Seasonal variations in dissolved organic matter concentration and comp.sition in an outdoor system f.r bank f.ltration simulation

Dissolved organic matter(DOM)in surf.ce waters can vary markedly in character dep.nding on seasonal variations such as rainf.ll intensity,UV radiations and *** in DOM as well as temp.rature and rainf.ll intensity over the year can af.ect the biochemical p.ocesses occurring in bank f.ltration(Bf..Identif.cation and characterization of.DOM in the surf.ce water could help.to op.imize the water treatment and p.ovide stable and saf. drinking *** study investigated year-long variations of.DOM concentrations and comp.sitions in a surf.ce water of.a circulated outdoor p.nd(research f.cility)connected to a Bf.*** was dominated by humic substances and a c.anging p.ttern of.DOM in surf.ce water was observed throughout the year.A signif.cant increase of.DOM(~38%)in surf.ce water was noted in August comp.red to *** f.uorescent DOM showed that DOM in summer was enriched with the degradable f.action whilst non-degradable f.action was dominated in winter.A constant(1.7±0.1 mg/L)ef.luent DOM was recirculated in the system throughout the *** removal through Bf.varied between 4%to 39%and was achieved within a f.w meters af.er inf.ltration and signif.cantly correlated with inf.uent DOM concentration(R^(2)=0.82,p.0.05).However,no signif.cant(p.0.05)c.ange in the removal of.DOM was observed in two subsurf.ce layers(up.er and lower).This study highlights the p.esence of.a constant non-degradable DOM in the bank f.ltrate,which was not af.ected by temp.rature,redox conditions and UV radiations.

We have recently p.op.sed a new technique of.p.asma tailoring by laser-driven hydrodynamic shockwaves generated on both sides of.a gas jet[Marquès et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].In a continuation of.this numerical work,we study exp.rimentally the inf.uence of.the tailoring on p.oton acceleration driven by a high-intensity p.cosecond laser in three cases:without tailoring,by tailoring only the entrance side of.the p.cosecond laser,and by tailoring both sides of.the gas *** tailoring,the acceleration is transverse to the laser axis,with a low-energy exp.nential sp.ctrum,p.oduced by coulomb *** the f.ont side of.the gas jet is tailored,a f.rward acceleration ap.ears,which is signif.cantly enhanced when both the f.ont and back sides of.the p.asma are *** f.rward acceleration p.oduces higher-energy p.otons,with a p.aked sp.ctrum,and is in good agreement with the mec.anism of.collisionless shock acceleration(cSA).The sp.tiotemp.ral evolution of.the p.asma p.of.le is characterized by op.ical shadowgrap.y of.a p.obe *** ref.action and absorp.ion of.this beam are simulated by p.st-p.ocessing 3D hydrodynamic simulations of.the p.asma *** with the exp.rimental results allows estimation of.the thickness and near-critical density of.the p.asma slab p.oduced by tailoring both sides of.the gas *** p.rameters are in good agreement with those required f.r cSA.

HI in High Gas-p.ase Metallicity Dwarf.Galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9

We p.esent resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telescop. H I observations of.the high gas-p.ase metallicity dwarf.galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereaf.er J2306) and investigate whether it could be a Tidal Dwarf.Galaxy(TDG) candidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallicities than normal dwarf.. J2306 has an unusual combination of.a blue g-r color of.0.23 mag, irregular op.ical morp.ology and high-metallicity(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We f.nd J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy with a large extended, unp.rturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamical mass and f.und the galaxy to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity of.DM, inf.rred f.om its dynamical mass, ap.ears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated f.om any larger galaxies which could have been the source of.its high gas metallicity. Additionally, the H I morp.ology and kinematics of.the galaxy show no indication of.a recent merger to exp.ain the *** detailed op.ical sp.ctroscop.c observations of.J2306 might p.ovide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf.galaxy achieved such a high level of.metal enrichment.

This work exp.ored p.ssibilities of.biodegradable magnesium alloy Mg-3Y p.ep.ration by two modern p.wder metallurgy techniques–sp.rk p.asma sintering(Sp.)and selective laser melting(SLM).The p.wder material was consolidated by both methods utilising op.imised p.rameters,which led to very low p.rosity(∼0.3%)in the SLM material and unmeasurably low p.rosity in the Sp. *** main aim of.the study was the thorough microstructure characterisation and interrelation between the microstructure and the f.nctional p.op.rties,such as mec.anical strength,def.rmability,and corrosion *** materials showed comp.rable strength of.110 Mp. in tension and comp.ession and relatively good def.rmability of.9%and∼21%f.r the SLM and Sp. materials,*** corrosion resistance of.the Sp. material in 0.1 M Nacl solution was sup.rior to the SLM one and comp.rable to the conventional extruded *** digital image correlation during loading and the cross-section analysis of.the corrosion layers revealed that the residual p.rosity and large strained grains have the dominant negative ef.ect on the f.nctional p.op.rties of.the SLM *** the other hand,one of.the p.imary outcomes of.this study is that the Sp. consolidation method is very ef.ective in the p.ep.ration of.the W3 biodegradable alloy,resulting in material with convenient mec.anical and degradation p.op.rties that might f.nd p.actical ap.lications.

Radiative decays D((s))*→D((s))γare revisited in light of.new exp.rimental data f.om the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative coup.ings gD*Dγencoding nonp.rturbative QcD ef.ects are calculated in the f.amework of.the covariant conf.ned quark model develop.d by *** comp.re our results with other theoretical studies and exp.rimental *** coup.ings(in GeV-1)|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.72(34)calculated in our model agree with the corresp.nding exp.rimental data|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.77(16).The most interesting case is the decay Ds*→Dsγ,f.r which a recent p.ediction based on light-cone sum rules at next-to-leading order|gDs*Dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates f.om the f.rst(and only to date)lattice QcD result|gDs*Dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our calculation yields|gDs*Dsγ|=0.29(6),which f.lls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those p.edicted in other studies using quark models or QcD sum rules.
