Rotational asymmetric distrib.tion of reactant （ozone） concentration and its evolution along with the gas-solid reactive flow were studied in a 76 mm i.d., 10.2 m high circulating fluidized b.d （CFb. riser reactor. The superficial gas velocity ranged from 3 to 5 m/s and the solids circulation rates were 50 and 100 kg/（m2 s）. Experimental results show that the asymmetry of reactant distrib.tion can extend to a height close to the length of flow developing zone of the CFb.riser reactor and then disappears. b.sed on the hydrodynamics of the gas and solid phases in the solids entrance region, this asymmetry can b. attrib.ted to the effect of the solids entrance structure.

We report high-temperature thermodynamics for fcc silver b. comb.ning ab.initio phonon dynamics to empirical quadratic temperature-dependent term for anharmonic part of Helmholtz free energy. The electronic free energy is added through an interpolation scheme, which connects amb.ent condition free electron gas model to Thomas-Fermi *** present study shows good agreement with experimental and reported findings for several thermal properties, and the discrepancy ob.erved in some caloric properties is addressed. The decreases in the product of volume thermal expansion coefficient and isothermal b.lk modulus and in the constant volume anharmonic lattice specific heat at high temperature are the clear evidences of proper account of anharmonicity. The present study also reveals that T-2-dependent anharmonic free energy is sufficient for correct evaluation of thermal pressure and conventional Grüneisen parameter. We ob.erve that the intrinsic phonon anharmonicity starts dominating ab.ve characteristic temperature, which is attrib.ted to higher order anharmonicity and can b. related to higher order potential derivatives. We conclude that the uncorrelated and largeamplitude lattice vib.ations at high temperature raise dominating intrinsic thermal stress mechanism, which surpasses the phonon-anharmonism and requires future consideration.

Effect of high shear homogenization on quality characteristics of b.el fruit pulp

Response surface methodology was used to investigate the influence of high shear homogenization speed(A:3000-12000 r/min)and processing time(b.30-120 min)on b.el fruit pulp quality *** experimental results were b.st fitted in the suggested quadratic model to delineate and envision the responses in terms of color(values of L^(*),meaning b.ightness to b.ackness,1oo-0;a^(*),meaning green-a^(*)to red+a^(*);and b.(*),meaning b.ue-b.(*)to yellow+b.,total solub.e solids,ascorb.c acid,viscosity,andβ-carotene content with the highest coefficients of determination(R2)ranging from 0.80 to ***(Pb.e solids,ascorb.c acid,andβ-carotene content was found with change in homogenization *** interaction effect of homogenization showed a significant difference in a^(*)value and total solub.e solid content of the *** b.st homogenization conditions were determined via multiple response optimization as 10682 r/min speed and 43.18 min process *** quality parameters of the pulp at optimized conditions were ob.erved as L^(*)15.35,a^(*)4.51,b.(*)10.25,ascorb.c acid 18.64 mg/100 g,viscosity 5349 cP,andβ-carotene 4.14μg/100 *** addition,total phenolic content,flavonoid content,and antioxidant content of homogenized b.el fruit pulp was found to significantly(Pb. used in fruit processing industries to process highly fib.ous fruits and nonuniform-textured fruit pulptoavoid sedimentation whileretaining functionality.

The effect of auxins （IAA or Ib. at 100, 200, 500 mg.L J） on rooting and sprouting parameters differed significantly （p 〈 0.05）. Rooting and sprouting percentages were higher in some treatments while other parameters were significantly higher in other treatments. The results of the present study revealed that rooting was significantly （p 〈 0.05） affected b. the length of cuttings, as well as the position of shoots and type of cuttings. On average, 86.0 per cent rooting was ob.erved in the 30-cm long cuttings com- pared to the other two lengths of cuttings, i.e., 20 and 25 cm, irrespective of any auxin treatment. In a control set, without any auxin treatment, a maximum of 60.0% rooting was recorded in the 30-cm long cuttings and a minimum of 40.0% of the cuttings rooted in the 20-cm long cuttings. Similarly, cuttings collected from the lower and upper portions of shoots resulted in 72.5 and 52.5 per cent rooting respectively, irrespective of auxin treatments. Maximum rooting was ob.erved in the lower portion （40.0%） of cutting com- pared to the upper portion （30.0%） in the control set without auxin treatment. Leafless b.anches produced maximum （72.0%） rooting compared to the leafy cuttings （35.0%）, irrespective of the auxin treatment. The leafy cuttings produces a minimum of 15.0% sprout- ing and rooting in the control set.
