Malaria is one of the most important parasitic diseases in the world which is transmitted by the Anopheles mosquitoes. There are several methods for malaria *** of them is application of repellents on skin in malarious area as an intergrated vectro management *** study evaluated two repellents of DMP as a synthtic and locally product of neem oil as a botanical repellent against Anopheles *** modified method of K & D was used for the ***/biting rates on the shaved belly of white rabbits were counted. ED50 and ED95 values were calculated by probit statistic *** of effective dose(ED50, ED90 ) on human volunteer and white rabbit was performed using regression *** and failure time of DMP and neem oil was also ***50 value of DMP and neem oil was determined as 0.0076 and 0. 159 mg/cm respectively on white *** figures of ED90 value of DMP and neem oil was determined as 0. 046 and 1.388 mg/cm^*** and neem oil showed repellency effects against *** on human volunteers with ED50 value of 0.0037 and 0.127 mg/cm^2 ***90 value of DMP was determined as 0. 032 mg/cm^*** oil exhibited a ED90 value of 1.066 mg/cm^2 on human *** protection time of 6-7 hours for DMP and 31 minute for neem oil was *** failure times for DMP and Neem was 9 hours and 65 minutes rspectively on human *** results exhibited that plant-based repellent is generally less effective than synthetic ***,use of locally made botanical materials would be of great advantages for personal protection against mosquito biting.

Studies have suggested that the nucleus accumbens(NAc)is implicated in the pathophysiology of major depression;however,the regulatory strategy that targets the NAc to achieve an exclusive and outstanding anti-depression benefit has not been ***,we identified a specific reduction of cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)in the subset of dopamine D1 receptor medium spiny neurons(D1-MSNs)in the NAc that promoted stress susceptibility,while the stimulation of cAMP production in NAc D1-MSNs efficiently rescued depression-like *** treatment enhanced cAMP both in D1-MSNs and dopamine D2 receptor medium spiny neurons(D2-MSNs)of depressed mice,however,the rapid antidepressant effect of ketamine solely depended on elevating cAMP in NAc *** discovered that a higher dose of crocin markedly increased cAMP in the NAc and consistently relieved depression 24 h after oral administration,but not a lower *** fast onset property of crocin was verified through multicenter ***,crocin specifically targeted at D1-MSN cAMP signaling in the NAc to relieve depression and had no effect on *** findings characterize a new strategy to achieve an exclusive and outstanding anti-depression benefit by elevating cAMP in D1-MSNs in the NAc,and provide a potential rapid antidepressant drug candidate,crocin.

目的研究达立通颗粒主要活性成分在正常和功能性消化不良(FD)模型大鼠胃肠道组织中的分布差异。方法采用夹尾刺激结合不规律饮食双因素干预方法建立FD模型。12只大鼠(对照、模型各6只)用于FD模型验证,进行胃、小肠排空实验,HE染色后进行胃肠组织病理学观察;36只大鼠(对照、模型各18只)用于胃肠道组织差异分布研究,禁食不禁水18 h,按22.4 g‧kg^(−1)剂量(8倍临床等效剂量)ig给予达立通颗粒1次,于给药后1、3、6 h收集各组大鼠的胃、十二指肠、空肠、回肠和结肠。应用超高效液相色谱-串联四级杆/线性离子阱质谱(UPLC-QTRAP-MS/MS)法检测各组织牡荆素-4''-O-葡糖苷、原阿片碱、黄连碱、小檗碱、甜橙黄酮、川陈皮素、桔皮素、去甲基川陈皮素、木香烃内酯、去氢木香内酯、原儿茶酸、伞形花内酯、木犀草苷、橙皮苷、木犀草素、柚皮素、橙皮素、白杨素含量,采用ACQUITY HPLCTM HSS T3(50 mm×2.1 mm,1.8μm)色谱柱,柱温为40℃,0.1%甲酸水-乙腈为流动相,梯度洗脱,体积流量为0.3 mL‧min^(−1),进样量为2μL。结果与对照组比较,模型组大鼠体质量显著降低(P<0.001),胃、小肠排空率显著降低(P<0.001),十二指肠肠黏膜的紧密连接被破坏,但未出现胃肠组织的器质性病变,符合FD的病理特征。建立的UPLC-QTRAP-MS/MS方法中,各化合物线性关系良好,R^(2)≥0.9900。对建立的检测方法进行专属性、精密度与准确度、提取回收率、稳定性和基质效应等方面的考察,均符合要求。各成分在对照和模型组大鼠胃肠道组织中浓度差异明显,且在各组织中达到最高浓度的时间点差异较大,模型组出现达峰时间延后的现象;与对照组比较,模型组大鼠胃组织中化合物的暴露水平降低,可能与FD引起胃肠道蠕动减慢有关。橙皮苷、橙皮素、柚皮素、原儿茶酸、去氢木香内酯、川陈皮素、去甲基川陈皮素、小檗碱和桔皮素在胃、十二指肠、空肠、回肠和结肠中暴露水平较高,且在对照组和模型组中各时间点下的浓度差异较显著。结论经方法学验证,所建立的UPLC-QTRAP-MS/MS法灵敏、专属性强、准确性高,适用于大鼠胃肠道组织中达立通颗粒主要活性成分的胃肠组织分布研究。达立通颗粒主要活性成分在正常和FD模型大鼠胃肠组织分布具有显著性差异。

The purpose of this study was to investigate how well whey might protect against aging related alterations in sperm structure,seminal and antioxidant enzymes and serum hormonal *** Wistar albino rats aged 8 and 30-months were divided into two primary groups with or without whey supplementation(n=8).After the experiments of whey supplementation,the rats were euthanized,blood was collected,and serum was *** ultrastructure and flow cytometry of annexin-V and mitochondrial membrane potential were carried *** antioxidant and malondialdehyde concentrations were *** hormonal profiles of testosterone,growth(GH),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)and thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)as well as pituitary gland ultrastructure were *** showed that whey supplementation improved the structure and function of sperm and seminal fluid as well as the serum hormonal levels of *** aged rats,whey supplementation increased the serum levels of GH,FSH,LH and TSH as well as seminal superoxide *** supplementation also caused reduction of seminal alkaline and acid phosphatases and lipid peroxidation in aged rat compared to that in adult *** also improved sperm motility and viability but reduced sperm abnormalities by increasing sperm mitochondrial membrane potential and lowering annexin v *** conclusion,whey contains antioxidant components that alleviated oxidative stress involved in damaging sperm macromolecules during aging process.

Despite a substantial reduction in the incidence and prevalence of parasitic diseases in the industrialized world, they continue to be an important public health problem in many developing African countries,including Nigeria. However,estimates of the prevalence of such infections among school age children,who bear the greatest health burden due to these diseases,are hard to come *** objective of this study was therefore to determine the prevalence and type of intestinal helminth infections among primary school *** study was cross-sectional in *** participants included 266 pupils recruited from three government primary schools in the Mokola area of Ibadan,*** pupils were interviewed and their stool samples examined for eggs of common *** mean age of the pupils was 9.8±2.6 years,and 128(48.1%) were *** pupils(7.1%) had intestinal helminth *** lumbricoides was found in 17 pupils(6. 4%) and was the most prevalent helminth among the children,while Trichuris trichiura was found in only two subjects(0.8%).Previous infestations and the use of public toilets were found to be significantly associated with current infections(P<0.05).This study demonstrated that the prevalence of intestinal infections was low among the pupils studied,and that Ascaris infection was the commonest infestation.

The dependency of the critical Marangoni number on the geometrical aspect ratio of the floating half zone is essential to predict the onset of oscillatory thermocapillary *** experimental studies in the microgravity conditions on floating half zones of several centimeters in diameter have predicted that the critical Marangoni number increases with the increasing aspect ratio,and the terrestrial experimental studies have predicted the contradictory conclusion for floating half zones of several millimeters in *** the present work,terrestrial experimental studies were conducted on the floating half zones of 5 Centistokes(cSt) silicon oil and 10 cSt silicon *** experimental results show that the critical Marangoni number generally increases with the increasing aspect ratio of the floating half zone and then ***,a further increase of the critical Marangoni number with the increasing aspect ratio occurs for the slender floating half zones.
