Elevational patterns of warming effects on plant community and topsoil properties: focus on subalpine meadows ecosystem

Climate warming profoundly affects plant biodiversity, community productivity, and soil properties in alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. However, these effects are poorly understood across elevational gradients in subalpine meadow ecosystems. To reveal the elevational patterns of warming effects on plant biodiversity, community structure, productivity, and soil properties, we conducted a warming experiment using open-top chambers from August 2019 to August 2022 at high(2764 m a. s. l.), medium(2631 m a. s. l.), and low(2544 m a. s. l.) elevational gradients on a subalpine meadow slope of Mount Wutai, Northern China. Our results showed that three years of warming significantly increased topsoil temperature but significantly decreased topsoil moisture at all elevations(P<0.05), and the percentage of increasing temperature and decreasing moisture both gradually raised with elevation lifting. Warming-induced decreasing proportions of soil organic carbon(SOC, by 19.24%), and total nitrogen(TN, by 24.56%) were the greatest at high elevational gradients. Experimental warming did not affect topsoil C: N, p H, NO_(3)^(-)-N, or NH_(4)^(+)-N at the three elevational gradients. Warming significantly increased species richness(P<0.01) and Shannon-Weiner index(P<0.05) at low elevational gradients but significantly decreased belowground biomass(P<0.05) at a depth of 0–10 cm at three elevational gradients. Warming caused significant increases in the aboveground biomass in the three elevational plots. Warming significantly increased the aboveground biomass of graminoids in medium(by 92.47%) and low(by 98.25%) elevational gradients, that of sedges in high(by 72.44%) and medium(by 57.16%) elevational plots, and that of forbs in high(by 75.88%), medium(by 34.38%), and low(by 74.95%) elevational plots. Species richness had significant linear correlations with SOC, TN, and C: N(P<0.05), but significant nonlinear responses to soil temperature and soil moisture in the warmed treatment(P<0.05). Neuronal Response to Reward and Luminance in Macaque LIP During Saccadic Choice

Recent work in decision neuroscience suggests that visual saliency can interact with reward-based choice,and the lateral intraparietal cortex(LIP)is implicated in this process.In this study,we recorded from LIP neurons while monkeys performed a two alternative choice task in which the reward and luminance associated with each offer were varied independently.We discovered that the animal’s choice was dictated by the reward amount while the luminance had a marginal effect.In the LIP,neuronal activity corresponded well with the animal’s choice pattern,in that a majority of reward-modulated neurons encoded the reward amount in the neuron’s preferred hemifield with a positive slope.In contrast,compared to their responses to low luminance,an approximately equal proportion of luminance-sensitive neurons responded to high luminance with increased or decreased activity,leading to a much weaker population-level response.Meanwhile,in the non-preferred hemifield,the strength of encoding for reward amount and luminance was positively correlated,suggesting the integration of these two factors in the LIP.Moreover,neurons encoding reward and luminance were homogeneously distributed along the anterior-posterior axis of the LIP.Overall,our study provides further evidence supporting the neural instantiation of a priority map in the LIP in reward-based decisions.

Morphology-dependent activation of hydrogen peroxide with Cu_(2)O for tetracycline hydrochloride degradation in bicarbonate aqueous solution

The design of efficient heterogeneous catalysts in bicarbonate-activated hydrogen peroxide systems(BAP)is a hot topic in wastewater treatment.In this work,Cu_(2)O nanoparticles with different morphologies including cubic shape(c-Cu_(2)O),octahedron shape(o-Cu_(2)O)and spherical shape(s-Cu_(2)O),were applied in BAP for the first time to degrade tetracycline hydrochloride(TC).Compared with Cu^(2+)ions and CuO,TC degradation was boosted in the presence of Cu_(2)O in the BAP system,with the degradation rate following the order c-Cu_(2)O>o-Cu_(2)O>s-Cu_(2)O.The morphology-dependent effects could be linearly correlated with the ratio of surface oxygen species(O_S),but not with the surface area or Cu(Ⅰ)ratio.The c-Cu_(2)O catalyst with exposure of(100)facets contained 76.6%O_Sas the active site for H_(2)O_(2)adsorption and activation,while the value was much lower for o-Cu_(2)O and s-Cu_(2)O with dominant(111)facets.The presence of HCO_(3)-enhanced the interactions among Cu_(2)O,H_(2)O_(2)and TC,leading to facile oxidation of Cu(Ⅰ)to Cu(Ⅱ)by H_(2)O_(2),and the formation of various reactive species such as hydroxyl radicals and Cu(Ⅲ)contributed to TC degradation.This work provides a new method for enhancing H_(2)O_(2)activation with heterogeneous catalysts by crystal facet engineering.

Inquiry of modulatory role of sea buckthorn fruit oil on dyslipidemia and gut microbiota in hyperlipidemia mice

Hyperlipidemia constitutes a critical factor in the pathogenesis of vascular disease and gut microbiota dysbiosis. This study aims to investigate the role of sea buckthorn fruit oil (SBFO) in ameliorating hyperlipidemia， modulating gut microbiota， and elucidating the underlying mechanisms of its lipid-lowering effects. SBFO intervention in hyperlipidemic mice significantly reduced body weight and visceral adiposity index while mitigating symptoms associated with hyperlipidemia， including dyslipidemia， inflammation， liver damage， and endothelial dysfunction. Real-time quantitative PCR and western blot analyses revealed that SBFO enhanced the response of free fatty acid oxidation and breakdown (AMPKα， CPTa-1， PPARα， and PPARγ) while suppressing the synthesis of triglycerides and fatty acids (SREBP-1， FAS， and ACC) at the gene and protein expression levels. Moreover， SBFO intervention enriched the gut microbiota of hyperlipidemic mice by increasing the relative abundances of Lactobacillus， Faecalibaculum， and Allobaculum， while decreasing the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio. These findings suggest that SBFO exhibits promising therapeutic potential in attenuating hyperlipidemia in mice through the regulation of lipid metabolism and modulation of gut microbiota.

跨学科合作是科研生产力提升的动力之源,已有研究大多基于单一理论展开,未对“跨学科合作如何且在何种条件下能促进科研生产力的发展”予以合理解释。本文整合资源基础理论和社会认同理论的研究框架,以高校人工智能学术组织为例,考察了跨学科合作推动科研生产力提升的逻辑过程以及政府支持在其中发挥的作用。研究发现,跨学科合作中组织异质性和组织科研生产力呈正向关系,政府对跨学科合作的支持在两者关系中未发挥调节效应;组织与产业界联系、组织跨学科研究评价和组织科研生产力之间分别存在U型关系和倒U型关系,而政府对跨学科合作的支持均强化了这两种关系。研究结论对进一步厘清科研生产力来源具有突出的学术价值,同时对高校跨学科组织搭建与内部管理革新亦具有重要的实践意义。

As implant substitutes are increasingly applied to the clinic,the infection caused by implants has become one of the most common complications,and the modification of the antibacterial function of the implant can reduce such complications.In this work,a well-defined bowl-shaped nanostructure coating with photocatalytic and photothermal synergistic antibacterial properties was prepared on Ti-19Zr-10Nb-1Fe(TZNF)alloy.The coating is obtained by spin-coating and sintering TiO_(2)precursors templated from self-assembled microspheres of polystyrenepoly(4-vinylpyridine)(PS-P4VP)amphiphilic block polymer on TZNF alloy.PS-P4VP provides the bowl-shaped TiO_(2)nanostructures doped with C,N elements,reducing the band-gap of TiO_(2),which can absorb near-infrared(NIR)light to release reactive oxygen species and produce photothermal conversion.The bowl structure is expected to enhance the utilization of light via the reflection in the confined space.The bowl-shaped surface has 100%antibacterial rates after 30 min of NIR light irradiation.In addition to antibacterial properties,the bowl-shaped surface has better hydrophilicity and protein adsorption capacity.The amount of protein adsorbed on TZNF with the bowl-shaped structures was six times that of TZNF.Hence,the bowl-shaped nanostructure can promote the proliferation and adhesion of osteoblasts,the cell proliferation rate was increased by 10–30%.

为制备一种绿色环保的抗菌空气过滤材料,在壳聚糖水刺非织造布(CS)的表面静电纺丝一层壳聚糖/聚氧化乙烯(CHI/PEO)纳米纤维膜,得到壳聚糖微纳米纤维复合空气滤材(CHI/PEO-CS)。对制备的CHI/PEO-CS复合膜的微观形貌、力学性能、孔径分布、透气性、过滤性能以及抗菌性能进行了系统研究。结果表明:CHI/PEO纤维直径随着PEO质量分数的增加而增大,当PEO质量分数为0.45%时,CHI/PEO纤维的成纤率最好,对应的纳米纤维直径为146 nm;CHI/PEO-CS对300 nm NaCl气溶胶颗粒的过滤效率可达99.56%,对应压降为63 Pa;当壳聚糖水刺布表面静电纺纳米纤维膜后,CHI/PEO-CS在改善其过滤性能的基础上依旧保持原水刺布较高的强力,且具有较好的透气性能(246.2 mm/s);此外,CHI/PEO-CS对大肠杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌的拦截率分别为99.97%和99.88%,显著高于纯CS水刺布。

为探索多能互补的清洁能源供暖技术,满足北京市村镇分散式建筑清洁供暖需求,在北京农村地区建设太阳能-地源热泵复合式系统,进行太阳能补热热泵供暖实验,并利用COMSOL软件开展地温场热均衡模拟研究。结果表明:相较单一地源热泵系统,太阳能补热热泵供暖方案下,地源侧出水温度提升23%,系统制热能效比(Coefficient of Performance,COP)和机组COP分别提升19%、25%;系统运行10 a,地源热泵系统单季节运行方案下总的取热量要多于间歇期自然恢复量,地温场总均衡为-8.91×10^(9)kJ;单一地源热泵方式运行和太阳能补热方式运行在双季节情况下总的取热量小于总的排热量,地温场总均衡分别为4.220×10^(9)、1.084×10^(10)kJ。因此,双季节运行方案对地温场不会产生负均衡,反而会对地温场有一定的热量补充。地源热泵系统运行中加入太阳能补热,对地温场的影响更小,可显著提升系统和机组效率,该模式适用于北京农村地区特别是供暖需求较大的建筑。

目的观察先天性胆管扩张症患者囊肿切除术后的预后情况,探究影响术后发生胆道结石的风险因素。方法回顾性分析2004年5月至2022年1月南京医科大学第一附属医院收治的149例先天性胆管扩张症患者的临床资料,其中男性59例,女性90例,年龄32(21,47)岁。依据囊肿切除术后随访期间是否新发胆道结石分为2组:结石组(n=51)和非结石组(n=98)。记录患者的性别、年龄、病史、囊肿类型、胆道结石、吻合口狭窄以及癌变情况等临床资料。囊肿切除手术后对患者进行电话随访。logistic回归分析筛选囊肿切除术后发生胆道结石的风险因素。结果随访时间为120(24,211)个月。149例患者术后胆道结石、吻合口狭窄以及癌变的发生率分别为34.2%(51/149)、8.7%(13/149)和4.7%(7/149)。logistic回归分析结果显示,囊肿未完全切除(OR=3.332,95%CI:1.221~9.094)以及术后吻合口狭窄(OR=13.300,95%CI:2.586~68.401)的先天性胆管扩张症患者囊肿切除术后发生胆道结石的风险高(均P<0.05)。结论先天性胆管扩张症患者囊肿切除术后胆道结石的发生风险较高,囊肿残留以及术后吻合口狭窄是囊肿切除术后胆道结石发生的独立危险因素。
