How interfacial electron-donating defects influence the structure and charge of gold nanoparticles on TiO_(2)support

The reduction degree of TiO_(2)support is critical to the performances of metal *** many previous theoretical calculations,only the bridge oxygen vacancy(Ov)was considered as the electron-donating defect on reduced rutile TiO_(2)(r-TiO_(2−x))***,titanium adatoms(Tiad.),oxidized titanium islands(***),and acid hydroxyls(ObrH)also exist at the metal/support *** conducting density functional theory(DFT)calculations and ab initio molecular dynamics(aiMD)simulations,we compared r-TiO_(2−x)surfaces with Ov,Tiad.,***,and ObrH sites loaded with Au nanoparticles(NPs).The results showed the Au NPs were oxygen-phobic but titanium-philic,resulting in wetting of Ov and *** short contact with *** and *** Bader charges of Au NPs(QM)showed a good linear relationship with the ideal number of donating electrons(Ne)from the defective sites(QM=−KeNe+QM,S),demonstrating the intrinsic electron allocation at the *** Ov,Tiad.,and *** exhibited similar slopes(Ke),relatively steeper than that of *** means in the scope of Au NP charge state,the *** *** have a close electron-donating ability with Ov,but the ObrH donates relatively fewer *** linear relationship can be extended approximately to other *** higher the metal work function,the steeper the Ke for easier electron donation from defective *** stronger the metal oxygen affinity,the more positive the intercept(QM,S).That explains the easy generation of metallic or negative Pt and Au NPs on r-TiO_(2−x),but hard for Cu and Zn in *** provides theoretical guidance for regulating the charge of metal NPs over TiO_(2−x)supports.

The on-demand food delivery(OFD)service has gained rapid development in the past decades but meanwhile encounters challenges for further improving operation *** order dispatching problem is one of the most concerning issues for the OFD platforms,which refer to dynamically dispatching a large number of orders to riders reasonably in very limited decision *** solve such a challenging combinatorial optimization problem,an effective matching algorithm is proposed by fusing the reinforcement learning technique and the optimization ***,to deal with the large-scale complexity,a decoupling method is designed by reducing the matching space between new orders and ***,to overcome the high dynamism and satisfy the stringent requirements on decision time,a reinforcement learning based dispatching heuristic is *** be specific,a sequence-to-sequence neural network is constructed based on the problem characteristic to generate an order priority ***,a training approach is specially designed to improve learning ***,a greedy heuristic is employed to effectively dispatch new orders according to the order priority *** real-world datasets,numerical experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed *** results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively solve the problem by improving delivery efficiency and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Electron engineering of nickel phosphide for Ni^(δ+) in electrochemical nitrate reduction to ammonia

The electrochemical reduction of nitrate to ammonia(ENRA)provides an efficient approach to remove nitrate pollution and achieve ammonia production ***,inspired by bio-enzyme in denitrifying bacteria,a carbon-coated nickel phosphide(NiPC)nanosheet derived from metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)is proposed as an efficient catalyst for *** electron engineering,controllable Ni^(δ+)in nickel phosphide is achieved by regulating the degree of phosphating,which enhances its activity for the hydrogenation of *** the result,Niδ+becomes one of dominating factors determining the efficiency of the ENRA reaction in nickel *** optimal NiPC catalyst exhibits impressive property toward ENRA:NH_(4)^(+)Faraday efficiency of 96.68%,NH4+selectivity of 99.04%,and nitrate conversion rate of 90.43%under low nitrate concentration(200 mg·L^(−1)).This work opens a new avenue for the design of next-generation catalysts through electron engineering for ENRA.

Dietary fiber intake and its association with diabetic kidney disease in American adults with diabetes:A cross-sectional study

Synthesis of porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures with excellent sensing performances for volatile organic compounds

Porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures self-assembled by uniform nanosheets were synthesized using a hydrothermal process followed by calcination,and the sensing performance was measured when a gas sensor,based on such microstructures,was exposed to various volatile organic compound(VOC)*** response value was found to reach as high as 100.1 when the SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) sensor was used to detect 100 ppm formaldehyde gas,much larger than those of other tested VOC gases,indicating the high gas sensitivity possessed by this sensor especially in the detection of formaldehyde ***,the response/recovery process was fast with the response time and recovery time of only 13 and 21 s,*** excellent gas sensing performance derive from the advantages of SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3),such as abundant n-n heterojunctions built at the interface,high available specific surface area,abundant porosity,large pore size,and rich reactive oxygen species,as well as joint effects arising from SnO_(2) and CdSnO_(3),suggesting that such porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures composed of nanosheets have a high potential for developing gas sensors.

Monitoring seismicity in the southern Sichuan Basin using a machine learning workflow

Monitoring seismicity in real time provides significant benefits for timely earthquake warning and *** this study,we propose an automatic workflow based on machine learning(ML)to monitor seismicity in the southern Sichuan Basin of *** workflow includes coherent event detection,phase picking,and earthquake location using three-component data from a seismic *** combining Phase Net,we develop an ML-based earthquake location model called Phase Loc,to conduct real-time monitoring of the local *** approach allows us to use synthetic samples covering the entire study area to train Phase Loc,addressing the problems of insufficient data samples,imbalanced data distribution,and unreliable labels when training with observed *** apply the trained model to observed data recorded in the southern Sichuan Basin,China,between September 2018 and March *** results show that the average differences in latitude,longitude,and depth are 5.7 km,6.1 km,and 2 km,respectively,compared to the reference *** Loc combines all available phase information to make fast and reliable predictions,even if only a few phases are detected and *** proposed workflow may help real-time seismic monitoring in other regions as well.
