–12 *** morphological and time-domain features were extracted from EEG *** t-test(p-value<0.05)and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)were used to select potential features of children with ADHD and enhance the classification *** selected potential features were used in four ML-based algorithms,including support vector machine(SVM),k-nearest neighbors,multilayer perceptron(MLP),and logistic regression,to classify ADHD and healthy *** overall prevalence of boys and girls with ADHD was 48.9%and 56.5%,*** average age of children with ADHD was 9.6±1.8 *** results illustrated that the combination of LASSO with SVM classifier achieved the highest accuracy of 94.2%,sensitivity of 93.3%,F1-score of 91.9%,and AUC of *** results also illustrated that MLP was the second-best ML-based classifier,which gave 93.4%accuracy,91.7%sensitivity,91.1%F1-score,and 0.960 *** findings indicated that the combination of the LASSO-based feature selection method and SVM classifier can be a useful tool for selecting reliable/potential features and classifying ADHD and healthy *** proposed ML-based algorithms could be useful for the early diagnosis of children with ADHD.

In three-dimensional noncentrosymmetric materials two-fold screw rotation symmetry forces electron's energy bands to have Weyl points at which two bands *** is illustrated for space groups No.19(P2_12_12_1) and No.198(P2_13),which have three orthogonal screw rotation *** the case of space groups No.61(Pbca) and No.205(Pa-3) that have extra inversion symmetry,Weyl points are promoted to fourfold degenerate line nodes in glide-invariant *** three-fold rotation symmetry present in the space groups No.198 and No.205 allows Weyl and Dirac points,respectively,to appear along its rotation axes in the Brillouin zone and generates four-fold and six-fold degeneracy at the C point and R point,respectively.

Growth rate has a direct impact on the productivity of nitride LED production. Atmospheric pressure growth of GaN with a growth rate as high as 10/zm/h and also *** growth of 1μm/h by using 4 inch by 11 production scale MOVPE are described. XRD of （002） and （102） direction was 200 arcsec and 250 arcsec, respectively. Impact of the growth rate on productivity is discussed.

There are many types of cyclone dust collectors for separating the fine solid and dust particles from gases in the various industries and also in the home used purposes. For estimating the power loss and the collection efficiency, one of the most important factors is the maximum tangential velocity Vθm in the vortex core region in the cyclone body. In order to determine Vθm by the simple method, it is useful to apply the mechanical balance of the angular momentum fluxes under the assumption of Ogawa combined vortex model which is composed of the quasi-forced vortex in the vortex core region and also the quasi-free vortex surrounded the vortex core region and also under the assumption of the introduction of equivalent length Heq corresponding to the cone spaces of the cyclone body and the dust bunker. On the other hand, the mean rotational velocity Voi near the concave wall surface is also estimated by the mechanical balance of angular momentum fluxes with the moment of viscous friction force. For confirming the general applications of the obtained equations, the returned flow types cyclones changed the throat diameter D3 are designed. The material of the cyclone is the transparent acrylic resin. Therefore the inner surface of the cyclone body can be regarded as smooth surface. The comparisons of the measured velocities Vθm and Voi by a cylindrical Pitot tube are shown in good agreement with those of the proposed equations. The above stated results are described in detail.

Automotive engine control has been continuously improved due to the strong demands from the society and the market since introducing electronic controls but not always following control theories. Therefore, it is not easy for researchers from academia and even engineers from the automotive industry to grasp the whole aspect of engine control. To encounter the issue, important features of engine control are extracted and generalized from the standpoint of control engineering. Comparisons of the control and model predictive control （MPC） showed an outstanding performance of the control generalized from engine controls and how to apply MPC in the framework.

Several Asian natricine snakes of the genus Rhabdophis feed on toads and sequester steroidal cardiac toxins known as bufadienolides(BDs)from them.A recent study revealed that species of the Rhabdophis nuchalis Group ingest lampyrine fireflies to sequester *** several species of fireflies are distributed in the habitat of the *** Group,only lampyrine fireflies,which have BDs,are included in the diet of these ***,we hypothesized that the *** Group chemically distinguishes fireflies that have BDs from those that do not have *** also predicted that the *** Group detects BDs as the chemical cue of toxin *** test these predictions,we conducted 3 behavioral experiments using Rhabdophis chiwen,which belongs to the *** *** the first experiment,*** showed a moderate tongue flicking response to cinobufagin,a compound of *** the other hand,the snake showed a higher response to the chemical stimuli of lampyrine fireflies(BD fireflies)than those of lucioline fireflies(non-BD fireflies).In the second experiment,in which we provided live BD and non-BD fireflies,the snake voluntarily consumed only the *** the third,a Y-maze experiment,the snake tended to select the chemical trail of BD fireflies more frequently than that of non-BD *** results demonstrated that *** discriminates BD fireflies from non-BD fireflies,but the prediction that BDs are involved in this discrimination was not fully *** identify the proximate mechanisms of the recognition of novel toxic prey in the *** Group,further investigation is necessary.

Silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))based ceramics are one of the most attractive advanced engineering materials,which have been widely used under high-speed rotational operation or for mechanical contacts across a curved *** the present study,rotationally symmetric texturing of Si_(3)N_(4),with radial grain align-ment,was obtained by centripetal sinter-forging(CSF)of a partially sintered *** average values of the included angles between the c-axis of the local Si_(3)N_(4)grain and radial direction were approxi-mately 16.4°and 11.0°,on the section plane perpendicular to the pressing direction,and parallel to both the pressing and radial directions,*** compressive strain in the pressing direction forced the ceramic body to flow towards the central axis,resulting in compressive strain in the tangential di-rection and tensile strain in the radial direction.A fundamental physical model was created to simulate the grain rotation during the 3-dimentional strain reorientation,which revealed the rod-like grain would preferentially rotate toward the center of the sample under the CSF *** addition,due to the fric-tion between the sample surface and the pressing punch,the increased shear strain could enhance the Si_(3)N_(4)grain ***,ceramics with rod-like grains perpendicular to the curved side sur-face could be anticipated by applying the centripetal forming concept in a controlled manner.

The experimental result of the collection efficiency of the axial flow cyclone with the fixed guide vanes is lowerthan that with the tangential inlet pipe to the cyclone body due to the weak angular momentum transfer given byflowing through the guide ***,one of the interesting points is the control of the collection efficiencydepended on the funnel shaped exit *** collection efficiencies for these funnel shaped exit pipes aredepended on the Froude ***,in this paper,the experimental results of the pressure drop and also thecollection efficiency using the fly-ash particles and also the comparison of the calculated results of the collectionefficiency with the experimental results are described in detail.
