Magnetic properties of gadolinium and/or dysprosium substituted Sm-Co nanocomposite ribbons

The present study reported the influence of heavy rare-earth elements(Gd and/or Dy)on Sm-Co-based melt-spun *** and magnetic properties of Sm-Co-based(Sm_(1-x)RE_(x)Co_(5))ternary and quaternary systems were *** X-ray diffraction,Auger spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)analyses reveal the presence of the 1:5H and 2:17R phases in the as-spun ribbons.A high-temperature magnetic measurement reports a Curie temperature(Tc)at~825 and~869 K in Sm0.6Gd0.4Co5(ribbon A)and Sm_(0.6)Gd_(0.3)Dy_(0.1)Co_(5)(ribbon B),respectively.A low-temperature magnetic measurement on Sm0.6Gd0.3Dy0.1Co5 ribbons exhibits a type-2 SR(spin reorientation)behaviour at~72 K,which arises due to the presence of the DyCo5 *** temperature magnetic measurements reveal that overall magnetic measurement(OMP)is about 24 and 29.9 for ribbons A and B,***,the comparative investigations profess that ribbon B shows better magnetic performance due to Dy addition with reduced grain *** observation indicates that the Gd and Dy substituted Sm-Co magnet can be a potential magnet for high-temperature applications.

Obstetric Emergencies at the Kara University Hospital Maternity Ward: Sociodemographic, Etiological and Prognostic Aspects

Introduction: Obstetric emergencies are common throughout the world and more particularly in developing countries where they are responsible for high maternal-fetal mortality and morbidity. Objective: Study obstetric emergencies in the maternity ward of Kara University Hospital. Method: Retrospective and descriptive study from April 1, 2022 to March 30, 2023, carried out in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Kara University Hospital. Results: Eight hundred and thirty-five (835) obstetric emergencies were recorded out of 2215 admissions, i.e. a frequency of 37.7%. The average age of the patients was 26.7 with a range of 14 and 45 years. They were primigravidas (36.7%) and nulliparous (38.7%), referred (84.7%) and came from rural areas (72%). Emergencies occurred in the 3rd trimester in 74.1% and in parturients (54.1%). Preeclampsia (27%), cessation of progression of labor due to feto-pelvic disproportion (12.4%), postpartum hemorrhage (7.5%) constituted the main obstetric emergencies. In 44.8%, the delivery was carried out vaginally. Magnesium sulfate was the most used drug, i.e. 30.1%;followed by antihypertensive medications in 28.1%. Blood transfusion was performed in 24.3%. The evolution was simple in 90.9%. The maternal fatality rate was 1.6%. The perinatal case fatality rate was 12.3%. Conclusion: Obstetric emergencies are common, dominated by preeclampsia, stopping progress of labor and postpartum hemorrhages. They are responsible for high morbidity and mortality.

Obstetric References in Disadvantaged Environments: Case of References to the University Hospital Center of Kara, in Northern Togo

Introduction: References are frequent and most often carried out in emergency situations. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological and clinical profile of obstetric referrals to the CHU-Kara. Methodology: This was a retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study conducted from September 1, 2022, to February 28, 2023, at CHU-Kara, focusing on obstetric referrals to the Gynecology-Obstetrics department. Result: 828 patients were referred for obstetric reasons out of 1295 admissions, representing a frequency of 63.9%. The average age was 25.04 years. They were primigravida (38.3%), unemployed (62.7%). Motorcycles were the main means of transportation, accounting for 53.1% of cases. The average distance to reach the referral center was 31.6 km, covered in an average of 71 minutes. In 40.7% of cases, patients had less than 4 prenatal consultations and were referred in peripartum (56.6%) for pre-eclampsia (14%), post-term pregnancy (11.8%), dystocia (10.5%). Eighty-six point nine percent (86.9%) of the referred patients were able to deliver during their stay in the department, of which 61.7% had vaginal deliveries. The maternal and perinatal mortality rates were 0.7% and 14.9%, respectively. Conclusion: Obstetric referrals to Kara University Hospital are frequent during the perpartum period and are often carried out by motorbike.

Smart farming has become a strategic approach of sustainable agriculture management and monitoring with the infrastructure to exploit modern technologies,including big data,the cloud,and the Internet of Things(IoT).Many researchers try to integrate IoT-based smart farming on cloud platforms *** define various frameworks on smart farming and monitoring system and still lacks to define effective data management *** IoT-cloud systems involve massive structured and unstructured data,data optimization comes into the ***,this research designs an Information-Centric IoT-based Smart Farming with Dynamic Data Optimization(ICISF-DDO),which enhances the performance of the smart farming infrastructure with minimal energy consumption and improved ***,a conceptual framework of the proposed scheme and statistical design model has beenwell *** information storage and management with DDO has been expanded individually to show the effective use of membership parameters in data *** simulation outcomes state that the proposed ICISF-DDO can surpass existing smart farming systems with a data optimization ratio of 97.71%,reliability ratio of 98.63%,a coverage ratio of 99.67%,least sensor error rate of 8.96%,and efficient energy consumption ratio of 4.84%.

Numerous Internet of Things(IoT)systems produce massive volumes of information that must be handled and answered in a quite short *** growing energy usage related to the migration of data into the cloud is one of the biggest *** computation helps users unload the workload again from cloud near the source of the information that must be handled to save time,increase security,and reduce the congestion of ***,in this paper,Optimized Energy Efficient Strategy(OEES)has been proposed for extracting,distributing,evaluating the data on the edge *** the initial stage of OEES,before the transmission state,the data gathered from edge devices are supported by a fast error like reduction that is regarded as the largest energy user of an IoT *** initial stage is followed by the reconstructing and the processing *** processed data is transmitted to the nodes through controlled deep learning *** entire stage of data collection,transmission and data reduction between edge devices uses less *** experimental results indicate that the volume of data transferred decreases and does not impact the professional data performance and predictive *** consumption of 7.38 KJ and energy conservation of 55.57 kJ was found in the proposed OEES *** accuracy is 97.5 percent,data performance rate was 97.65 percent,and execution time is 14.49 ms.

非洲猪瘟(African swine fever,ASF)是一种急性、出血性、高度接触性的烈性传染病,对世界养猪业和食品安全产生了巨大的负面影响,目前仍无商品化疫苗和特效药物。其病原体非洲猪瘟病毒(African swine fever virus,ASFV)是一种大型、结构复杂的双链DNA病毒,但80%的编码蛋白功能未知,因此其致病机制及药物研究现状对防控具有重要意义。作者概述了ASFV的病原体特征、传播途径及其引起的临床表现;从病毒入侵过程、免疫细胞功能改变及其相关通路变化等方面梳理了病毒致病机制的最新进展;介绍了ASFV的最新检测技术及疫苗新进展;系统总结了最新的中西药治疗研究现状,并对中药防治ASFV的未来前景进行展望,提出了未来重点研究方向和相关问题解决策略,以期为ASF的治疗提供借鉴和指导。

This article presents a new scheme for dynamic data optimization in IoT(Internet of Things)-assisted sensor *** various components of IoT assisted cloud platform are *** addition,a new architecture for IoT assisted sensor networks is ***,a model for data optimization in IoT assisted sensor networks is proposed.A novel Membership inducing Dynamic Data Optimization Membership inducing Dynamic Data Optimization(MIDDO)algorithm for IoT assisted sensor network is proposed in this *** proposed algorithm considers every node data and utilized membership function for the optimized data *** proposed framework is compared with two stage optimization,dynamic stochastic optimization and sparsity inducing optimization and evaluated in terms of reliability ratio,coverage ratio and sensing *** optimization was performed based on the availability of cloud resource,sensor energy,data flow volume and the centroid of each *** was inferred that the proposed MIDDO algorithm achieves an average performance ratio of 76.55%,reliability ratio of 94.74%,coverage ratio of 85.75%and sensing error of 0.154.

Efficient Packet Scheduling Technique for Data Merging in Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) has become a popular research topic due to its resource constraints. Energy consumption and transmission delay is crucial requirement to be handled to enhance the popularity of WSNs. In order to overcome these issues, we have proposed an Efficient Packet Scheduling Technique for Data Merging in WSNs. Packet scheduling is done by using three levels of priority queue and to reduce the transmission delay. Real-time data packets are placed in high priority queue and Non real-time data packets based on local or remote data are placed on other queues. In this paper, we have used Time Division Multiple Access(TDMA) scheme to efficiently determine the priority of the packet at each level and transmit the data packets from lower level to higher level through intermediate nodes. To reduce the number of transmission, efficient data merge technique is used to merge the data packet in intermediate nodes which has same destination node. Data merge utilize the maximum packet size by appending the merged packets with received packets till the maximum packet size or maximum waiting time is reached. Real-time data packets are directly forwarded to the next node without applying data merge. The performance is evaluated under various metrics like packet delivery ratio, packet drop, energy consumption and delay based on changing the number of nodes and transmission rate. Our results show significant reduction in various performance metrics.
