Mounting evidence suggests that the ATP-gated P2X7 receptor contributes to increased hyperexcitability in the *** increased expression of P2X7 in the hippocampus and cortex following status epilepticus and during epilepsy has been repeatedly demonstrated,the cell type-specific expression of P2X7 and its expression in extra-hippocampal brain structures remains incompletely *** this study,P2X7 expression was visualized by using a transgenic mouse model overexpressing P2X7 fused to the fluorescent protein *** results showed increased P2X7-EGFP expression after status epilepticus induced by intra-amygdala kainic acid and during epilepsy in different brain regions including the hippocampus,cortex,striatum,thalamus and cerebellum,and this was most evident in microglia and *** of P2X7-EGFP with cell type-specific markers was not detected in neurons or *** data suggest that P2X7 activation is a common pathological hallmark across different brain structures,possibly contributing to brain inflammation and neurodegeneration following acute seizures and during epilepsy.

Objective: Stroke is perceived as a serious illness although it is preventable, and lifestyle alterations can be made to reduce its risk. Improvement of stroke care should be achieved through awareness of public, especially through high-risk group. Henceforth, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on improving awareness of high-risk people about stroke prevention. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was used to carry out this study, where a purposive sample of 80 adult patients at high risk for stroke were enrolled while they were attending the out-patient clinics of Zagazig University Hospitals for follow-up treatment;they were divided into two groups: case (40 patients) and control (40 patients). An interview questionnaire was used to assess patients’ knowledge regarding warning signs, risk factors, and immediate treatment;attitude;and their practice for prevention for stroke at pretest and posttest. Results: The study revealed the poor level of knowledge, bad level of preventive behavior, and negative attitude regarding stroke prevention at pre-intervention. However, after intervention, the high-risk people had fair level of knowledge with moderate practice for stroke prevention and positive attitude, with statistically significant difference between pre-post intervention and between the case and control groups. Conclusions: The study revealed that the nursing intervention seemed to change the knowledge, practice, and attitude of subjects regarding stroke prevention. This, in turn, implies that awareness of prevention of stroke and high-risk factor control could be important to reduce the burden of stroke in Egypt. Thus, further research on a larger scale is required to improve population knowledge and behavior for stroke prevention and control.

针对Linux下通过USB Gadget框架将USB接口模拟成其他USB设备时存在设备配置信息修改不方便的问题,可以使用Configfs动态配置USB设备。文中介绍了USB Gadget的框架与原理,重点分析了Configfs的主要数据结构和内部实现机制,给出了使用Configfs在用户模式配置USB设备的具体方法,并在***6ULL平台上将Gadget功能驱动层已有的串口功能驱动程序使用Configfs进行配置后,实现了将USB接口虚拟成USB串口设备。经过测试,虚拟串口设备传输正常,为开发人员在USB Gadget下使用Configfs配置USB设备提供了参考。

预测并构建了一种Ⅱ型的GaP/SiH异质结构,并对其结构特性、电子特性和光学特性进行了研究.结果表明,该GaP/SiH异质结构属于典型的Ⅱ型范德华异质结构,展现出卓越的能量稳定性.GaP/SiH异质结构的带隙为2.24 eV,Ⅱ型能带结构的排列有效抑制了光生载流子的复合.通过施加不同的双轴应变和垂直应变,可以对异质结的电子结构进行一定范围内的精确调控.GaP/SiH异质结构在可见光和紫外光区也表现出优异的光吸收性能,吸收率可达2.34×10^(6)cm^(−1).GaP/SiH异质结构表现出的优异性能为光电子器件的设计提供了参考.

In this paper, we deal with the problem of optimal control of a deterministic model of hepatitis C virus （HCV）. In the first part of our analysis, a mathematical modeling of HCV dynamics which can be controlled by antiretroviral therapy as fixed controls has been presented and analyzed which incorporates two mechanisms： infection by free virions and the direct cell-to-cell transmission. Basic reproduction number is calculated and the existence and stability of equilibria are investigated. In the second part, the optimal control problem representing drug treatment strategies of the model is explored considering control parameters as time-dependent in order to minimize not only the population of infected cells but also the associated costs. At the end of the paper, the impact of combination of the strategies in the control of HCV and their effectiveness are compared by numerical simulation.

Synthesis of Nitrogen-doped Titania by Solvothermal Reactions in Alcohols

Nitrogen-doped titania nanoparticles were obtained by the homogeneous precipitation in hexamethylenetetraminetitanium trichloride-alcohol aqueous solutions at 90 ℃ followed by heating at 190 ℃. Anatase, rutile and brookite were obtained, where the crystallite size, specific surface area and color greatly changed as 5～50 nm, 20～200 m2/g and light gray to yellow, depending on the solvent and pH. The products after calcination were yellow, indicating doping with nitrogen ion. All colored titania showed photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation for the oxidative decomposition of nitrogen monoxide in air. Especially, the nanoparticles of anatase type nitrogen-doped titania obtained using methanol aqueous solution showed excellent photocatalytic activity.

Wind-lens turbines(WLTs)exhibit the prospect of a higher output power and more suitability for urban areas in comparison to bare wind *** wind-lens typically comprises a diffuser shroud coupled with a flange appended to the exit periphery of the ***-lenses can boost the velocity of the incoming wind through the turbine rotor owing to the creation of a lowpressure zone downstream the flanged *** this paper,the aerodynamic performance of the wind-lens is computationally assessed using high-fidelity transient CFD simulations for shrouds with different profiles,aiming to assess the effect of change of some design parameters such as length,area ratio and flange height of the diffuser shroud on the power *** power coefficient(Cp)is calculated by solving the URANS equations with the aid of the SST k–ω***,comparisons with experimental data for validation are accomplished to prove that the proposed methodology could be able to precisely predict the aerodynamic behavior of the windlens *** results affirm that wind-lens with cycloidal profile yield an augmentation of about 58%increase in power coefficient compared to bare wind turbine of the same rotor *** is also emphasized that diffusers(cycloid type)of small length could achieve a twice increase in power coefficient while maintaining large flange heights.

Anthropogenic stressors can favor the occurrence of noninfectious disease that can be worsened by the impact of opportunistic pathogens,making the epizootiology of environmental diseases difficult to *** incidence and impact of oral lesions in nestlings of a facultative scavenger species,the black kite Milvus migrans,were examined over seven breeding seasons in the highly degraded environment close to Madrid,*** found an overall prevalence of 31%of nestlings with oral lesions,with no clear spatial pattern in nests with affected and unaffected *** occurrence and number of oral lesions were negatively associated with nestling body condition and brood ***,where all siblings had oral lesions,were smaller than those where some or all siblings were apparently healthy,suggesting that oral disease could be causing nestling mortality and,consequently,brood size *** turn,nestling body condition was negatively affected by lesion occurrence,brood size,and laying *** these relationships were bidirectional,piecewise structural equation modeling analyses showed a greater negative effect of body condition on lesion occurrence than vice versa,indicating that nestlings in poorer body condition were more likely to develop oral lesions(which could contribute to aggravate their state of deterioration)than those in better *** from small broods were also more likely to have oral disease(directly or indirectly through their lower body condition)than nestlings from large *** that hatched last in the broods showed greater development stress than those that hatched *** stressors could trigger poor body condition,and contribute to microbiota dysbiosis-related *** further research is needed to determine the consequences for the long-term fitness of individuals,actions should be taken to mitigate adverse conditions that may favor the appearance of environmental diseases associatedwithpe
