Background:Manilkara hexandra(Roxb.)dubard is an evergreen tree species that belongs to the Sapotaceae family which has been used in traditional system of medicines since ages in South Asia,especially in Western and Central ***:This review aims to include a thorough report on phytochemicals found in the various sections of the plant,which are responsible for their medicinal properties in ***:All the informations in this article were collated from selected research papers from online database such as PubMed,Web of Science and ***:An audit of its literature shows extracts from this plant and bio transformed products possess different activities such as antibacterial,anti-inflammatory,antiulcer,aphrodisiac,immuno-stimulation activity,arthritic activity,and free radical scavenging *** from therapeutic indications,the products obtained such as edible and nutritious fruit,valuable wood,latex,and bark,are cost effective and are a source of living for local *** varieties of chemical compounds have been isolated from this species,including sterols,sugar,terpenoids,anthraquinone glycoside,cardiac glycoside,saponin and tannins,*** the large occurrence of this underutilized species offers an incentive to use this plant at crucial levels in the treatment of various ***:This review attempts to systematically collate the scattered knowledge on ***,for its botan-ical elements,phytochemistry,ethnopharmacology,and biological activities,to assess the range of variation among natural populations in opening research areas,and to identify elite cultivars for popularization among farmers/tribal for conservation and sustainable use on conducting field improvement studies.

Novel PA encapsulated PCL hybrid coating for corrosion inhibition of biodegradable Mg alloys:A triple triggered self-healing response for synergistic multiple protection

Surface coatings have been extensively used to control the degradation rate of Mg alloys for bioimplant ***,these coatings only act as passive *** corrosive media,structural damage impairs their barrier properties,resulting in rapid degradation of Mg *** present study incorporates phytic acid(PA)as a healing agent in polycaprolactone(PCL)microcapsules with a unique honeycomb core matrix to obtain a self-healing PA-PCLcaps *** contact between simulated body fluid(SBF)and PA-PCLcaps coated ZM21 exhibited Cassie-Baxter interfacial states,resulting in significant hydrophobicity with a contact angle(CA)of *** corrosion potential(Ecorr)and current density(Icorr)were found to be-0.28 V and 1.1×10^(-9)A/cm^(2),respectively,for PA-PCLcaps coating,resulting in biosafe corrosion rate of 2.5×10^(-4)mm/*** mechanical scratching,rapid HA mineralization at scratched regions recovered the hydrogen evolution rate(HER,0.36 mL/cm^(2)/day)and pH change(pH 7.10)of scratched PA-PCLcaps coated ZM21 samples to corresponding unscratched samples within one day of *** coating’s self-healing ability could be attributed to PA released from punctured microcapsules,which facilitates HA *** pH-triggered(pH 10)and Mg(II)-triggered(5 mM)conditions enhanced PA release from PA-PCLcaps coating by 2.5 and 3.1 times,*** a result,dense HA mineralization occurred,which protects the coating from structural defects and ensures its durability in stimulating *** findings of present study provide new insight for design of multiple stimuli-feedback based self-healing coatings on biodegradable Mg alloys.

Enhanced cavitation erosion resistance of a friction stir processed high entropy alloy

Friction stir processing of an Al0.1CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy(HEA)was performed at controlled cooling conditions(ambient and liquid submerged).Microstructural and mechanical characterization of the processed and as-cast HEAs was evaluated using electron backscatter diffraction,micro-hardness testing and *** under the submerged cooling condition showed elongated grains(10μm)with fine equiaxed grains(2μm)along the boundary compared to the coarser grain(~2 mm)of as-cast *** hardness showed remarkable improvements with four(submerged cooling condition)and three(ambient cooling condition)times that of as-cast HEA(HV^150).The enhanced hardness is attributed to the significant grain refinement in the processed *** erosion behavior was observed for samples using an ultrasonication *** of the HEAs showed better cavitation erosion resistance than the stainless steel *** sample processed under a submerged liquid condition showed approximately 20 and 2 times greater erosion resistance than stainless steel 316L and ascast HEA,*** enhanced erosion resistances of the processed HEAs correlate to their increased hardness,resistance to plasticity,and better yield strength than the as-cast *** surface of the tested samples showed nucleation and pit growth,and plastic deformation of the material followed by fatigue-controlled disintegration as the primary material removal mechanism.

LQG Controller Design Applied to a Pneumatic Stewart-Gough Platform

This paper is concerned with the practical application control of a pneumatically actuated Stewart-Gough platform with 6-degrees of freedom （6-DOF）. The control approach for motion control of the platform is presented using a modern control technique, namely, linear quadratic Gaussinn （LQG） with reference tracking. The LQG controller is the combination of a Kalman filter, i.e., a linear-quadratic estimator （LQE） with a linear-quadratic regulator （LQR）. The robustness of the control scheme is accessed under various load conditions, and the experimental results are shown.

Characterization of saline soil for the halophytes of largest inland saline wetland of India using geospatial technology

About 23%of the surface area and 44%of the volume of all the lakes are occupied by saline lakes in the ***,agricultural diversion,illegal encroachment,pollution,and invasive species could cause these lakes to dry up completely or partially by *** saltpan encroachment is causing Sambhar,India’s largest saline lake,to shrink by 4.23%every *** study aims to characterize the soil parameters where halophytes are growing.A literature survey was conducted for halophytes and soil *** study area was divided into four zones for stratified random *** sampling was conducted in February *** soil indicators for halophyte selected were pH,electrical conductivity,moisture,salinity,organic carbon,and organic *** obtained results were interpolated in the geospatial platform for soil characteristic *** is found that no research is conducted on halophytes of the *** on soil are also inconsistent and only six common parameters could be *** show that the pH ranged 9.37-7.66,electrical conductivity was 16.1-0.38,moisture 23.37%-1.2%,organic carbon 3.29%-0.15%,organic matter 5.6%-0.2%,and salinity 8.86%-0.72%.Though these results show improved condition as compared to last few years,in long term,the lake is *** the UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration(2021-2030),if these causes are not addressed,the ecosystem may completely dry up.

The excitation function of the 58Ni(n,p)58Co reaction was measured using the well-established neutron activation technique andγ-ray *** in the energy range of 1.7 to 2.7 MeV were generated using the 7Li(p,n)*** neutron flux was measured using the standard 115In(n,n’)115mIn monitor *** results of the neutron spectrum averaged cross-section of 58Ni(n,p)58Co reactions were compared with existing cross-section data available in the EXFOR data library as well as with various evaluated data libraries such as ENDF/B-VIII.0,JEFF-3.3,JENDL-4.0,and *** calculations were performed using the nuclear reaction code *** nuclear level density(NLD)models were tested,and their results were compared with the present *** NLDs were also obtained through the spectral distribution method(SDM).The cross-section results,along with the absolute errors,were obtained by investigating the uncertainty propagation and using the covariance *** forγ-ray true coincidence summing,low-energy background neutrons,andγ-ray self attenuation were *** experimental cross-section obtained in the present study is consistent with previously published experimental data,evaluated libraries,and theoretical calculations carried out using the TALYS code.

A survey of analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug prescription for oral implant surgery

Aim:This study was conducted to determine the preferred analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs prescribed by oral implantologists in ***:A structured questionnaire was distributed to 332 dentists to gather information regarding their prescription habits for analgesics and anti-inflammatory *** distributions were computed by type of drug being prescribed and the protocol ***:Analysis of data showed that majority of dentists(85.8%,n=285)prescribed conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)for implant *** most common prescription was ibuprofen with paracetamol combination(32.2%,n=107)followed by diclofenac(20.2%,n=67).Most dentists reported prescribing different NSAIDs for the same procedure in different patients(64.7%,n=215).Only,35.5%(n=118)followed the peri-operative *** prescription of steroids was done by only 33.7%(n=112).Conclusion:Our study illustrates that the general trend of analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug prescription for dental implant surgery among Indian dentists is mostly in accordance with the guidelines for pain management ***,it is noteworthy that a few dentists do prescribe drugs not primarily indicated for dental pain management and use widely varying protocols for the ***,in order to avoid potential complications,it is essential to raise awareness of among the dental practitioners of the appropriate indications and dosage regimen of specific drugs.

Materials are precious resources. Different methods are employed to protect the material from degradation. Thermal spraying is one of the most effective method to protect the material from wear, high temperature corrosion, stresses and erosion, thus increasing the life of material in use. Detonation gun spraying is one of the thermal spraying techniques known for providing hard, wear resistant and dense microstructured coatings. This paper summarizes the results of previous research done by various authors on different coatings done by detonation gun spraying technique.

Particle manipulation beyond the diffraction limit using structured super-oscillating light beams

The diffraction-limited resolution of light focused by a lens was derived in 1873 by Ernst *** in 1952,a method to reach sub-diffraction light spots was proposed by modulating the wavefront of the focused *** a related development,super-oscillating functions,that is,band-limited functions that locally oscillate faster than their highest Fourier component,were introduced and experimentally applied for super-resolution *** till now,only simple Gaussian-like sub-diffraction spots were *** we show that the amplitude and phase profile of these sub-diffraction spots can be arbitrarily *** particular,we utilize Hermite–Gauss,Laguerre–Gauss and Airy functions to structure super-oscillating beams with subdiffraction *** structured beams are then used for high-resolution trapping and manipulation of nanometer-sized *** trapping potential provides unprecedented localization accuracy and stiffness,significantly exceeding those provided by standard diffraction-limited beams.
