The present study designed two kinds of Fe-18Mn-1.3C-2Cr-(4,11)Al(wt.%)low-density *** and impact tests were carried out to evaluate the work hardening and impact toughness properties via aluminum(Al)alloying ***,microstructure evolution and fracture morphology were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRd),a scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with electron backscatter diffraction(EbSd),a transmission electron microscope(TEM),and a stereo-optical microscope(OM).It is found that the Al addition obviously promotes the dislocation planar slipping,resulting in cleavage and brittle impact fracture in 11wt.%Al ***,the microband-induced plasticity(MbIP)mechanism is found in 4wt.%Al containing steel,introducing considerable work hardening capacity and impact toughness of 156.8±17.4 *** present study provides a direct illustration of the relationship between work hardening and impact toughness behaviors of these two low-density steels for potential application as impact-resistant components.

This case report aims to report an uncommon case of bee sting keratopathy with retained stinger.A 55-year-old man presented with left cornea bee sting while gardening two days prior to first *** complained of severe eye pain with redness,tearing and blurring of *** examination,his right eye visual acuity was 6/6 and in left eye was hand *** was generalized conjunctival hyperemia and cornea showing significant descemet striae.A bee stinger with surrounding infiltration noted at 2 o'clock was associated with striate *** was deeply seated at the posterior third of cornea stroma near to paracentral *** was mid-dilated with absence of relative afferent pupillary *** was neither hypopyon nor *** posterior segment could not be visualized due to severe corneal ***,b-scan ultrasound was *** stinger was removed under local anaesthesia on the day of ***-operatively,patient was administered with topical moxifloxacin and topical non steroidal anti-inflammatory *** weeks later,there was resolution of cornea infiltrate with improvement of striate keratitis and his vision was improved to 1/***,cornea edema did not regress but ended up with bullous *** patient has undergone descemet-stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty and his vision was improved to 6/*** recommend early stinger removal to reduce the possible sequelae of bee sting toxicity for better visual outcome.

The CNO cycle is the main source of energy in stars more massive than our *** process defines the energy production,the duration of which can be used to determine the lifetime of massive *** cycle is an important tool for determining the age of globular *** proton capture via p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ,at energies of astrophysical interest,is an important process in the CNO *** this project,we apply a potential model to describe both non-resonant and resonant reactions in the channels where radiative capture occurs through electric E1 *** employed the R-matrix method to describe the ongoing reactions via M1 resonant transitions,when it was not possible to correctly reproduce the experimental data using the potential *** partial components of the astrophysical S-factor are calculated for all possible electric and magnetic dipole transitions in ^(15)*** linear extrapolated S-factor at zero energy(S(0))agrees well with earlier reported values for all transition types considered in this *** on the value of the total astrophysical S-factor,depending on the collision energy,we calculate the nuclear reaction rates for p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ.The computed rates agree well with the results reported in the NACRE II Collaboration and most recent existing measurements.

due to their excellent dielectric properties and the rapid response to microwave irradiation,silicon carbide nanowhiskers(SiCNWs)were employed as microwave susceptor in this study to absorb microwave and locally melt the surrounding polypropylene(PP)substrates for the joining of PP *** welded joint is formed after the melted PP was cooled and *** than microwave susceptor,SiCNWs also acted as the nanofillers in strengthening the welded joint through the formation of SiCNWs reinforced PP nanocomposite at the interface of PP ***,the effect of microwave power on the microwave welding of PP substrates using SiCNWs as susceptor was studied and *** was found that the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity of the welded joint improved as microwave power ***,it deteriorates the flexibility of the welded joint as high stiffness SiCNWs were incorporated deeper into the PP matrix which restricted the PP chain *** from microwave power,clamping pressure is also critical in determining the mechanical properties of a welded *** compared to unclamped welded joint,the tensile strength,modulus of elasticity and flexibility of welded joint subjected to clamping pressure improved ***,the tensile strength of welded joint increased when the clamping pressure was increased from P1 to P3,but decreased when the clamping pressure was further increased to P4 due to the occurrence of flashing at welded *** formation mechanism of SiCNWs reinforced PP welded joint was also proposed in this *** to conventional welding,this welding process is easy,straightforward and is able to produce welded joint with outstanding mechanical properties via precise controlling of the processing ***,microwave welding is thought to offer an option for the joining of thermoplastics and other applications.

The time discretization in the discontinuous Galerkin （dG） scheme has been traditionally based on the Total Variation diminishing （TVd） second-order Runge-Kutta （RK2） scheme. Computational efficiency and accuracy with the Euler Forward （EF） and the TVd second-order RK2 time stepping schemes in the dG method are investigated in this work. Numerical tests are condu- cted with the scalar burgers equation, 1-d and 2-d shallow water flow equations. The maximum Courant number or time step size required for stability for the EF scheme and RK2 scheme with different slope limiters are compared. Numerical results show that the slope limiters affect the stability requirement in the dG method. The RK2 scheme is generally more diffusive than the EF scheme, and the RK2 scheme allows larger time step sizes. The EF scheme is found to be more efficient and accurate than the RK2 scheme in the dG method in computation.

We aim to present a new scheme for high-dimensional atomic microscopy via double electromagnetically induced transparency in a four-level tripod *** atom-field interaction,we construct a spatially dependent field by superimposing three standing-wave fields(SWFs)in 3d-atom *** achieve a high precision and high spatial resolution of an atom localization by appropriately adjusting the system variables such as field intensities and phase *** also see the impact of doppler shift and show that it dramatically deteriorates the precision of spatial information on 3d-atom *** believe that our suggested scheme opens up a fascinating way to improve the atom localization that supplies some practical applications in atom nanolithography,and bose-Einstein condensation.

Epstein-barr virus(EbV) infection is closely associated with undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC), strongly implicating a role for EbV in NPC pathogenesis; conversely, EbV infection is rarely detected in normal nasopharyngeal epithelial tissues. In general, EbV does not show a strong tropism for infecting human epithelial cells, and EbV infection in oropharyngeal epithelial cells is believed to be lytic in nature. To establish life-long infection in humans, EbV has evolved efficient strategies to infect b cells and hijack their cellular machinery for latent infection. Lytic EbV infection in oropharyngeal epithelial cells, though an infrequent event, is believed to be a major source of infectious EbV particles for salivary transmission. The biological events associated with nasopharyngeal epithelial cells are only beginning to be understood with the advancement of EbV infection methods and the availability of nasopharyngeal epithelial cell models for EbV infection studies. EbV infection in human epithelial cells is a highly inefficient process compared to that in b cells, which express the complement receptor type 2(CR2) to mediate EbV infection. Although receptor(s) on the epithelial cell surface for EbV infection remain(s) to be identified, EbV infection in epithelial cells could be achieved via the interaction of glycoproteins on the viral envelope with surface integrins on epithelial cells, which might trigger membrane fusion to internalize EbV in cells. Normal nasopharyngeal epithelial cells are not permissive for latent EbV infection, and EbV infection in normal nasopharyngeal epithelial cells usually results in growth arrest. However, genetic alterations in premalignant nasopharyngeal epithelial cells, including p16 deletion and cyclin d1 overexpression, could override the growth inhibitory effect of EbV infection to support stable and latent EbV infection in nasopharyngeal epithelial cells. Endometriosis is a common chronic gynecological disease with endometrial cell implantation outside the *** is a major pathophysiology in *** previous studies have demonstrated that the prodrug of epigallocatechin gallate(ProEGCG)exhibits superior anti-endometriotic and anti-angiogenic effects compared to epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG).However,their direct binding targets and underlying mechanisms for the differential effects remain *** this study,we demonstrated that oral ProEGCG can be effective in preventing and treating ***,1d and 2d Proteome Integral Solubility Alteration assay-based chemical proteomics identified metadherin(MTdH)and PX domain containing serine/threonine kinase-like(PXK)as novel binding targets of EGCG and ProEGCG,*** simulation and bioLayer interferometry were used to confirm their binding *** results showed that MTdH-EGCG inhibited protein kinase b(Akt)-mediated angiogenesis,while PXK-ProEGCG inhibited epidermal growth factor(EGF)-mediated angiogenesis via the EGF/hypoxia-inducible factor(HIF-1a)/vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)*** vitro and in vivo knockdown assays and microvascular network imaging further confirmed the involvement of these signaling ***,our study demonstrated that ProEGCG has superior therapeutic effects than EGCG by targeting distinct signal transduction pathways and may act as a novel antiangiogenic therapy for endometriosis.
