Prediction of primary quality variables in real time with adaptation capability for varying process conditions is a critical task in process *** article focuses on the development of non-linear adaptive soft sensors for prediction of naphtha initial boiling point(IBP)and end boiling point(EBP)in crude distillation *** this work,adaptive inferential sensors with linear and non-linear local models are reported based on recursive just in time learning(JITL)*** different types of local models designed are locally weighted regression(LWR),multiple linear regression(MLR),partial least squares regression(PLS)and support vector regression(SVR).In addition to model development,the effect of relevant dataset size on model prediction accuracy and model computation time is also *** show that the JITL model based on support vector regression with iterative single data algorithm optimization(ISDA)local model(JITL-SVR:ISDA)yielded best prediction accuracy in reasonable computation time.

The exponential growth in communication networks,data technology,advanced libraries,and mainly World Wide Web services has played a pivotal role in facilitating the retrieval of various types of information as ***,this progress has also led to security concerns related to the transmission of confidential ***,safeguarding these data during communication through insecure channels is crucial for obvious *** emergence of steganography offers a robust approach to concealing confidential information,such as images,audio tracks,text files,and video files,in suitable media carriers.A novel technique is envisioned based on back-propagation *** to the proposed method,a hybrid fuzzy neural network(HFNN)is applied to the output obtained from the least significant bit substitution of secret data using pixel value dif-ferences and exploiting the modification *** simulation and test results,it has been observed that the proposed methodology achieves secure steganography and superior visual *** the experiments,we observed that for the secret image of the cameraman,the PSNR&MSE values of the proposed technique are 61.963895 and 0.041361,respectively.

Genetic Relationship and Structure Analysis of Root Growth Angle for Improvement of Drought Avoidance in Early and Mid-Early Maturing Rice Genotypes

Deeper rooting 1(Dro1)and Deeper rooting 2(Dro2)are the QTLs that contribute considerably to root growth angle assisting in deeper rooting of rice *** the present study,a set of 348 genotypes were shortlisted from rice germplasm based on root angle *** results of the germplasm lines under drought stress identified 25 drought tolerant donor lines based on leaf rolling,leaf drying,spikelet fertility and single plant yield.A panel containing 101 genotypes was constituted based on screening results and genotyped using Dro1 and Dro2 *** software categorized the genotypes into four sub-populations with different fixation index values for root growth *** clustering analysis and principal coordinate analysis could differentiate the genotypes with or without deeper rooting *** dendrogram constructed based on the molecular screening for deep rooting QTLs showed clear distinction between the rainfed upland cultivars and irrigated *** genotypes,namely Dular,Tepiboro,Surjamukhi,Bamawpyan,N22,Dinorado,Karni,Kusuma,Bowdel,Lalsankari and Laxmikajal,possessed both the QTLs,whereas 67 genotypes possessed only *** average angle of Dro positive genotypes ranged from 82.7°to 89.7°.These genotypes possessing the deeper rooting QTLs can be taken as donor lines to be used in marker-assisted breeding programs.

Despite its efficacy against malaria, the relatively low yield （0.01%-0.8%） of artemisinin in Artemisia annua is a serious limitation to the commercialization of the drug. A better understanding of the biosynthetic pathway of artemisinin and its regulation by both exogenous and endogenous factors is essential to improve artemisinin yield. Increasing evidence has shown that microRNAs （miRNAs） play multiple roles in various biological processes. In this study, we used previously known miRNAs from Arabidopsis and rice against expressed sequence tag （EST） database of A. annua to search for potential miRNAs and their targets in A. annua. A total of six potential rniRNAs were predicted, which belong to the miR414 and miR1310 families. Furthermore, eight potential target genes were identified in this species. Among them, seven genes encode proteins that play important roles in artemisinin biosynthesis, including HMG-CoA reductase （HMGR）, amorpha-4,11-diene synthase （ADS）, farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase （FPS） and cytochrome P450. In addition, a gene coding for putative AINTEGUMENTA, which is involved in signal transduction and development, was also predicted as one of the targets. This is the first in silico study to indicate that miRNAs target genes encoding enzymes involved in artemisinin biosynthesis, which may help to understand the miRNA-mediated regulation of artemisinin biosynthesis in A. annua.

A large volume of overburden and mine wastes is generated during the extraction and beneficiation of the low grade ores. The waste low grade manganiferous iron ore fine from southern part of India was studied for recovery of iron values. The chemical assay of the sample is 52.36% Fe, 4.75% Mn, 8.5% SiO2 and 2.82% Al2O3. The characterization study of the sample indicates the presence of microplaty hematite, goethite, pyrolusite, cryptomelane with minor amount of quartz and kaolinite. The beneficiation study of the sample does not respond to the conventional route of desliming the ground feed followed by gravity separation and magnetic separation. Therefore, an alternative technique of reduction roasting using a producer gas was attempted at different conditions. The characterization of roasted product reveals the phase transformation to magnetite and microplaty magnetite. The low intensity magnetic separation conducted with the roasted products generated at optimal condition shows that 70% concentrate having 64.5% Fe and 1.87% Mn could be produced. The high manganese in the concentrate works as an additive for making pellet with enhancement in pellet strength and drop in reducibility. Utilization of mines waste has significant impact on mineral resources and environmental hazard.

In this paper a hybrid parallel multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed for solving 0/1 knapsack problem. Multi-objective problems with non-convex and discrete Pareto front can take enormous computation time to converge to the true Pareto front. Hence, the classical multi-objective genetic algorithms (MOGAs) (i.e., non- Parallel MOGAs) may fail to solve such intractable problem in a reasonable amount of time. The proposed hybrid model will combine the best attribute of island and Jakobovic master slave models. We conduct an extensive experimental study in a multi-core system by varying the different size of processors and the result is compared with basic parallel model i.e., master-slave model which is used to parallelize NSGA-II. The experimental results confirm that the hybrid model is showing a clear edge over master-slave model in terms of processing time and approximation to the true Pareto front.

Non-enzymatic biosensors based on mixed transition metal oxides are deemed as the most promising devices due to their high sensitivity,selectivity,wide concentration range,low detection limits,and excellent *** NiCo2O4 mixed oxides have drawn considerable attention recently due to their outstanding advantages including large specific surface area,high permeability,short electron,and ion diffusion *** of the rapid development of non-enzyme biosensors,the current state of methods for synthesis of pure and composite/hybrid NiCo2P4 materials and their subsequent electrochemical biosensing applications are systematically and comprehensively reviewed *** analysis reveals better electrochemical sensing of bioanalytes by one-dimensional and two-dimensional NiCo2O4 nano-/microstructures than other *** biosensing efficiency of NiCo2O4 as compared to corresponding individual metal oxides,*** and Co3O4,is attributed to the close intrinsic-state redox couples of Ni3+/Ni2+(0.58 V/0.49 V) and Co3+/Co2+(0.53 V/0.51 V).Biosensing performance of NiCo2O4 is also significantly improved by making the composites of NiCo2O4 with conducting carbonaceous materials like graphene,reduced graphene oxide,carbon nanotubes(single and multi-walled),carbon nanofibers;conducting polymers like polypyrrole(PPy),polyaniline(pani);metal oxides NiO,Co3O4,SnO2,MnO2;and metals like Au,Pd,*** factors affecting the morphologies and biosensing parameters of the nano-/microstructured NiCo2O4 are also ***,some drawbacks and future perspectives related to this promising field are outlined.

The synthesis, characterization, thermal degradation and stability of polyaniline （pani）, poly（m-nitroaniline）, poly（m-chloroaniline） and poly（o-methylaniline） were reported. Different properties were measured and compared with pani to find out the effect of electron donating groups （-CH3） and electron withdrawing groups （-Cl, -NO2）. It was found that the presence of any type of substitution in the benzene ring of aniline increased the solubility but reduced the yield, thermal stability and electrical conductivity. Two probe methods were used to measure the electrical conductivity of these polymers. The structural properties of these polymers were characterized by using FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods. Thermal degradation and stability of these polymers were explained by using thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） and conductivity measurements.
