The hydrogen permeation behavior and stress corrosion cracking （SCC） susceptibility of precharged 7075-T6 A1 alloy were inves- tigated in this paper. Devanthan-Stachurski （D-S） cell tests were used to measure the apparent hydrogen diffusivity and hydrogen permeation current density of specimens immersed in 3.5wt% NaCl solution. Electrochemical experiment results show that the SCC susceptibility is low during anodic polarization. Both corrosion pits and hydrogen-induced cracking are evident in scanning electron microscope images after the specimens have been charging for 24 h.

Based on the Thomas-Fermi model,the calculation methods of the monatomic Gibbs free energy were found. The interior potential boundary condition under electric field was defined. The calculation methods of Gibbs free energy for the monatomic,compound,and solid solution with electric field were set up. Under the influence of electric field,the Gibbs free energy of Al is the most sensitive,followed by those of Li and Mg. At the solution temperature the Gibbs free energies of Al3Li and its elements under electric field are not symmetrical about the zero point of electric field,whereas at the aging temperature their values are symmetrical about the zero point of electric field. At the solution temperature near the zero point of electric field,the Gibbs free energy of Al3Li is higher than that of Al-2.14%Li. And at 460 K the Gibbs free energy of Al3Li is lower than that of Al-2.14wt.%Li under electric field. The Gibbs free energy of 1420 alloy decreases from both sides of electric field to the zero point at the aging temperature.

Laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectra of jet-cooled NiC1 molecules were recorded in the energy range of 12900-15000 cm-1. Six vibronic bands with rotational structure have been observed and assigned to the [13.0]2II3/2（v＇=0-5）-X2II3/2（v＂=0） transition progression. The relevant rotational constants, significant isotopic shifts, and （equilibrium） molecular parameters have been determined. In addition, the lifetimes of the observed bands have also been measured.

Herein,we successfully prepare highly dispersed and uniform small nano-size nickel nanoparticles embedded on core-shell carbon spheres by confined-deposition *** mesoporous silica layer containing surfactant coated on the surface of the polymer sphere provides confined space and effectively controls the growth of nickel nanoparticles during *** the same time,the introduction of nickel species has an impact on structure of the obtained carbon spheres,and it can promote the deposition of carbon to realize the adjustment from hollow to core-shell and then to solid *** to the uniform distribution of Ni nanoparticles with small size,mesoporous structure,N-doping groups,high specified surface areas,and core-shell structure,the obtained catalyst shows exciting ability for the production of CO by reduction of CO_(2)with a maximum CO Faradaic efficiency of 98%,indicating its promising prospect in electro-reduction of CO_(2).

Decoding brain responses to pixelized images in the primary visual cortex: implications for visual cortical prostheses

Visual cortical prostheses have the potential to restore partial vision. Still limited by the low-resolution visual percepts provided by visual cortical prostheses, implant wearers can currently only ＂see＂ pixelized images, and how to obtain the specific brain responses to different pixelized images in the primary visual cortex（the implant area） is still unknown. We conducted a functional magnetic resonance imaging experiment on normal human participants to investigate the brain activation patterns in response to 18 different pixelized images. There were 100 voxels in the brain activation pattern that were selected from the primary visual cortex, and voxel size was 4 mm × 4 mm × 4 mm. Multi-voxel pattern analysis was used to test if these 18 different brain activation patterns were specific. We chose a Linear Support Vector Machine（LSVM） as the classifier in this study. The results showed that the classification accuracies of different brain activation patterns were significantly above chance level, which suggests that the classifier can successfully distinguish the brain activation patterns. Our results suggest that the specific brain activation patterns to different pixelized images can be obtained in the primary visual cortex using a 4 mm × 4 mm × 4 mm voxel size and a 100-voxel pattern.

aiM To investigate the expression of annexin A5 in serum and tumor tissue of patients with colon cancer and to analyze its clinical *** Ninety-three patients with colon cancer treated at our hospital between February 2013 and March 2016 were included in an observation group, and 40 healthy individuals were included in a control group. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to determine the serum level of annexin A5, while immunohistochemistry was performed to determine the expression of annexin A5 in cancer *** The serum level of annexin A5 was 0.184 ± 0.043 ng/m L in the observation group, which was significantly higher than that in the control group(P 0.148 ng/m L for serum level of annexin A5 was used in the diagnosis of colon cancer, the sensitivity was 83.90%, and the specificity was 57.50%.CONCLUSION For patients with colon cancer, annexin A5 expression in cancer tissues is related to lymph node metastasis and tumor grade. Serum level of annexin A5 is related to annexin A5 expression in cancer tissues and is of diagnostic relevance.

Occupants are the core of the built *** heating,ventilation,and air-conditioning(HVAC)systems operate with predefined schedules and maximum occupancy assumptions with no consideration of specific occupant *** generalized assumptions usually do not align with the actual demand and result in over-conditioning and occupant *** recent years,with the aid of Information&Communication Technology(ICT)and Computer Science(CS),it is possible to acquire real-time and accurate occupant information to satisfy the exact thermal requirement through specific HVAC control in one particular built *** mechanism is called HVAC“Occupant-centric Control(OCC).”HVAC OCC strategy starts with collecting the occupant’s information(e.g.,presence/absence)and then applies it to meet the occupant’s requirement(e.g.,thermal comfort).However,even though some research studies and field pilot demonstrations have been devoted to the field of OCC,there is a lack of systematic knowledge about occupant data,which is the principal component of OCC for HVAC researchers and *** fill this gap,this review paper discusses OCC with a particular emphasis on occupant information and investigates how this information can assist HVAC operation in providing an acceptable built environment in required spaces during the required *** provide a fine-grained,comprehensive picture of occupant information,discuss its features,the modalities of information feed-in into the HVAC control,and the application of commonly utilized occupant information for OCC.

The polyporous carbon supported tungsten carbide（polyporous C@WC_（1-x）） composite was prepared using hexagonal silica MCM-41 as the hard template by raw material solution impregnation,mechanical milling and simultaneous reduction and carbonization by temperature programming in mixture gas（CH4/H2）.The structure and morphology of polyporous C@WC（1-x） composite were studied via X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and so *** electrocatalytic property was tested for the electroreduction of p-nitrophenol（PNP） in neutral *** revealed that the composite is consisted of polyporous carbon and nanocrystalline WC（1-x）,possessing good electrocatalytic activity in the reaction of PNP reduction.

Mechanical properties and microstructural evolution of Fe-22Mn-0.6C and Fe-22Mn-1.0C(wt.%)twinning-induced plasticity(TwIP)steels were investigated by monotonic,stress-relaxation and unloading-reloading tensile *** dynamic strain aging(DSA)effect,resulting from pinning of dislocations,effectively improved the dislocation activation volume of the two TWIP *** the meanwhile,DSA-facilitated twinning nucleation mechanism kept similar twinning capabilities of the two TWIP *** strain increasing,the formation of high-density deformation twins restricted the dislocation motion and reduced the activation volume with increasing ***,C addition simultaneously improved the ultimate tensile strength and uniform elongation,and significantly enhanced the friction stress,rather than back *** stronger short-range order effect,brought by friction stress,promotes the planar dislocation slipping,thus improving the work-hardening *** a result,the additional work-hardening capacity can be achieved in Fe-Mn-C with higher C addition.

Designing high efficacy photocatalysts is a promising way to improve solar fuel production *** this work,we prepared a core/shell composite of loose ZnCr layered double hydroxide nanosheets modified CdS nanorods for efficient visible light driven photocatalytic hydrogen *** highest hydrogen production rate achieved 425.8μmol·h^(−1) without adding any noble metal cocatalyst under the visible light stimulus,which is 22.4 times that of 1 wt.%Pt-modified *** corresponding apparent quantum yield is 13.9%at 420 *** is revealed that the synergistic actions of the interfacial redox shuttle of Cr^(3+)/Cr^(δ+)and the interfacial electric field enable the efficient separation of photoinduced charge carriers between two components via a Z-scheme energy band ***,with the hydrogen evolution contribution of Zn^(2+),a remarkable improvement in photocatalytic performance was achieved in contrast to bare *** work provides an effective methodology to construct highly efficient and economically viable photocatalysts for solar H_(2)production and mechanistic study.
