With the advent of state-of-art technologies,the Telecare Medicine Information System(TMIS)now offers fast and convenient healthcare services to patients at their ***,this architecture engenders new risks and challenges to patients'and the server's confidentiality,integrity and *** order to avoid any resource abuse and malicious attack,employing an authentication scheme is widely considered as the most effective approach for the TMIS to verify the legitimacy of patients and the ***,several authentication protocols have been proposed to this *** recently,chaudhry et *** that there are vulnerabilities of impersonation attacks in Islam et al.'s ***,they introduced an improved protocol to mitigate those security ***,Qiu et *** that these schemes are vulnerable to the man-in-the-middle,impersonation and offline password guessing ***,they introduced an improved scheme based on the fuzzy verifier techniques,which overcome all the security flaws of chaudhry et al.'s ***,there are still some security flaws in Qiu et al.'s *** this article,we prove that Qiu et al.'s protocol has an incorrect notion of perfect user anonymity and is vulnerable to user impersonation ***,we introduce an improved protocol for authentication,which reduces all the security flaws of Qiu et al.'s *** also make a comparison of our protocol with related protocols,which shows that our introduced protocol is more secure and efficient than previous protocols.

The proliferation of deluding data such as fake news and phony audits on news web journals,online publications,and internet business apps has been aided by the availability of the web,cell phones,and social *** can quickly fabricate comments and news on social *** most difficult challenge is determining which news is real or ***,tracking down programmed techniques to recognize fake news online is *** an emphasis on false news,this study presents the evolution of artificial intelligence techniques for detecting spurious social media *** study shows past,current,and possible methods that can be used in the future for fake news *** different publicly available datasets containing political news are utilized for performing *** supervised learning algorithms are used,and their results show that conventional Machine Learning(ML)algorithms that were used in the past perform better on shorter text *** contrast,the currently used Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)and transformer-based algorithms perform better on longer ***,a brief comparison of all these techniques is provided,and it concluded that transformers have the potential to revolutionize Natural Language Processing(NLP)methods in the near future.

The prevalence of obesity continues to rise,and along with it comes a multitude of health-related *** healthcare community has consistently struggled with providing treatment options to obese patients,in part due to the reluctance of patients in pursuing the more effective(yet invasive)surgical approaches such as sleeve gastrectomy and Rou-en-Y gastric *** the other hand,the less invasive approach such as lifestyle/behavioral interventions and pharmacotherapy(Orlistat,Phenteramine,Phentermine/Topiramate,Locaserin,Naltrexon/Buproprion,and Liraglutide)have very limited efficacy,especially in the morbidly obese *** our best efforts,the epidemic of obesity continues to rise and pose enormous costs on our healthcare system and *** endoscopy is an evolving field generated to combat this epidemic through minimally invasive *** procedures can be performed in an ambulatory setting,are potentially reversible,repeatable,and pose less complications than their invasive surgical *** modalities are designed to alter gut metabolism by means of space occupation,malabsorption,or *** this review we will discuss different bariatric endoscopic options(such as intragastric balloons,endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty,endoscopic aspiration therapies and gastrointestinal bypass sleeves),their advantages and disadvantages,and suggest a new paradigm where providers may start incorporating this modality in their treatment approach for obese patients.

The existing shelf layout methods do not explicitly consider the attention and relevancy of the commodity systematically and thus have failed to capture the invalid associations,resulting in poor sales impact and customer *** such shortcomings,in this paper,we propose a mathematical programming approach for shelf layout problems based on comprehensive related ***,we introduce the concepts of related value considering both attention and relevancy;second,we give the concept of adjacent utility value and the freedom of placement,and further analyze the impact of the same commodity on surrounding commodities due to different placement positions;third,we establish a new comprehensive related value-based commodity layout optimization model(CRV-CL)and provide the solution steps integrating with a genetic ***,we analyze the characteristics of CRV-CL through a specific *** simulation results indicate the overall relevancy after applying the CRV-CL model.

INVERTING GENERATING FUNCTIONS WITH INCREASED NUMERICAL PRECISION-A COMPUTATIONAL EXPERIENCE

In this paper, we consider the numerical inversion of a variety of generating functions （GFs） that arise in the area of engineering and non-engineering fields. Three classes of GFs are taken into account in a comprehensive manner： classes of probability generating functions （PGFs） that are given in rational and non-rational forms, and a class of GFs that are not PGFs. Among others, those PGFs that are not explicitly given but contain a number of unknowns are largely considered as they are often encountered in many interesting applied problems. For the numerical inversion of GFs, we use the methods of the discrete （fast） Fourier transform and the Taylor series expansion. Through these methods, we show that it is remarkably easy to obtain the desired sequence to any given accuracy, so long as enough numerical precision is used in computations. Since high precision is readily available in current software packages and programming languages, one can now lift, with little effort, the so-called Laplacian curtain that veils the sequence of interest. To demonstrate, we take a series of representative examples： the PGF of the number of customers in the discrete-time Geo^X/Geo/c queue, the same in the continuous-time M^X/D/c queue, and the GFs arising in the discrete-time renewal process.

A Diagnostic Study of Record Heavy Rain in Twin Cities Islāmābad-Rāwalpindi

Using surface and NCEP reanalysis data along with radar and satellite images, diagnosis has been carried out to probe the reasons for the very heavy rainfall that occurred in Islāmābad-Rāwalpindi on 23 July 2001. It has been revealed that the sudden evolution of this meso-scale severe weather system was the direct result of strong surface convection in moist and unstable lower layers of the atmosphere. The subsequent rapid development was the combined effect of the presence of the mid latitude westerly’s trough in the north and moisture feeding through monsoon flow along the Himalayas and also the direct south-westerly current from the Arabian Sea. After the westward shifting of the Sub-Tropical High (STH) from the north of India, the strong divergence zone on its eastern edge contributed positively to the development of upward motion. Initially the convective systems moved towards the south and then southeastward following the steering current in the middle troposphere. Based on these analyses, the physical model of the sudden record heavy rainfall has been proposed and a comparison between the heavy rainfall in this case and one in China has been conducted.

Transmitted cardiovascular pulsations on high resolution esophageal impedance manometry, and their significance in dysphagia

AIM To investigate the behavior of pulsatile pressure zones(PPZ's) as noted on high resolution esophageal impedance manometry(HREIM), and determine their association with *** Retrospective, single center case control design scr-eening HREIM studies for cases(dysphagia) and controls(no dysphagia). Thoracic radiology studies were reviewed further in cases for(thoracic cardiovascular) thoracic cardiovascular(TCV) structures in esophageal proximity to compare with HREIM findings. Manometric data was collected for number, location, axial length, PPZ pressure and esophageal clearance function(impedance). RESULTS Among 317 screened patients, 56% cases and 64% controls had PPZ's. Fifty cases had an available thoracic radiology comparison. The distribution of PPZ's in these 50 cases and 59 controls was similar(average 1.4 PPZ/patient). Controls(mean 31.2 ± SD 12 years) were a significantly younger population than cases(mean 67.3 ± SD 14.9 years) with P 20%. CONCLUSION Transmitted TCV pulsations observed in HREIM bear no significant impact on swallowing. However, in older adults with dysphagia, evidence of impaired bolus clearance on impedance should be evaluated for external TCV compression. These associations have never been explored previously in literature, and are novel.

In the last few decades,crowd detection has gained much interest from the research community to assist a variety of applications in surveillance *** human detection in partially crowded scenarios have achieved many reliable works,a highly dense crowdlike situation still is far from being *** crowded scenes offer patterns that could be used to tackle these *** problem is challenging due to the crowd volume,occlusions,clutter and *** region classification is a precursor to several types of *** this paper,we propose a novel approach for crowd region detection in outdoor densely crowded scenarios based on color variation context and RGB channel *** results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new color-based features for better crowd region detection.

Landscaping and performance of some aesthetic plant species in hot, arid conditions of India

Establishment of ornamental and aesthetic plants in hot, arid conditions of India is difficult due to the prevailing climatic, edaphic and biotic factors. Effect of turfgrass on the growth of ornamental plants in hot arid conditions has not been studied so far anywhere in the world. A study was conducted on the campus of Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur, India to assess the performance of a few ornamental plant spe- cies in combination with turfgrass and without turfgrass with respect to different soil tilling intervals. Growth of plants was better with turfgrass than without turfgrass. We suggest adopting a soil tilling interval of 30 days to achieve optimum growth of ornamental plant species in terms of height and crown diameter. Our results can help reduce labor costs and achieving better landscapes in fewer days in hot urban conditions of Indian sub continent.

Nicotine induced hepatotoxicity and its prevention with date palm pit powder

Cigarette smoking is common in societies worldwide and has been identifi ed as injurious to human health. Nicotine is the most abundant component in the cigarette smoke. It is fi rst metabolized in the liver. The natural diet contains a variety of compounds, such as date palm(Phoenix dactylifera L.). It exhibits protective effect against different toxins. The aims of present study were to investigate the damaging effects of nicotine on the liver and the preventive role of date palm against such damage. Date palm pit powder was used to study its protective effect on nicotine induced hepatotoxicity. Three groups of adult male albino mice were used, each containing eight animals. Group A served as a control; Group B was used as an experimental group treated with nicotine(0.3 mg/kg) intraperitoneally for forty-fi ve days; Group C received nicotine(0.3 mg/kg) intraperitoneally along with date palm pit powder(500 mg/kg) orally for forty-five days. Histopathological examination revealed that the general architecture was damaged with increase in size of hepatocytes, central vein and number of fat vacuoles and periportal infiltration of lymphocytes. The nicotine treated mice showed decreased level of cytoplasmic vacuolization, necrosis and infl ammation. Date palm pit powder administration to nicotine-treated mice showed reversion of the damaged feature to nearly normal. These results along with previous study suggest that date palm pit powder is useful in combating nicotine induced hepatotoxicity.
