Castor(ricinus communis L.)is an important tropical oilseed crop,whose oil has versatile,practical value,especially in *** present study aimed to estimate the nature and magnitude of variability in the castor germplasm concerning yield and its component traits and physico-biochemical *** yield per plant and oil content ranged from 80.90 g(ICs-165)to 248.30 g(rG-3216),and 34.7%(ICs-172)to 58.7%(JI-277),*** iodine value of oil ranged from 76.36(JI-370)to 89.84(P2-135)with an average value of *** mean saponification value of oil was *** genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variation were high for acid value,capsules on the main raceme,seed yield per plant,and total length of the main raceme.A positive association of porosity,average unit volume,and total length of the main raceme with seed yield per plant showed that these characters might be directly attributed to seed yield *** Manhattan distances,the 30 genotypes were grouped into 3 *** genetic diversity was elucidated using s.r and srAP *** marker produced higher mean number of total bands(5.71),polymorphic bands(4.57),percentage polymorphism(83.10%),PIC(1.72),rP(5.90),mean rP(1.02),Mr(5.71),EMr(4.57)and MI(1.44)values when compared to s.r(2.89,2.11,79.63%,0.61,1.90,0.72,2.89,2.11 and 0.49,respectively)*** highest genetic distance(0.77)was between 48-1 and JI-370,which indicated that these genotypes could be used in biparental mating schemes,QTL map development,and hybridization programmes to increase oil content and quality for indus.rial purposes.

We present the results from a long term X-ray analysis of Mrk 279 during the period 2018–*** use data from multiple missions–As.rosat,NusTAr and XMM-Newton,for the *** X-ray spectrum can be modeled as a double Comptonization along with the presence of neutral Fe Kαline emission,at all *** determined the source’s X-ray flux and luminosity at these different *** find significant variations in the source’s flux *** also investigate the variations in the source’s spectral components during the obs.rvation *** find that the photon index and hence the spectral shape follow the variations only over longer time *** probe the correlations between fluxes of different bands and their photon indices,and found no significant correlations between the parameters.

Mitochondrial DNA from hepatocytes as a ligand for TLr9: Drivers of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis?

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is the most common liver disease worldwide, affecting approximately one third of the Western world. It consists of a wide spectrum of liver dis.rders, ranging from fatty liver to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NAsH), which consists of steatosis, ballooning injury and inflammation. Despite an alarming growth in the statistics s.rrounding NAFLD, there are as yet no effective therapies for its treatment. Innate immune signaling has been thought to play a significant role in initiating and augmenting hepatic inflammation, contributing to the transition from nonalcoholic fatty liver to NAsH. An immune response is triggered by countless signals called damage-associated molecular patterns(DAMPs) elicited by lipid-laden and damaged hepatocytes, which are recognized by pattern recognition receptors(Prrs) on hepatic immune cells to initiate inflammatory signaling. In this editorial, in addition to summarizing innate immune signaling in NAFLD and discussing potential therapies that target innate immune pathways, we have des.ribed a recent study that demons.rated that mitochondrial DNA s.rves as a DAMP activating a hepatic Prr, TLr9, in mice and in the plasma of NAsH patients. In addition to identifying a new ligand for TLr9 during NAsH progression, the study shows that blocking TLr9 reverses NAsH, paving the way for the development of future NAsH therapy.

Neutrophils are essential immune cells that defend the host against pathogenic microbial *** are produced in the bone marrow and are retained there through CXCr4–CXCL12 ***,patients with the Warts,Hypogammaglobulinemia,Infections,and Myelokathexis(WHIM)syndrome are prone to infections due to increased accumulation of neutrophils in the bone marrow leading to low numbers of circulating *** neutrophils accumulate in the bone marrow in this condition is poorly *** better understand factors involved in neutrophil accumulation in the bone marrow,neutrophils from wildtype and WHIM mouse models were characterized in their response to CXCL12 *** neutrophils were found to exert s.ronger traction forces,formed significantly more lamellipodia-type protrusions and migrated with increased speed and displacement upon CXCL12 stimulation as compared to wildtype *** speed of WHIM neutrophils showed a larger initial increase upon CXCL12 stimulation,which decayed over a longer time period as compared to wildtype *** proposed a computational model based on the chemotactic behavior of neutrophils that indicated increased CXCL12 sensitivity and prolonged CXCr4 internalization adaptation time in WHIM neutrophils as being responsible for increased accumulation in the bone *** findings provide a mechanistic understanding of bone marrow neutrophil accumulation in WHIM condition and novel insights into restoring neutrophil regulation in WHIM patients.
