In developing counties, efficiency of economic development has been determined by the analysis of industrial production. An examination of the characteristic of industrial sector is an essential aspect of growth studies. The growth of a country can be measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP). GDP is substantially affected by the industrial output. Industrial gross output is mainly a function of capital and labor input. If the effect of labor and capital input to output is at a satisfactory level in an industry or in a group of industries, then industrial investment will increase. As a result, the number of industries will increase, which will directly affect GDP and also will decrease the unemployment rate. This is why, industrial input-output relationship is so important for any industry as well as for the overall industrial sector of a country. To forecast the production of a firm is necessary to identify the appropriate model. MD. M. Hossain et al. [1] have shown that Cobb-Douglas production function with additive errors was more suitable for some selected manufacturing industries in Bangladesh. The main purpose of this paper is to detect the autocorrelation problem of Cobb-Douglas production model with additive errors. The result shows that autocorrelation is presented in some manufacturing industries. Finally, this paper removes the autocorrelation problem and re-estimates the parameters of the Cobb- Douglas production function with additive errors.

With the introduction of the new highly effective antiviral therapies, there has been a dramatic increase in the use of the hepatitis C virus(HCV)-positive livers in HCV-positive recipients. In the majority of studies, HCV positivity was defined as a donor testing HCV Ab positive. In 2015, all Organ Procurement Organizations were mandated to perform and report HCV Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing(NAT) results on all deceased and living donors. Studies are not yet available on how organs are being utilized based on NAT status and whether NAT status affects recipient outcomes. Further studies are needed to maximize the use of these organs.

Background The health-care workers （HCWs） are at high risk of acquiring infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The objectives of this study were to compare the performance of the *** and tuberculin skin test （TST） for latent tuberculosis infection （LTBI）, evaluate diagnostic concordance and risk factors for LTBI, and observe the progression to active tuberculosis （TB） disease among HCWs in a general hospital in Beijing. Methods The prospective cohort study enrolled HCWs in a tertiary general hospital in Beijing, China, to evaluate LTBI with *** and TST. The subjects were evaluated every 12 months during the 60-month follow-up. Results Of 101 participating HCWs, 96 and 101 had valid TST and *** results, respectively. Twenty-nine （28.7%, 95% confidence interval （C/）, 19.9%-37.5%） were defined as positive by *** and 53 （55.2%, 95% CI, 45.2%-64.9%） were defined as positive by TST （using a ≥10 mm cutoff）. An agreement between the two tests was poor （57.3%, k=0.18, 95% CI, 0.01%-0.52%）. In multJvariate analysis, direct exposure to sputum smear-positive TB patients was a significant risk factor for a positive *** （OR 5.76; 95% CI 1.38-24.00）. Pooled frequency of antigen- specific IFN-y secreting T-cells for subjects who reported direct contact with sputum smear-positive TB patients was significantly higher than that for participants without direct contact （P=0.045）. One of 20 participants with positive result of *** and TST developed active TB at 24-month *** *** is a more accurate, targeted method of diagnosing LTBI than TST.

The goal of this study was to develop a self-settling microalgal consortium in raceway pond reactor (RPR). Experiments were carried out with cultures that developed without additional seeding, but naturally promoted by process conditions in a raceway pond reactor. The changes in microalgal communities and total biomass under nitrogen and phosphorous limitations were studied in both batch and continuous systems. At the steady state batch had the population of 46% Euglena sp., 16% Closterium sp., 14% Chlorella sp., 14% Scenedesmus sp. and 10% Ankistrodesmus sp. with a maximum biomass of 900 mg/L. In order to get self-settling microalgal consortium, the operation was changed to continuous continuous mode with the aid of a specially designed settler for daily harvest and recycling of the biomass. Grazing fauna could be controlled by managing reduced liquid and solid retention time. At steady-state condition, an autofloculating and self-settling consortium was developed which had mainly Fragilaria sp., Scenedesmus sp., and filamentous Ulothrix sp. The maximum biomass concentration obtained was 140 mg/L. The presence of neutral lipid droplets in the consortium was identified by staining with Nile Red. Development of the lipid rich consortium could be a suitable method for producing biofuel.

We report a comprehensive study of electrical transport properties of stoichiometric (Mg,Ni)-ferrite in the temperature range 77 ≤ T ≤ 300k, applying magnetic field upto 1T in the frequency range 20 Hz-1 MHz. After ball milling of MgO, NiO and ?-Fe2O3 and annealing at 1473k, a (Mg,Ni)-ferrite phase is obtained. The temperature dependency of dc resistivity indicates the prevalence of a simple hopping type charge transport in all the investigated samples. The activation energy decreases by annealing the samples by 1473k. The dc magnetoresistivity of the samples is positive, which has been explained by using wave function shrinkage model. The frequency dependence of conductivity has been described by power law and the frequency exponent ‘s’ is found to be anomalous temperature dependent for ball milling and annealing samples. The real part of the dielectric permittivity at a fixed frequency was found to follow the power law ?/(f,T) ? Tn. The magnitude of the temperature exponent ‘n’ strongly depends on milling time and also on annealing temperature. The dielectric permittivity increases with milling and also with annealing. An analysis of the complex impedance by an ideal equivalent circuit indicates that the grain boundary contribution is dominating over the grain contribution in conduction process.

An Herbal Formula LI85008F Inhibits Lipogenesis in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes

The present study demonstrates a novel herbal formulation LI85008F inhibiting adipocyte differentiation and potentiates lipolysis in 3T3-L1 mouse adipocytes. LI85008F is formulated by combining extracts of three Indian herbs Moringa oleifera, Murraya koenigii and Curcuma longa. Oil red O staining of 3T3-L1 adipocytes reveals that LI85008F is a synergistic formulation that inhibits adipocyte differentiation in a dose dependent manner and concurrently down regulates the key adipogenic transcription factors Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor gamma (PPAR) and CCAAT/enhancer binding protein α (C/EBP). LI85008F confers significant reductions in intracellular triglyceride content in a dose dependent manner. Evidence suggests that LI85008F antagonizes PPAR through Ser112 phosphorylation via MAPk/ERk activation. Immunoblot analyses reveal that LI85008F treatment also down regulates the protein expressions of key PPAR responsive gene products such as Adipocyte differentiation related protein (ADRP), CD36, Adipocyte specific binding protein 2 (aP2) and perilipin. In differentiated adipocytes culture, LI85008F treatment results in significantly (p = 0.0169) increased lipolysis as measured by the release of glycerol. LI85008F does not exhibit cytotoxic effect on adipocytes. Taken together, the results suggest that LI85008F inhibits lipogenesis in adipocytes and concurrently antagonizes PPAR? and other lipogenic factors and in addition, potentiates triglyceride mobilization from the fat cells or enhances lipolysis.

Gluteal hernias are extremely uncommon and occur as a result of deficiency or defect in the gluteal musculature. Our case reports one such incidence in a one year old girl with review of available literature. The clinical presentation and imaging findings are discussed comprehensively. We thus lay emphasis on the importance of real-time ultrasonography as the method of choice to identify hernia contents, peristalsis and obstruction if any.
